    if i was running things....

the 2016 designs from 1916 would replace the bullion buffalo fractionals. in essence the dime, quarter and half designs would be used for the 0.10, 0.25 and 0.50 toz.9999 bullion pieces.

for 2016 the usual 'special' versions (proof, rev proof or enh unc) would commemorate the last well designed coinage but in following years i would continue their use in the bullion program.

with the indian/buffalo already on the one toz it would be somewhat consistent in theme and would provide variety in design.

    ahhhh... just a thought

OPs suggestion makes sense. Us mint doesnt like to make sense. They like to be chaotic and frastrating, the more, the better, and make people pay, the more, the better. The way the mint sees it, all factors of stupidity and retardedness will be mitigated if the initial offering includes financial rape.
