BEST GRILLED CHEESE | Grilled Mozzarella Cooked for an Italian Soccer Player | Scamorza in Padella
    Vincenzos Plate

    Published on Oct 26, 2016
Grilled Cheese with prosciutto on a bed of rocket is a warm and gooey gourmet delight that takes less than 5 minutes to make but the combination of salty cured meat with thick smoked mozzarella cheese and a drizzle of truffle will transport you to Italy with every bite.
This is 10 times better then buzzfeed grilled cheese.

    SCAMORZA WITH PROSCIUTTO

    INGREDIENTS:
    1 x full scamorza cheese
½ glass of white truffle oil (you can substitute this for EVOO if you don’t have any)
    4-5 slices of prosciutto
    100g fresh rocket
    UTENSILS:
    1 x medium size non-stick flat saucepan
1 x serving spatula (not plastic)
1 x serving board (preferably wooden)

    METHOD:
    1. Drizzle a small amount of truffle oil (or EVOO) onto your non-stick pan and heat it on a low-medium temperature.
    2. Place the scamorza cheese in the centre of the pan until the oil around it begins to sizzle.
    3. Using a spatula, gently lift the cheese and cook it on the other side. Repeat this until both sides begin to slightly brown.
    HOW TO SERVE:
    1. Prepare a wooden board for serving and create a layer of rocket on top.
    2. Wrap each strip of prosciutto around 2 fingers and gently peel them off, then place them around the board standing up right – they should look like small roses! – leaving room in the centre for your scamorza cheese.
VINCENZO’S PLATE: Make sure you keep the white fatty part at the top as this is what gives the effect of the rose petals.
    3. Once the scamorza is ready, place it on top of the rocket.
    4. If you’re using truffle oil, drizzle a small amount over the top for an extra kick.
    5. Serve immediately while the cheese is still warm and gooey by adding a piece of cheese, a prosciutto rose and a portion of rocket to each plate.
    E ora si mangia, Vincenzo’s Plate…Enjoy!

Daiquiris, Po'boys, Dancing, and More Daiquiris: Chef's Night Out with Nina Compton
    Munchies

    Published on Oct 27, 2016
In this episode of Chef’s Night Out, Nina Compton of Compare Lapin takes us around New Orleans for a night of daiquiris, po'boys, more daiquiris, Israeli cuisine, and dancing.

St. Lucia-born chef Nina Compton takes us inside her Warehouse District restaurant and explores the influences behind some of her signature dishes, like curried goat with sweet potato gnocchi, before venturing all over the city. First, we hit up Gene’s for some greasy sausage po'boys—the kind typically reserved for late-night crowds at this 24-hour joint. After grabbing a daiquiri for the road, we switch tears and dine on beef, lamb tartare, and foie gras at Shaya. Deciding its time to maybe take a break from eating, everyone heads to Frenchman Street, where they drink and dance to a brass band at D.B.A.

After working up a renewed appetite, we head back to Compare Lapin, where everyone jumps in the kitchen and prepares charcuterie, pasta with clams, boudin balls, and roasted goat.

Street Food - Chinese Street Food - Best Street Food China

In this Chinese Street Food tour video, I take you around many places in Chengdu. First, I visited this local dan dan noodle shop near the outskirts of Chengdu, Sichuan, China, and found the Chinese street food noodle experience and the atmosphere to be mind blowing and exciting! It is always an experience visiting Chinese street food areas! So much food and Sichuan ingredients, so many flavours to try! Afterwards, I took the subway into Chengdu and found many more street food specialties.

    Please like: www.facebook.com/foodrangin

I visited this busy Chinese restaurant on a Saturday early afternoon at around 11:30 am with already two bowls of noodles in my stomach and looking for more. My goal was to taste as much food and chat with as many locals as possible, that’s the true China experience. It was so busy, with so many people, there were so many different foods to eat and look at, tons of vegetable dishes, meat dishes, everything you could want really. There was fresh Sichuan cold "liangbancai", and a huge back alley seating area where everyone was sitting and feasting. All the locals were chatting loudly and enjoying a Chengdu afternoon.

If you're visiting China as a tourist, I recommend eating at one of these “fly restaurants” (poor hygiene but delicious food) and try a bunch of the food.

However, if you go to the place I did, DO NOT order the intestine dish. It was disgusting.
Instead of trying hot pot in Chengdu or hot pot in Chongqing, you could try some way cooler food in Chengdu at local “fly restaurant" like this. This should be a top priority for traveling in China in my opinion!

Chinese cuisine is so diverse, and I consider myself lucky to be able to live in Sichuan, eating Sichuan food everyday, tasting all the top Chinese foods to try whenever I want. I've decided to stay living in China for at least another 2 or 3 years and study to be a Sichuan chef to get the feel of it and eat as much as I can! I’m currently enrolled at the Sichuan Higher Institute of Cuisine.

PIZZA DOLCE ABRUZZESE | 3 Layered Sponge Cake Recipe | The Most MOIST Sponge Cake Ever
    Vincenzos Plate

    Published on Nov 2, 2016
Layered sponge cake recipe known as Pizza Dolce from the region of Abruzzo. Originating back to 1923, this layered sponge cake has evolved over time to become one of the most sought after organic sponge cake desserts in Italy. This pizza cake is a sweet mix of sponge layered with almonds, vanilla and chocolate custard topped with coffee icing and super moist thanks to the mix of liquors on every layer. It’s a flavour bomb and should be enjoyed responsibly.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

    METHOD:

TO MAKE THE MOIST SPONGE CAKE:
    1. Preheat your oven to 150 degrees celcius (302F).
    2. Mix 5 x eggs with 150g white sugar using a kitchen aid or electric mixer.
    3. Sift in 200g plain flour and fold through using a whisk.
    4. Cover a large cake pan with butter and flour to prevent the cake from sticking to it once it is baking in the oven.
    5. Pour the sponge cake mix into the pan and place this in the oven for around. 2 hours.

    TO MAKE THE CUSTARD FILLING:

    1. Place 400g sugar into a mixing bowl and add 100g of plain flour. Mix using your hands to get rid of any lumps.
    2. Transfer this into a saucepan and add 1 litre of fresh milk and 8 egg yolks. Mix this together really well using a whisk.
    3. Add a slice of lemon rind, then the cinnamon and vanilla.
    4. Mix gently, then put your saucepan on the stove at a medium heat and mix continuously using a wooden spoon. It should take between 5-10 minutes to become thick and creamy.
    5. Remove half of the cream from the saucepan and transfer it into a bowl to cool and set.
    6. Add 100g (or more if you like!) of dark chocolate melting buds and mix well. Continue to mix until the cream has changed in colour and then remove it from the stove to cool and set also.

HOW TO MAKE THE ALMOND MIX:

    1. This is a mix of almonds, sugar, pure vanilla, lemon and Amaretto (or Frangelico).

HOW TO MAKE THE MOCHA ICING:
    1. Mix one kilo of room temperature organic butter with 100g of sugar and combine using an electric mixer or a kitchen aid.
    2. Add 2 cups of espresso coffee and continue to mix through.
    3. The icing should start to thicken up. Continue to mix until you are happy with the consistency.

Wild mushroom recipe - cast iron cooking
    bowhunter2439

    Published on Nov 6, 2016
Bow gets some fantastic home grown shiitake mushrooms from freind Bobby , while not actually wild mushrooms the recipe is the same that My Dad used to use for his wild bounty , I put my own twist on the family recipe and put the shrooms over a nice bed of thin sliced grilled steak tips,
The shrooms were from a mail order kit , plugs were drilled in oak logs and implanted with the spore pellets , and grown in my friends back yard , I will leave a link in the description box when I find out the company they came from
    filmed on iphone 6
    Enjoy....!!!

Where It All Started | Best Turkish Baklava in Istanbul, Turkey!

Please read description for full story about how I got started Foodrangin. I visited Istanbul, Turkey, in July 2015 as one of the first places to go Foodrangin' outside of China. This is where I met Ting Ting, and now we're both full time foodrangin in China and outside whenever we get the time. She's filming every episode, translating, and managing all the behind the scenes stuff. Thank you for your continued support!

I'm currently studying hard at the Sichuan Higher Institute of Cuisine in Chengdu, China. I'll be here for another 2 years! I can't wait to film more and more and I'm uploading this video super late because I never published it and I wanted to show you where I met Ting Ting and how I began my food journeys.

This is how it all began. I came to China in 2014 as a masters student with a full scholarship to study international trade in Chengdu. It wasn't actually my goal or dream to do this, but I decided to do it because I figured it was a good backup plan if foodrangin didn't go through. Now I've dropped out of that program to study at culinary school, all possible through youtube. I dropped the scholarship and am paying through my own pocket now.

For my first two years in China, I payed for travel through private english teaching one on one. This payed for my trips to Malaysia, Turkey, Thailand, and India. I would go to study for my masters in the afternoon, and I found gigs teaching children one on one for 2 hours at a time nearly every hour I had free. After 2 years of making videos, the revenue from youtube began to be enough that I could survive in China and no longer needed to teach English privately. It helps that it's quite cheap in China, so saving up for travel was quite easy.

Now, this upcoming January, I'm taking a trip to India, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka, all payed for through Youtube. This is all thanks to you for watching my videos and I'm so grateful to have you as my viewer!

Thank you for watching! Please leave me a comment down below and I'll do my best to reply!

We all know that Italy undoubtedly is on top of the list of most travelers' wishes and Italian cuisine is appreciated all over the world. The charm of Italy is timeless, but what do people actually know about the real Italy apart from the main touristic spots and the most renowned dishes? From North to South Italy is full of hidden treasures, and Regional cuisine is the most authentic expression of the Italian culinary heritage.
Hidden Italy Tours, an emerging Travel Company based in Abruzzo (Italy) knows it well, and with the goal of making travelers discover the hidden treasures and flavors of Italy, has just started to organize a series of promotional events around the globe together with renowned chef and food blogger Vincenzo's Plate. Francesca Cichella, founder of Hidden Italy Tours, and Vincenzo Prosperi are two passionate foodies and share the same passion for their native Region Abruzzo, one of the best kept secrets of Italy.
They have started their adventure in the Land of the Rising Sun with their first promotional event "Abruzzo in Japan", held in one of the best Italian restaurants in Tokyo, the "Trattoria dai Paesani", the one and only Abruzzese restaurant in Japan and the Asia-Pacific area. The Trattoria, situated in the business district of Shinjuku in Tokyo, has been funded by Giuseppe Sabatino and Davide Fabiano, two passionate Abruzzesi who have brought a piece of Abruzzo in the heart of the metropolis. In just a couple of years the Trattoria has become a point of reference for all those who love Italy and Italian food.

    Salmon pasta recipe

    INGREDIENTS:
    350g Fresh salmon
    ¼ onion
    Handful of cherry tomatoes
    200g Philadelphia cream cheese
    Extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)
    Sea/Rock Salt
    5L water
500g mezze maniche pasta (You can also use Rigatoni or Penne)

    METHOD:
    1. To make your salmon pasta recipe, heat up a generous amount of EVOO in a large fry pan.
    2. Once it has warmed up, add cherry tomatoes and chopped onion.
    3. Let this simmer in the fry pan for 4-6 minutes until it begins to soften and turn into a liquid.
    4. Boil the water on the stove in a large pot.
    5. Sprinkle some sea salt on top of the tomato mixture and stir through using a wooden spoon.
    6. Add the cream cheese and break it down into smaller chunks while it melts into a sauce-like texture.
    7. Once the water has come to a boil, add a small handful of sea salt and let it dissolve. Then add your desired pasta for this salmon pasta recipe.
    8. When the pasta has boiled, strain it well and add it to the sauce.
    9. Smother your pasta with the sauce, mixing it through well with a wooden spoon.

    HOW TO SERVE:
    1. Right away! This salmon pasta recipe is best enjoyed when eaten as quickly as possible - right off the stove!
    2. Add a generous sprinkle of freshly chopped parsley on top of each serve of pasta and salmon with cream.

    E ora si mangia, Vincenzo’s Plate…Enjoy!

Chinese Street Food Tour in Sichuan, China | Going DEEP for Spicy Street Food in China

In this Chinese Street Food tour video, I take some travelers to Sichuan around many delicious street food spots in Chengdu and Leshan. First, we visited this local spicy firewood chicken restaurant near the outskirts of Chengdu, Sichuan, China. In the morning the next day, we began our full day of food ranging’ for Chinese street food. We started with a noodle experience and the atmosphere was exciting and the noodles were packed with delicious chili oil! I always have so much fun bringing guests to these Chinese street food areas in China. There are so many foods to try and so many Sichuan ingredients, it’s so fun! Afterwards, we took the subway into Chengdu for a full day of eating street food and delicious Sichuan food at Sichuan Chinese restaurants.

We immediately made our way to my favorite Chinese street market “farmers market” area in the west of Chengdu. This is the busiest street food market I have found in Chengdu. It’s packed with stalls selling anything and everything. What’s nice about it is that you can actually try some street food there, it’s not just all produce.

We then toured around eating more and more Chinese street food in Chengdu and visited a “fly restaurant” for dinner. I recommend coming to one to try the food! At night we took the train to Leshan in preparation for another full day of eating and to visit the Leshan giant buddha the next day.

Chinese cuisine is so varied and the flavors are so diverse. I consider myself really lucky to be able to live in Chengdu, Sichuan, China, and travel in china and live in china for the next few years while I study to become a Sichuan chef. This is where the best food scene is in China. The best street food scene in China. I love street food around the world, but here in Sichuan is hard to beat for now! I’m currently studying at the Sichuan higher institute of cuisine to be a Sichuan chef. In 2 or 3 years I will move to another place in Asia most likely, which I haven’t decided on yet.
