You got a link to that Moultrie mintage # Silver Art? My sight says it's only at 28,100.

Here is the link:

https://www.usmint.gov/about/about?action=PreciousMetals&type=bullion

After you click on the above link then do the following:

1.) Click on production and sales figures

2.) Click on Bullion sales/Mintage

3.) Select the program (America The Beautiful)

4.) Select "Sales totals by Month

5.) Select the year

That should give you the most up-to-date mintages.

EDIT: SongSungAU did better showing and explaining this than I did. Thanks SongSungAU.

For some strange reason the links to the mint won't open. I was getting my mintage numbers from a secondary site.

Yep, Ft Moultrie at 31,700. I will be asking the mint how a 2016 puck jumped 4000 midway thru 2017.

Your explanation was just fine and I don't think mine was any better. The US Mint has a convoluted way to display the info for the ATB bullion coins. I don't know why they make people go through a thousand clicks and then just show one year of data. They could just as easily display all data to date. But no, that would make too much sense. So if a person wants to see the sales for each year then they make you waste time and umpteen clicks to get the info. {bangs head against wall}

Why not just display it all or at least give you the option to download it in a file.

Midway thru 2018 Fred will suddenly increase by 5000. After Moultrie they now have me questioning their number accuracy.

It would not surprise me to see that happen. The USMint is full of possibilities.

I told myself that I was no longer going to buy any more ATB bullion coins but I could not turn down an ATB bullion Arches coin selling for $110 at a small coin show last week. I bought it for $110 and I just decided to flip it on ebay today.

So far, I am hallway there. I bought it for $110 and I listed it on ebay about 2 hours ago for $155 BIN price. So far, I have at least one watcher on it with several views so far. If I am lucky, it might sell later today. It has sold for more than $155 in past listings and I could have asked for more than $155 for it but I wanted my price to be competitive with other ebay sellers and sell it relatively quick and still make a decent profit on it.

I think I'm gonna buy some of the Ozarks ones - I've been to Alley Spring/Mill - it's an awesome place. If you are really lucky you will even run into the wild horses that live around that area.

It is a pretty design as well. Best of the year, imo.

I plan to buy just the Ozark "P" when it comes out next month. I do agree that the Ozark design is the best design of 2017. This design is well done IMO.

Well I shyt the bed on my plan to corner the effigy market, best I can hope for now is a 30,000 or less mintage .....should have been buying more Fred's.

I'm guessing Ozark passes Effigy before June is over based on design and silver taking a nice dip back into the 16's.

The 2016 Ft Moultrie puck continues to rise as well ....34,200.

It appears that the USMint decided to add 500 more to the Mt Moutrie bullion mintage. It is now up to 34,700 as of 5:20 PM today (June 12, 2017).

As for Ozark bullion puck, I think that this will be the most popular design and , along with the drop in silver in the $16's, it could create a demand strong enough to make to the highest mintage bullion puck for 2017. We will see.

I don't think the Mint can manufacture coins bullion or otherwise dated from a prior year. I will assume that they probably have a bunch of leftovers hanging around and it is up the the AP's to request certain issues. This theory would squash ANY concept of presently low mintage numbers for any issue....they could change in a year.

...but when ARE the final numbers final?

Good question. Although things SEEM almost random looking in from the outside, I wonder what those closer to the inside know.

Right now you can buy an Effigy puck for under $100 at Apmex, but it will cost you nearly $130 for Fred.

My guess is the big boys have the inside scoop on the real numbers. The dealers had the Moultrie puck unusually low for a puck with a 27,900 mintage. I scooped up a few thinking I was a genius and suddenly the mintage numbers start climbing.

Same can be said for the Fred. A few weeks back when Fred and Effigy were close in numbers Effigy premium stayed low while Fred's premium began to rise sharply ....somebody obviously knew something.

I gambled on the Effigy and I can accept that but the Moultrie has soured me a little. Who wants to be the guy investing in the lower mintage earlier pucks when suddenly just as the series ends 10,000 more Hawaiis show up on the mintage chart.

If the USmint had some leftover recent previous prior year (i.e. 2016 mint year) bullion pucks (very likely IMO), then I will make a WAG that the ATB bullion mintage will be final whenever the USMint depletes its leftovers of prior year bullion pucks. The only question is how many leftover prior year bullion pucks does the USMint still have (if they have any left)?

Told my last girlfriend I was a hard eight. She didn't believe me for some reason. Haven't seen the Mint come up with more coins from the past, except when the GSA came up with that Carson City hoard back in the late 70's. Who knows?

That would be the point....
......and that we will never have an answer to. The "wait and see" game on the final numbers is alive and well with this.

And the mintage keeps going up for Ft Moultrie........................

Mintage is now at 35,000 as of today

The USMint is apparently still digging out leftovers of this 2016 puck.

They found them in a box on top of the refrigerator in the breakroom.

Noticed one thing just now while looking at the cumulative numbers at the Mint site. Sellout (75,000+/-) of the Congratulations set for 2017. Only a fraction of that sold last year, and 2015. Lotsa graduates this year? High price to pay for a glorified Silver Eagle. I saw one on Ebay today, bid was up to $125.00 for the current year. Someone forgot to shop early for the graduate in their life. Holy crap, this is a bit insane! Guess that "S" mint mark is popular.

AH HA!!! So that is where they put them. Some "fat cat" USMint employee must have forgotten about where they put them. That makes sense now.

The 'S' mintmark makes the coin currently the 2nd lowest population Eagle. There are a lot of eagle collectors out there. This coin has become an instant rarity.

Here we are with the Mint doing something weird again. You have people every year that would like to purchase the congratulations coin for a graduate, but the Mint puts a special low mintage coin in the set, and it sells out in two minutes, and the big coin dealers on Ebay have hundreds of sets of coins each, if not more. I doubt many graduates got one of these sets this year. I figured all of this out finally, because I was attempting to purchase one of the sets for a niece of mine, and saw they were sold out at the Mint. I just don't get these people. They turned a congratulations coin set, into a collector and big coin dealer set. Is someone getting paid off over there or something?

Good question. Not only did they let the cat out of the bag at the eleventh hour, they had no purchase limits. There were definitely some big dealers who bought four digit quantities. The end result is that the collectors didn't have a chance to get in on the ground floor - only into the secondary market. It was a 'made for dealers' scenario.
