I have no qualms about Tubman being on a bill. I do have qualms with the reason for switching out Jackson for Tubman.

The irony is not lost on me that a political party that invented the KKK, Jim Crow and destroyed the black family unit and enslaved them with the welfare state is actually trying to put an unofficial republican black woman on the $20 bill. In fact, it was Republican President McKinley who signed legislation for her civil war pension without support from Democrats.
Excellent post. I should be able to get to acceptance and critical thinking but I’m still angry

I’m in the mood of if they want it, I’m against it

Trump officially disavows Patriot Party. Want to make sure folks don't make money off of his name but otherwise why?

Change of plans?
This would explain why -

"A top political aide to former President Donald Trump spent the weekend quietly reassuring Republican senators that the former president has no plans to start a third party — and instead will keep his imprint on the GOP.

The message from Brian Jack, Trump’s former political director at the White House, is the latest sign that Republicans considering an impeachment conviction will do so knowing that Trump may come after them in upcoming primaries if they vote to convict him for “incitement of insurrection.”

Jack did not mention impeachment in his calls. But he wanted the word to get around that Trump is still a Republican — and for many, still the leader of his party.

“The president wanted me to know, as well as a handful of others, that the president is a Republican, he is not starting a third party and that anything he would do politically in the future would be as a Republican,” recounted Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.). “The Republican Party is still overwhelmingly supportive of this president.”

Trump sends a message to Senate Republicans ahead of his trial

The ex-president could seek vengeance on GOP senators if they break with him on impeachment and vote to convict.

45 Republican Senators Vote Against Trump Impeachment Trial, Say It’s Unconstitutional
The 55–45 decision suggests that Trump will not be convicted in an impeachment trial

Forty-five Republican senators voted against holding an impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump over his remarks at the U.S. Capitol, saying it would be unconstitutional to impeach a former president.
All but five GOP senators sided with an effort proposed by Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), sending a signal that there are not enough votes to convict Trump. Convicting a president during a Senate impeachment trial requires a two-thirds majority.
Republican Sens. Mitt Romney (Utah), Ben Sasse (Neb.), Susan Collins (Maine), Lisa Murkowski (Alaska), and Pat Toomey (Pa.) voted with Democrats to reject Paul’s order, suggesting the five senators will vote to convict Trump. Romney was the only Republican senator to vote to convict Trump during his first impeachment trial in early 2020.
The Senate ultimately voted 55–45 to table Paul’s point of order, meaning that the impeachment trial will go forward. The House voted to impeach Trump earlier this month on the sole impeachment charge of “incitement of insurrection,” with Democrats claiming he incited violence at the U.S. Capitol earlier this month. Trump called on the protesters not to engage in violent acts and later told them to “go home in peace.”
Trump is the first president to be impeached twice, and the first president to undergo an impeachment trial after leaving office.

Ahead of the vote, Paul warned that he wanted to force his colleagues to go on the record.

Trump Creates ‘Office of the Former President’ to Advance US Interests, Carry on Trump Admin Agenda

“If we are going to put every politician in jail, are we going to impeach every politician who has used the words ‘fight’ figuratively in a speech? Shame,” he said. “I want this body on record. Every last person here,” Paul added.
Elaborating, Paul added: “As of noon last Wednesday, Donald Trump holds none of the positions listed in the Constitution. He is a private citizen. The presiding officer is not the chief justice, nor does he claim to be. His presence in the chef justice’s absence demonstrates that this is not a trial of the president, but a private citizen.”

Sen. James Lankford (R-Okla.) issued the following statement after he voted to support Paul’s point of order on the constitutionality of the trial of a former president: “This is not a trial; this is political theater. You cannot remove someone from office who is already out of office. In this trial there is no current President, no Chief Justice, and no possibility someone could be removed from office because they are not in any office. In a moment when our nation needs to unite, this trial will only create even deeper divisions.”

While a number of Republican senators have faulted Trump’s speech to demonstrators as a group breached the U.S. Capitol during the Joint Session of Congress, many have said it’s problematic to impeach a president who doesn’t hold office.
Any Republican who votes to convict Trump is sure to face blowback among the GOP base—as Trump remains an enormously popular figure in the party. Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) and about nine other Republican House members who voted to impeach Trump have faced significant criticism and primary threats.
Pushing back against Republicans, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) has stated that the trial is not unconstitutional. At least two Republicans—Romney and Murkowski—agreed with him.

“We need truth and accountability for Donald Trump’s actions. His impeachment trial will move forward in the United States Senate,” Schumer wrote on Twitter.
Several law experts—namely Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz—have argued the trial goes against the Constitution.
“It will be unconstitutional, but that probably won’t bother the senators,” Dershowitz told Fox News earlier this month. “The Constitution is very clear. The subject, the object, the purpose of impeachment is to remove a sitting president. And there are two precedents. One is very obvious. When President Nixon resigned in anticipation of being impeached and removed, there was no effort to impeach him after he left office.”

Was Tubman really that historically significant? No, not nearly as much as a few million other Americans. We should put Thomas Jefferson on the twenty. Or Teddy Roosevelt. Tubman can go on the three dollar bill.

I don't think but a handful of sitting republicans in house and senate could hold their seats if Trump actively championed against them in their primaries. I don't trust or believe in the gop. If I vote in the future, it'll be 3rd party

I also think the "Patriot Party" has a negative connotation that could be exploited by the left. The original Patriot Party from the 1960s to the 1980s was a socialist front party formed by Fred Hampton of the Black Panthers.
Read at Bonginoreport
Rasmussen poll today.
25% of voters would vote for a Trump Patriot Party, leaving 17% voting Republican. Leaving the door wide open for a Democrat Majority.
The old problem of 3rd parties, "wasted votes".

Will Jackson's become collectables?
Considering that I once read that twenties were the most numerous bills in circulation, and the most numerous held in foreign countries, and the most numerous counterfeit, it wouldn't surprise me one bit that if no longer "legal tender" it would remove a MAJORITY of cash liquidities from the CB's liability.

Unity: Biden's Climate Change EO Draws Strong Bipartisan Pushback, Would End 'Subsidies' That Don't Exist

Despite decrying the overuse of executive orders during the campaign as dictatorial, on Wednesday, Joe Biden let loose another blizzard of executive orders. Just half a week into his presidency, CNN counted up 30 such orders coming from Biden’s Oval Office on a wide array of subjects. Biden has imposed so many executive orders that the nation, including the media, has no time to analyze or react to most of them.

But Biden executive orders concerning domestic energy production are getting attention, scrutiny — and pushback. His climate-change order includes a directive to end so-called federal “subsidies” for fossil-fuel producers.

But here’s the thing. While so-called renewable energy sources are heavily subsidized at the federal and state levels, fossil-fuel producers are not. There is no “fossil-fuel subsidy.”
Jason Modglin, president of the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers, was succinct when I reached out to him.
“[T]he President promised to raise $40 billion in taxes on domestic producers today. There is no fossil-fuel subsidy in the Tax Code but there are standard business deductions including: the domestic manufacturing deduction, able to deduct costs, and account for asset depletion. These are similar to other deductions for domestic businesses.”

One source told me Biden’s action would “cripple” the industry. Fossil-fuel producers can presently write off the types of operational expenses any business may write off. For energy producers, this includes intangible drilling costs and depletion write-offs. If those write-offs go away, if Biden succeeds in singling out producers from being able to take the business write-offs other types of businesses can take, it would cripple their operations.

While Republicans can be expected to oppose Biden’s actions, and several including Reps. Steve Scalise (R-La.) and Yvette Harrell (R. N.M.) have, some Democrats have also stepped up demanding that Biden rescind the order imposing a moratorium on drilling and leasing activities on federal land.
Reps. Vicente Gonzalez (D-Texas), Henry Cuellar (D-Texas), Lizzie Fletcher (D-Texas), and Marc Veasey (D-Texas) sent a letter to the Biden administration opposing that EO. In the letter, they tell Biden that New Mexico, which voted for him by about 10 percentage points, would be devastated if the order stays in place.

New Mexico, a small, poor state that receives a huge portion of their revenue for things like funding Albuquerque schools, will find this rule devastating. Such a rule could also tighten supplies, send heating and cooling bills up, and cause a spike in fuel prices during a pandemic. Furthermore, this benefits Big Oil over small independents that did not have the resources to stockpile permits.
Energy producers in Texas, New Mexico, and other producing states are still reeling from the collapse in demand caused by the COVID pandemic. Layoffs have been massive. Biden’s orders would add to that misery.

President Joe Biden, widely praised for his inaugural call to unity, was asked about the forthcoming, highly divisive Senate trial of former President Donald Trump.
“I think it has to happen,” he responded.
But this process shouldn’t be confused with impeachment under Article 1, Section 3, and Article 2, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution. The appropriate term for what we’re watching play out in our nation’s capital is a show trial, the mock judicial proceedings carried out by tyrants such as Joseph Stalin after they took power.
If you think that sounds “over the top,” consider what recently happened in the House of Representatives. The president of the United States was “impeached” with no investigation, no evidence, and none of the normal due process such a momentous and rare decision requires.

Not to be outdone, the Senate will now hold a completely unconstitutional “trial,” much more worthy of a banana republic than the greatest constitutional republic in history.
Experience the best way to read The Epoch Times online. Try our free app for a limited time.
According to Wikipedia, “A show trial is a public trial in which the judicial authorities have already determined the guilt, and/or innocence, of the defendant. The actual trial has as its only goal the presentation of both the accusation and the verdict to the public so they will serve as both an impressive example and a warning to other would-be dissidents or transgressors.”

Sound familiar?
Ironically, just as 150 communist sympathizers from the U.S. entertainment industry signed a statement supporting Stalin’s show trials, the modern-day equivalent of 150 “legal scholars” has done the same in support of the Pelosi/Schumer show trials.

And just like the disgraced New York Times reporter Walter Duranty giving legitimacy to Stalin’s fake justice, we have the press falling into lockstep behind the leftists. A CNN columnist recently wrote that “truth and reconciliation processes” were always an important part of recovery for a nation that had gone to war with itself. But what she fails to point out is that these truth trials were often a ploy of communist dictators to consolidate power.
RELATED

Opinion: Is America at a Point of No Return?

Lest you doubt the real intent, you need only see her conclusion, that trials are an important part of helping people finally realize their guilt against their country by supporting Trump.
This modern-day great purge by leftists lacks all legitimacy.
Despite all their fervent claims, there’s no precedent for impeaching a president after he or she leaves office. The Founding Fathers were extremely meticulous in the shaping of the language in the Constitution, and made sure impeachment only applied to “The President,” and not a former president.

The mockery of this impeachment is demonstrated by Chief Justice John Roberts washing his hands of the issue, saying he has no constitutional requirement to preside over an impeachment not involving a sitting president.
Not to be deterred, it was decided that Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) will preside over the proceedings. You read that right, the accusers are now the judge and jury in this “impeachment” trial.
Contrast this rush to judgment and elimination of due process against actual historical precedent.
During the Clinton presidency, it involved a four-year investigation with a final report citing 11 grounds for impeachment, including perjury and witness tampering. Even then the House still held extensive debate, lasting more than two months. The Senate trial then took more than a month before finally acquitting President Clinton. During the impeachment of President Andrew Johnson, it took nearly two weeks of House deliberation before impeachment, followed by almost three full months of due process in a Senate trial. And, of course, there’s the precedent of Richard Nixon, whose resignation brought all House impeachment proceedings to a halt because they knew full well that you can’t impeach someone who isn’t the president.

Yet Biden and his cohorts are now showing they’d rather emulate the fake judicial machinations of dictators than follow the well-established process laid out by the Constitution and former examples of judicial process.
In all of this travesty, where is the opposition party?
Until Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) forced a vote on the unconstitutionality of this impeachment, the party that sells itself on being the champions of the Constitution had been standing quietly aside, hoping this latest white-hot purge would burn itself out before it reached them.
But it already has reached them.

For simply asking for a discussion and debate on the merits of election results, members of Congress and the former president are being threatened with disqualification from ever running for office again, prosecution, and jail. Objection to electors was called “democracy at work” by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) when she used this important procedure in past presidential elections, but now, any dissent is labeled as insurrection.
So if elected leaders actually believe that the same folks who are committed to pursuing a former president to the ends of the earth will suddenly stop their pursuit, they’re foolish and feckless.
After this, they’ll come for every elected representative who refuses to acquiesce to their plans for America, and then they’ll come for the everyday Americans. They’re already “canceling” any citizen who gets too noisy or objects too loudly to the party narrative; the rest of us they’ll handle through policies and regulations.
Anyone who loves freedom should be in full-throated opposition against this shameless move by the agents of the purge. Paul’s repudiation of this sham, joined by 44 other senators, was a start.

Leaders are slowly emerging from the chaos, and more Americans than ever are asking the right questions and looking for ways to be a part of the solution. The unmitigated and extreme efforts to silence half of America won’t go unanswered and may just be the jolt necessary for patriots to regroup and reengage in our Constitutional process.
As Benjamin Franklin’s words remind us, “We must, indeed, all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately.”

Arizona’s Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Lied – EAC Updated Website after Gateway Pundit Report Discovered Their Auditors Were Uncertified

Let’s face it, if you are willing to steal a US Presidential Election, then you will do anything. Today’s actions by the EAC will shock you.

This morning we reported that the two ‘auditors’ selected in Arizona by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors to perform an ‘audit’ of its 2020 election results had some notable issues.

The Maricopa Board of Supervisors limited their choices to two companies Pro V&V and SLI Compliance.
Pro V&V was also selected by Georgia’s corrupt Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger for a recent sham audit there. Secretary of State Raffensperger used Dominion-linked Pro V&V, an Alabama-based testing laboratory, to do the Georgia audit of the Dominion machines.

We know that Pro V&V has only three company contacts and has been in business since 2011. The President of Pro V&B is Jack Cobb. Cobb has been called in to perform audits for Dominion in the past. He performed one audit in the Philippines in 2019, but he referred to himself as the ‘Laboratory Director’ during this engagement. Pro V&V once had a certificate of accreditation from the USEAC but it expired in 2017. (No recent accreditation was noted on its website.)

SLI Compliance also provides little support for its election certifications on its site. It has a website and a page dedicated to voting system certification testing. SLI Compliance on its website claims it was accredited by the USEAC but this morning we could find no support for this or if this was current. However, we did see that both entities were used by Dominion voting systems for their recent audits.

This leads us to today.

The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors claimed they selected Pro V&V and SLI Compliance because they were certified by the EAC. But this is not true. The facts show something different. We pointed this out this morning!
So today the EAC added two memos to its site each dated with yesterday’s date, January 27th, from the desk of Jerome Lovato:
