That is what the plane is designed to do. Under the tips of the wings are fuel vents. The fuel was probably uploaded earlier and at a cooler temperature. Now hotter and pumps running some of it is being vented over board to prevent damage to the fuel tanks. And even if they took off with a real leak, it would have been noticed during the many fuel checks enroute and they would have diverted if necessary.

How are people hitting the ceiling with their seatbelts on? I know when they announce in flight turbulence they always tell you and make you return to your seat but they don't check whether people are complying with seatbelt announcement (except before takeoff)

As above, passengers should wear their seat belts. At all times. If they don't, well they bought their injury. I am a pilot, and have had some really bouncy trips. By bouncy, I mean sometimes scary. But always I stayed in my seat even when everything else was floating or bouncing around the cabin. That's just how it is in some flights. And to think that these assholes are complaining about some jostling when they were not using seat belts?!

Airlines are offensive money grubbing phuktards who are also on the gov corporate welfare roles...that's your tax dollars at work! Add a liberal dose of DHS via TSA tyranny and you have a fine recipe for revolution and/or collapse of the industry. Either way history will catching up with these asshats shortly.

    From another site:

Its a travel scam. I read about it on a message board for flyers. They were all saying how they do it. I don't have the link. Read about it a few years ago. This is roughly how it works.

    1) Buy refundable ticket for small child.
    2) Book child's seat right by yours.
    3) Carry on child, but then don't give gate agent child's ticket.
    4) Put kid in seat that you booked, but didn't scan.
    5) If they try to give away seat, claim that you "paid for" the seat, but the gate agent must have scanned it wrong. Show it to gate agent and claim you handed it to them.
    6) Blame the airline and make a big deal on social media.

It all works if the flight isn't full. It also works because the CSR won't question you carrying a small child assuming its a lap child. The goal is to block the seat from others. Someone tried this exact same scam on Delta and they caught it.
