I think i hit the bigtime fellers. just got call from APHIS/USDA wildlife servieces. They want me to go clean up after some govt trappers, and kill some problem coyotes SW of Sterling colorado. It seems their guys cant get it done, I guess im getting my name out there by deeds, they cold called me and asked if id help em out. Chatting with the guy, it turned out I killed more coyotes in 3 months last fur season than their team of 3 govt trappers killed all of last year.

Newmisty, ill give you 50 frn plus shipping for that newhouse if you want to part with it. That is a real unique chain setup, it would look good on the wall in my office.

That's exactly the reason I grabbed it, I knew it would look great hanging up on someone's wall. I'll take you up on that offer would be happy to see it go to someone appreciative.

Just pm me with how you'd like to proceed.

Hes a few days away from hitting a million subs on the Tubes.
I too watched it twice. Then went to this one and really came to appreciate his approach. Very smart guy.

Got me a call boys, maybe a job or two.........its getting to be fall you know.

skinnin coyotes and bobcats. its dirty, like hanging out on kotex alley.

I can do the feet, I can do the lips taxi style. I thank I may come out of retirement just to get away from the wife. she has proved to be quite a pain in my ass lately. she wont quit talking.

They are going to have to bring the moneys, and the cold beer, I have 2 herniated disks in my neck, but I do have a skinning machine (hide puller).

Most fur this year wont be worth a shit, except muskrats, which will go over 5 frn for a good stretched hide.

In Loosi-anna the state pays a bounty of $5.00 per nutria tail. And trapper/hunter can keep the pelts. But I don't think you are in that area.

So I bought this trap at Goodwill a few years ago. Score eh'?

Well now I need to use it and I sprayed it down with silicone and gave her a trial run and she seems awfully stiff needs quite a bit of foot pounds to trigger. Looks like this thing needs some modification
Help thanks.

Its a gopher trap.

You will have to work on the dog, then link between the trigger (pan) and the rest of the trap, to make it sensitive. A triangle file will help. Try to smooth the dog so it has a hair trigger (just barely set). I have never handled a gopher trap, that is my guess on a fix.

What I figured too. Basically the same thing I do to my Victor mouse traps.

Thereis a video somewhere that I saw where a guy pumped propane into a gopher hole burrow, then tossed in something lit. Blew up 40 feet of lawn. Funny.
Cannot find the one I remember.
Here's one that sorta makes it at the 3:00 mark

In my case it would defeat the purpose but if you want to chip in for rebuilding fees' I'll give it a go...:bomb 1:

ahahah.....Seen something similar years ago:

Was killing residential trees and seen is contraption on this property. Curiosity got the better of me so I investigated as I could see there was a 12guage shotgun shell incorporated in this device. And, I tripped it and BOOM.
Flippen Irish Setter immediately knocked the contraption over and started digging. Owner, old man, heard the blast and came out and yes he was concerned and laughing, pulled the dog off and informed me about his device.

It was the dammnest thing I ever knew about but he assured me that when it goes off that the dog digs up the mole and eats it. And, he knows when it has worked and will reset it on another mole hole.

This contraption was of his own making.

Very interesting. I thought you were referring to a simple perimeter alarm at first. Wonder how much planning & training that required.

well the moles usually dig in a line so you uncover the last hole in that line and set the trap. Sometimes the mole moves on and sometimes the mole goes back and plugs the open hole; boom.

Me? I use sulfur and a propane torch. Yeah when you see acres of fuming sulfur coming out of the ground then you will understand how prolific moles are as the dig.

if your buddy is running that gear, you might talk w him. Im sure he has some tips.

Also that silicon spray, I bet it doesnt mix w dirt well, when you bed your trap. traps like being dipped in hot parrafin, makes em fast.

I have a buddy lives in storm lake iowa, he makes a thou a week trapping bats out of peoples attics, and caging coons and possums, squirrels and skunks, for the big money crowd @ their lake houses. Sometimes I drive up there, and we shoot coyotes with 22.250 ackley and 22 practical.

You ought to look around your hood, its civilized animal damage control. its a heck of an op for a guy w the population and some savvy. if I lived around alot of folk id be on it like stink on shit. You can get your name on the side of your new truck and have a utube channel.
