    In this video I go over a couple tactics you can use to set-up shots particularly against the pressure fighter.
    1. Do not always throw the jab to land, hit the gloves, aim for the eyes to blind, adjust the power and then go in to land your main punches
    2. Throw while stepping to create an angle for your main punch
    3. Step forward while diverting with the lead hook to land the right hand
    4. Step back and to the right and throw the uppercut, the better you get with this the more you will be able to throw this simultaneously

    Pecan nuts – 100g contains 4 grams of net carbs

    Pecans contain monounsaturated fats like oleic acid along with phenolic antioxidants that are healthy for your heart and help prevent coronary artery disease and strokes

    Pecans may help prevent coronary heart disease by inhibiting unwanted oxidation of blood lipids (Also known as lipid peroxidation - process in which free radicals steal electrons from the lipids in cell membranes, resulting in cell damage)
    Pecans are also rich in magnesium, which is known for its anti-inflammatory benefits

    Magnesium intake reduces inflammatory indicators in the body such as CRP (C-reactive protein), TNF (tumor necrosis factor alpha) and IL6 (interleukin 6).

    It also reduces inflammation in the arterial walls, reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease, arthritis, Alzheimer’s disease and other inflammatory ailments (1)

    Macadamia – 100g contains 5 grams of net carbs

    Macadamia nuts have a high flavonoid content - Flavonoids convert into antioxidants in our body that search and destroy free radicals and protect our bodies from various diseases

    Also rich in palmitoleic acid, otherwise known as omega 7 fatty acids, that provide building blocks for the enzymes and control the burning of fat and curb the appetite

    Has been shown to cause an increase in fat breakdown and an increase in the enzymes involved in fat burning for energy (increases white adipocyte lipolysis)

    Researchers at the Cleveland Clinic found that by taking omega-7 for just 30 days, patients had a 44% reduction in C-reactive protein levels

    Not to be confused with Palmitic acid: a saturated fat that is on the World Health Organizations list of most damaging fats to our heart - it is abundant in palm oil and has properties that can promote inflammation

    Study - Gut Health

    In one study, performed by the European Journal of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, researchers looked at participants who consumed daily oleic acid versus those who did not - found that those who did consume daily oleic acid were 89 percent less likely to have ulcerative colitis (4)

    Almonds (Phytic Acid) - 100 grams contains about 10 grams of net carbs

    Almonds also have a high phytic acid content - phytic acid, a substance naturally found in plants, serves as the principal storage molecule for phosphorus

    Phytic acid binds with other minerals, including zinc, calcium, iron and magnesium. Eating foods high in phytic acid, like almonds, can interfere with the absorption and use of these minerals and lead to a nutrient deficiency (5)

    When phytic acid binds to a mineral, it becomes a phytate. Once it is a phytate it inhibits the absorption of starches, proteins, and fats. They can be known as “Anti-nutrients.”

    Cashews - 100 grams contains roughly 27 grams of carbs

    The cashew is a nut and is botanically related to mangoes, pistachios and poison ivy

    Cashew trees produces a pear-shaped accessory fruit, or pseudofruit, called a cashew apple, which gives rise to a drupe that grows on its end. This is the tree’s true fruit, and the seed inside it is the cashew nut

    Cashews are actually “drupes” - means “stone fruits” like peaches and plums. Drupes are fruits that have a soft fleshy exterior and a pit with a seed inside

    Cashews also contain aflatoxins, which are toxic byproducts produced by certain fungi. They’ve been shown to cause liver inflammation and liver stress and thereby can stress the liver additionally when in a ketogenic state. By and large, cashews tend to be the most inflammatory nuts.

    Cornell university has aflatoxins listed as a “plant that is toxic to livestock and animals” as well.

    In this video I examine Bruce Lee's diet to see what kept him so shredded and gave him the energy to train and work as hard as he did. The results were kind of interesting.

    On the face of it, Bruce's diet doesn't seem that exciting. He ate a nutrient dense diet and avoided empty calories such as those found in baked goods. He supplemented with vitamins and minerals and ate smaller meals, more frequently.

    What's more interesting though, is that Bruce Lee also consumed a protein shake mix filled with a variety of interesting additional ingredients. These ingredients included brewer's yeast, inositol, lecithin, egg shell and more.

    I dug into this and did some research and it turns out this is actually a pretty awesome stack for increasing energy, motivation, brain function, fat metabolism and more. Of course I don't recommend all of it - note that eating egg shell can risk transmission of bacteria unless thoroughly washed and doesn't offer that much nutritional benefit other than calcium.

    But the rest of it is super interesting, so check it out! Oh and I actually tried the protein mix... not tasty!

A profound childhood loneliness prompted Jeff Gomez to seek solace in story which in turn connected him back to people and became his livelihood. His storytelling skills have been put to use by the media giants and even the US Government. His method of storytelling, inspired by anime, is transmedia and fleshes out a story across multiple media platforms. In this episode, Gomez explains how each of our lives is a story which you can shape in new and beneficial ways. If your story starts with an unfavorable or faulty premise, there’s always a possibility of a revision.


    Lessons:

    1. You are living a story and you’re the screenwriter.

    2. You are capable of revising the story of your life to reflect your current wisdom.

    3. Once people realize their connection to each other they’ll do less harm.
