And the same thing will occur when the Saratoga bullion puck gets released......................That seems to be APMEX's mo during the the 2015 bullion releases. However, people will go to Provident or JMbullion to get the bullion pucks for a lower premium. By APMEX raising the premium on the Bombay Hook bullion puck, they are just driving away customers to other online dealers where they are selling it for a lower premium.

Gainsville and Provident are the same ($99.54) BUT Provident saves you $20 with shipping for free over $99

    APMEX is $112.60/coin + shipping

    SD Bullion is $105.65/coin + $7.77 shipping

All are check payments and orders of 10 coins

Yep and to get that premium, you have to buy in bulk. You have to buy at least 50 of them and pay for them by wiring the funds or writing a check. It appears that the premium (on APMEX anyway) on the Bombay Hook puck presale will rise faster than the premium on the Blue Ridge bullion puck when it had its presale in June. I would not be too surprised to see a Bombay Hook bullion puck price of $125 - $130 price range on APMEX and a price range of $115 - $120 on other major online dealers by October 8, 2015 (the date of the Bombay "P" release).

With this 54 cent uptick in spot silver today, the lowest price that I have seen for the Bombay Bullion puck from the major online dealers was $101.41 (at Gainsville Coins).

If we get a bump in price of silver here it will be interesting to see if we catch a subsequent break when it comes to premiums.

Not for nothing but I ( good ol' andial) would be willing to make some private purchases here at 100 dollars per before the prices head back down again.

I'm sure there are folk out there willing to sell their leftover pucks at $5 over.

Hmmm...........Spot in the $15's and $103 for a "scruffy" 2011 bullion puck..........MEH. If you had a chance of getting a Vicksburg or a Chickasaw that was not "severely scruffy" then maybe...............but I am making a long stretch here when I wrote that.

Now, if it was $103 for a 2012 puck, then maybe....maybe a good deal if not "severely scruffy". Since APMEX is going to pick the park from the 2011 pucks, then, more than likely, a person will end up with a Gettysburg, Glacier or Olympic puck since those are the 3 highest minted pucks from 2011.

My verdict on the Random "scruffy" 2011 parks from APMEX..........PASS!!!!!!! (JMHO)

I do wish you luck brother 'Dial. However, the premiums on them are continuing to go up and do not appear to be going down anytime soon IMO.

I think that it might have more to do with the overall demand for silver since SAE's are getting rationed and premiums are rising on all types of silver overall. If the series is picking up steam it is because of the overall increase in demand for physical silver. The Bombay Hook bullion puck looks too much like the Everglades puck and with a relatively high mintage of 45,000, I do not see it getting much of a premium on its own. If the premium on the Bombay Hook bullion puck continues to go up, it is because of the current low spot/high premium environment more than for the actual puck. I suspect that if this current silver market environment continues into the end of the year and into 2016, then the Saratoga bullion puck and the Shawnee puck will have even higher premiums than the Bombay Hook puck. Then again, I could be wrong on this since I am still a newbie to ATB puck collecting. Take it for what it is worth.

...and those prices are on a clunker (IMO) design and a low population state. If those premiums get any higher on the bullion version paying the $149 for the P's will be the way to play it.

I don't think the design is bad, it's just already been done. If Bombay gets a higher premium than Everglades then that would be wild.

I agree. If the price for the Bombay bullion puck goes above, for example,$135, then the Bombay "P" would be a way to play it since the "P" would have a max. mintage of only 20,000.

This following below scenario is not very likely to happen IMO but...............

If the price of the Bombay bullion puck exceeds the price of the Bombay "P" ($149.95 + shipping), then the Bombay "P" is a no-brainer IMO. If that scenario happens, I would break down and buy the Bombay "P" on the U.S. Mint website.

I think the mintage numbers will play a bigger part with these. I tracked Great Sand Dunes very closely last year, had a thread on the other forum. All year long the Dunes coin was a dog even though it had a lower mintage. Everglades had a way higher mintage but the premium was almost double from all the big dealers. Week in week out the Sand Dunes numbers were low, but premium not that high. Now there is quite a big difference between the premiums of those two coins. I gambled pretty heavy on the Sand Dunes coming in low, and still waiting for the right moment to offload them. I think after the year when the next release comes out will send the premiums higher. The big A only show 6 left.

Apmex just changed their shipping date on the Bombay Hook Bullion Pucks from 10-6-15 (today) to 10-21-15. Wonder what's going on there?

I did pick up my Everglades.......Uh...I mean Bombay Hook puck today from a LCS. I pre-ordered it last Monday (Sept. 28) from a LCS and paid $110.00 for it on Sept. 28 and I picked it up today. Here is what my Everglades...Uh....I mean Bombay Hook bullion puck looks like.............

EDIT: Sorry for the poor pics since I took these after I got home late and it was dark.

I sent Apmex an email asking about the shipping date. Half an hour later I get a notice that my order shipped today. All is well. I paid $119.00 each, but with 5X Ebucks, they netted out at around $108.00 per.

That is an excellent price for ANY mint year bullion puck IMO. As a matter of fact, that is the lowest price that I heard of anyone paying for a bullion puck of any year. Congrats. :)

Yep I agree. That $85.00 price that Pitw paid for his Glacier puck easily beat the lowest price of $98.00 that I paid for my second LCS purchase of a Blue Ridge Parkway bullion in July. With the recent rise in spot silver, there are not many places online (if any) that currently sell any ATB pucks for under $100.00. The possible exception to that is ebay with any ebucks deals.

Even if spot was $15/ounce that puck would have cost the AP just under $85.....sounds weird that it would sell with zero added premium. Just sayin'

This is the auction site I purchased them from: http://www.ebay.com/itm/141782135571?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

I emailed APMEX several months ago, and asked them to start listing more items in coins, rather than bullion, so people could take advantage of E-Bucks. Not taking credit for it, I'm sure others did the same, but now they have done just that. If you look hard enough, there are quite a few ATB auctions under coins, you just have to do alot of sifting through things though.
