Husqvarna 346xp BIG big bore vs 550xp Bench Talk
    hotsaws101

    Published on Jan 9, 2018
So here we have my personal 346xp BIG, big bore kitted 346xp that we are pitting against the "new and improved" 550xp. Time will tell how they compare so stay tuned....
The 346 BIG, big bore kit is a true 2mil overbore which I did before you could buy the 44.3 mm bb kit which is a 1.3 mil overbore from the factory. We are talking about a 49.32 cc bb kit currently available from the factory versus the one I made back in '06 that has a 45mm bore and is sporting 50.89 ccs of displacement.
My 346 BIG bb (Biggie?) pulls a 24" bar with authority and does pretty good with a 28" bar.
I have a miss quote at 4:02 with the 50.32 number instead of the actual 49.32 which came in a few seconds later - I did mention that I am only human....
If you are interested in some custom saw modifications, please shoot me an email.

Bucking A Nice Red For Master Landon
    hotsaws101

    Published on Jan 17, 2018
Continuation - seen in the "For Master Landon" video, here we are bucking the 1st 20' log off that nice redwood tree. As stated in the video, Master Landon prefers good falling/logging action over cartoons. Way to go Landon!
The 1st cut was 34" at 20'. 2nd 20' log was a 32" cut. 1st long log was a 40'er at 28". 2nd long log was 32 at 22" and then the last log was a shorty at 16". Plenty of length was realized for the land owner in this tree considering the tops disintegrate when they hit the concrete hard ground. Main thing - Saved the meat.
I am currently available for custom saw modifications. Please shoot me an email if you are interested.

The last Husqvarna I used looked and felt like it was made by Fisher Price and I recall one of the flimsy plastic control widgets coming right off in my hand. Their name has lost all value I previously held in it.

My current saw is the Stihl MS250.

372xp ...wrong clutch thread size caused a leak?????

The is one of the oddest issues I have ever seen. The clutch threads appear to be m15 instead of m14. I think this somehow means that there is less surface area to grab the sealing bushing, or no area at all... so there is a leak which toasted a piston :(

I put in a different clutch and the leak stopped instantly.

btw, it was only a vac leak, not pressure. .... gone now. now I have to get another new piston
