    NPC Bikini Competitor Amanda Lynn McDowell joined Critical Bench to show her posing skills AND talk a little about the importance of the Teardrop Muscle on the leg.

    The teardrop muscle or Vastus Medialis sits just above the knee on the inside of the leg. On bodybuilders, this muscle can be very developed and looks like a tear drop, thus the name.

    This muscle is a knee extender and knee stabilizer. True, you can target it well on the leg extension machine BUT since it's job is extending and locking the leg as well as stabilizing the knee, it is wise to do other movements to best engage it.

    Many of you might not know Zack Khan based off his name alone - a pro bodybuilder still climbing his way up in the ranks. But the people who do know Zack's name also know him best for his blunt, honest, and no bullshit attitude on social media. This is something that's been claimed before by many other bodybuilding stars such as Lee Priest, Rich Piana, and so on... but Zack Khan makes being honest an entertaining and outrageous endeavor. One specific thing he has been sure to call out is when fitness Instagram stars use fake weights in their videos. How does he know they are fake? After spending your entire life in fitness and bodybuilding you know what is and isn't possible.

    And it goes beyond Instagram - many people in the bodybuilding world take advantage of "average" people who know less about fitness to either gain subscribers or gain profit. To be clear this isn't everyone in the industry and certainly not the leagues pulling these tricks but it is hard to find out the truth behind, let's say, what's really in a supplement or if an athlete's workout really works as well as they claim.
