Picked up three boxes (three different times) of the New Tula Brass Maxx .223 55grn ammo. 50 rounds per box for less then $17 (at Wall-E-World). No one I had talked to had fired any so I took the plunge and fired a few hundred rounds through my Daniel Defense 1/7 twist shorty upper (lower was an 80% I built last year).

Results: No misfires, No failures to feed and No failure to extract. Cycled perfectly. Not very dirty, about average with Lake City and Winchester.

20 rounds out of 20 rounds in the 10 ring at 75 yards . Next was 20 rounds at 150 yards with only 3 dropped out of the 10 ring (2 in the 9, and 1 in the 6) using a sand bag prone position with iron sights.

Over all impression is very high. Not quit up to XM193 but for the price it's one hell of a deal.

Please let us know if you fire any as well.

Just curious. I know it's supposed to be "brass", but did you happen to run a magnet over any of it?

SilverCity, Yep, used the magnet on both case and bullet. Neither are magnetic. Also, Says on the box that it's made in Italy.

I have purchased some of the Tula Brass max 9mm. It was comparable to Remington 9mm previously used.
