Originally joined GIM back in May 2006 (with a different username). Stayed on through the closing and the new GIM2.

Had some serious medical problems, Two heart surgery's and two spine surgery's in nine months in 2011. Meds made me a real PIA to everybody, though I was only banned by Scorp once in 07 for pushing the envelope. I left because of all the BS that was going on after the transition. (old timers know what that means).

At the beginning of this month I closed down the two forums, and two WP stand alone blogs I was admin and owner of. So I decided to lurk here and see how things were going. Always liked the folks that are still at the helm. Glad to see the Book(s), Fred, and all the other creeps that were stirring up the shit here appear to be gone.

I'm not feeling too bad for a 74 yr old redneck, best one could ask for after 2011, so don't ever feel bad for me I've had a great life.

OK, enough. Glad to be back, it's been less than a week and I getting back into the groove.

Edit: Yeah the Blazer to the left is my daily driver. 6.2 diesel with 130k original miles, and loaded with every option in 88.

You say you were at GIM under a different name. Did you have the same avatar? Because that thing looks familiar to me.

I may have posted it at one time or another, but no it wasn't my avatar. My avatar was a cat with it's head upside down.

Crap, there I go spilling da beans.

Thanks for joining up! We're glad you came back!

It's a fine line between freedom to speak and where it crosses over into personal attacks, or creates an uproar.

Where to draw the line...? :don't know:

I always thought book was talented as heck. Sure got a laugh out of his stuff now and again.

remember blubberbutt? The guy posted vast amounts of racy pics. I would contact him and say reign it back a bit as other gimmer's were crawling up my keister calling it porn and blubberbutt was calling it art.

talk about caught in the middle with no way out............

Will be exercising the 1985 Dodge Van today, 143, 000 miles, 318 V8, 4 captains chairs. Yours is beeeeutiful, my 80s mach8ne is rough in comparison, but when you close a door it just " feels " 4x more solid than anything else factory made these day.
    Talk a little later....suns rising fast. :)

And so did at times. We got along well, but like Charles Douglas from the mid 1800's he also had a way to incite, and fuel a controversy. I did a lot over at the "other site" getting them setup in the beginning as John asked for help and knowing the software he was using I did help. I was forced out wrongfully (I feel) by magnus and fred.

After that because magnus insisted that I had a 'back door' into the software is when they switched to VB. John soon found out after having someone from VB look into the code that there was no back door. I was still here back then, but with all the BS I decided to just focus upon my own forum and stopped going elsewhere. But as I noted above I went through some difficult times in 11 and the narcotics I was taking made me a whole different person than what I really am. That is water under the bridge now and I hardly remember those days. So if anyone does remember them please forgive me if I harmed you in any way.

I don't wish to open old wounds, so let this post be the last about it. I have moved on, and thankfully so has GIM.

    Indeed we did.

We've all changed in the last 10 years. Change is a good thing, unless it's forced upon us without our consent...
