Probably wants to present it FIRST to her legislature, to get "vetted"... and not be accused of "bypassing" it... or "acting on her own"...

California Democrats Charged With Election Fraud; Hauled Into Court in Handcuffs

August 18, 2021 Sean Adl-Tabatabai

Several people have been arrested and charged with rigging elections for Democrats in California, according to reports.

Democrat Compton City Councilman Isaac Galvan is among six people who have been charged with election fraud in Los Angeles county.

Galvan and former Compton City Council candidate Jace Dawson, another Democrat, worked together on a voter fraud scam to help Galvan retain his District 2 seat, according to a statement from Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon.

Galvan had previously run, unsuccessfully, for the California State Senate District 35 in 2016.

In his latest race, however, he unexpectedly won the city councilman spot against challenger Andre Spicer by a single vote: 855 to 854.

Dawson is charged with bribing a registrar employee who was counting ballots on election night.

“While we do not have all of the details regarding the charges brought against Councilman Galvan, the City takes any charges of elections fraud extremely seriously,” Compton Mayor Emma Sharif said.

According to a report by CBS Los Angeles, “Four others were also charged in the case – 34-year-old Toni Morris, 48-year-old Kimberly Chaouch, 61-year-old Barry Reed, and 51-year-old Reginald Streeter all allegedly registered to vote at Dawson’s address in Compton, even though they didn’t live there.

“All four are charged with voting illegally in the election.”

Both Galvan and Dawson have pleaded not guilty to the election fraud charges.

The four others charged will be arraigned at a later date.

The full statement from Gascon’s office is below:

Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced that Compton City Councilmember Isaac Galvan and five others were charged today for obtaining fraudulent votes in a June runoff that ultimately was decided by one vote.

“Elections are the cornerstone of our democratic nation. We must do everything in our power to protect the integrity of the electorate process and to ensure that elections are free and fair,” District Attorney Gascón said.

“The people of Los Angeles County expect and deserve a government that is free of political corruption at every level.”

Galvan (dob 2/14/87), Jace Dawson (dob 3/30/87), Kimberly Chaouch (dob 11/20/72), Toni Morris (dob 3/10/87), Barry Reed (dob 8/21/59) and Reginald Streeter (dob 7/16/70) were charged in case BA497713 with conspiracy to commit election fraud.

Galvan also faces one count of attempted bribery with intent to influence an election.Galvan and Dawson are scheduled to be arraigned today in Department 30 of the Foltz Criminal Justice Center.

The remaining defendants will be arraigned at a later date.According to the criminal complaint, Galvan and Dawson, a former candidate for the Compton City Council, worked together to secure votes to ensure Galvan would retain his District 2 seat.

Chaouch, Morris, Reed and Streeter were allegedly registered to vote at Dawson’s address in Compton, even though they didn’t live there.

All four are charged with voting illegally in the election.

Galvan won the election over challenger, Andre Spicer, 855 to 854.

Galvan also is accused of trying to bribe a registrar employee as she was counting ballots on election night.

The case remains under investigation by the District Attorney’s Bureau of Investigation and the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s Office.

The District Attorney’s Office would like to thank the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s Office for its assistance in the investigation and prosecution of this case.

The election security hole everyone ignores

Increasing numbers of polling places use electronic devices to check in voters and verify their eligibility. But the devices often create chaos and introduce new vulnerabilities to elections.

By KIM ZETTER
08/31/2020 08:03 PM EDT

Growing numbers of elections offices across the U.S. are using electronic devices to sign voters in at the polls — a shift that has occurred with little scrutiny despite a host of security questions and a history of balloting meltdowns.

Problems with the devices, known as electronic pollbooks, caused long lines during this year’s presidential primary in Los Angeles County and contributed to chaos and hours-long waits during Georgia’s primary in June. They led to past years’ snafus in places such as Philadelphia, North Carolina, Indiana and South Dakota.

While tampering with e-pollbooks wouldn’t directly change anyone’s vote, malfunctions or cyberattacks against the devices could sway the outcome in other ways — for instance by causing delays that prevent people from voting.

Pollbooks, unlike voting machines, do not undergo federal testing and certification and have no uniform standards governing their design or security. There is also no oversight of the handful of vendors who dominate the industry to ensure they keep their own networks secure. Kremlin-linked hackers attempted to breach the network of at least one U.S. e-pollbook provider in 2016, according to a leaked NSA document.

Federal lawmakers such as Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) have questioned electronic pollbook makers about the security of their products and networks. E-pollbooks and the companies that make them have gone too long without oversight, Wyden told POLITICO in an email.
“Electronic pollbooks have failed, repeatedly, in elections across the country and are clearly one of the weakest links in our election infrastructure,” he wrote.

That's odd. I don't see any references to any official audit results being released anywhere. Is there a link to it?

The ballot envelopes were not opened, but a hole in the envelope reveals your "mark" if you voted against gruesome.
this story is NOT TRUE

there is a hole in the envelope, there are no holes on the actual ballot itself

the ballot, when folded back-up properly, can be inserted into the envelope 4 different ways and not a one of the ways indicate anything about who was voted for...you can't tell by looking at that hole

what it appears to be, to me, is to indicate if the ballot is in the envelope or not...

I expect nothing to come from this sideshow. If history tells us anything it's that Newsom will remain in charge and the dismantling of the country will continue unabated! The fookin Republicans are fine with that.

If voting mattered it would already be banned!

The Hill crew showed a CA ballot envelope the other day. It has a small hole in it that if you mark "Yes" to support a recall, it will show through the hole (unless you fold the ballot the opposite way) so without opening the envelopes, the CA ghouls can simply toss enough "yes" votes to impact the election...or mark them as "soiled".

Arizona Supreme Court allows release of 2020 election audit records

By Bob Christie - Associated Press - Tuesday, September 14, 2021

PHOENIX — The Arizona Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected an effort by the state Senate to keep secret records of its ongoing review of the 2020 election in Maricopa County that are in the possession of the contractors conducting the recount.

The high court without comment rejected the appeal filed after an appeals court and trial court both ruled the documents are public records that must be released. The court also dissolved a stay on the appeals court ruling it put in place on Aug. 24 so it could review the record and decide whether to accept the appeal.

The Arizona Court of Appeals had ruled that the documents sought by the watchdog group American Oversight detailing how the recount and audit are being conducted are public and must be turned over.

Republicans who control the Senate have tried for months to keep secret how their contractors are conducting the recount. They argued that because the records are maintained by Senate contractors, they were not subject to public records law and that legislative immunity applies. But the appeals court in its Aug. 19 ruling rejected that argument.

The court said the main contractor, Florida company Cyber Ninjas, was subject to the records law because it was performing a core government function that the Senate farmed out.

“Allowing the legislature to disregard the clear mandate of the (public records law) would undermine the integrity of the legislative process and discourage transparency, which contradicts the purpose of both the immunity doctrine and the (law),” acting presiding Judge Maria Elena Cruz wrote for the three-judge panel.

“The requested records are no less public records simply because they are in the possession of a third party, Cyber Ninjas,” Cruz wrote later in the ruling.

A spokesman for Cyber Ninjas, Rod Thomson, did not immediately respond to a request for comment, nor did Senate spokesman Mike Philipsen.

It is unclear when the records will actually be released. There is a previously scheduled status conference hearing set for Thursday before the trial court judge who issued the original order.

The appeals court ruling came in a case filed by American Oversight that is fighting for transparency in the election recount and upheld a Maricopa County Superior Court judge’s ruling. That judge also ordered the Senate to turn over audit records it held, and they were released on Aug. 31.

“Arizonans can look forward to much needed transparency, even if it may reveal gross attacks on democracy itself,” Austin Evers, executive director of American Oversight, said in a statement.

Aaaaand it's over.

Newsome won.
Newsome won? Perhaps. Perhaps not. How would we ever know? All we know is what is reported in the media. That's how the 2020 election went. Unless the 2020 election is fixed, we will never be sure of any other election going forward.

Kill electronic voting machines and go to paper ballots with automatic audits. The only way to restore faith in the American way.

Newsome is just a symptom of the cancer that ails us.
