While the Drudge Report was once the place for unbiased news, it has clearly become a left wing (anti-Trump) propaganda site, similar to MSNBC, the Atlantic, or Mother Jones. Someone must have paid him a mint for the site, plus some to keep his mouth shut about the sale until after the election.

Who else has given up on visiting the Drudge Report?

citizenfreepress.com will probably be more to the liking of the GIM crowd. I find the layout to be harder to read on a phone than drudge but I gave drudge up more than a year ago. The constant refreshing and losing my place on the page got to me before the leftist ideas did.

Elon Musk just announced 'nuralink' a chip you can implant in ur brain so you wont need Drudge anymore. They will tell you what/how to think and save all this like button nonsense.

True story / so do ur own research while u still can

I occasionally surf over to Drudge when I've finished reading all other news sites. It's such a shame what a sellout Drudge has become.

Drudge ha never written a news story. He alters headlies for clickbait.

at one time you could find an interestig story that the LSM wouldn't report.........now it's just another butthurt report form from bitter communists and cruz davidians

Per the Q posts, it was bought by a foreign company with a confidentiality agreement until after the election. It definitely has turned to panic porn in the last 6 months.

From a Tramp bash site to a Tramp cheerlead site...The truth is evasive...what's the point?
Actually a site that prints lies to a site that reports truth.
Your TDS is showing.

I'd been told Disney bought it.

Drudge has a NDA for a period of time - probably not until after the election.

But, the Disney tie makes sense - back in the day, Drudge was a Disney drudge. He was working in their Anaheim gift-shop when his parents gave him a computer, and he learned out to put out his newsletter. Now, until recently, Drudge had cred - and Disney has become a major culture-warping weapon of the Left, with their pro-faggot, antiwhite, upend-society propaganda.

Disney bought momentary access to the so-called Right Wing. And they expected it would be permanent, because of course they expected that conservatives are just like their own sheeple, following without question.

Now they're finding that the money spent is wasted. Drudge cashed out, and I can't fault him for that. His talents, truly, were limited - his website was his only real success; but it was a big success and he has to plan for his own future. This was his way.

I haven't been to the DR in over a year, and will not be there anymore. Between Press California, Whatfinger, Bongino and Zerohedge, I have my needs covered.

He gave away his Sunday Latenight radio broadcast to Bill Cunningham at 700WLW, and Bill has grown it's national audience.
Drudge still had The .... Report at the time and told Bill he had to much on his hands. Asked if he could take it over and Bill did with much success.

Gave up years ago. Seems lots of others see it also & gave up. I see that as a good sign.

https://truepundit.com/drudges-historic-crash-hits-rock-bottom-numbers-from-august-tank/

Drudge’s Historic Crash Hits Rock Bottom; Numbers from Turbulent August Tank
Not even massive street riots, hordes of lawless vagrants burning cities throughout the United States and a dead-heat presidential election could help Matt Drudge’s spiraling news site in August.
The fall has been dramatic and historic, but also one predicted in mid 2019 by Thomas Paine.

Web numbers for the country’s biggest Joe Biden cheerleader just got worse for Matt Drudge’s spiraling news site.

Drudge’s monthly traffic in August was 63 million readers, according to similarweb.com analytics, down from 66 million in May. The spiral continues. In September 2019 Drudge was pulling close to 95 million readers and well over 100 million in August 2019, one year ago.

That’s roughly a 40 percent decline in clicks/traffic in a year, marking Drudge’s lowest volume of web visitors literally in decades.

A recap on Drudge’s slide that I wrote in December:

November brought an additional loss of almost 12 percent in web visitors to the embattled news site.

The loss of readers for Drudge since Septemeber is staggering. Drudge’s overall web traffic was down nearly 18 percent in September and October 2019, according to the tracking metrics on Similar Web. That massive and accelrated slide went from approximately 93 million visits to 77 million.

News consumers here have clearly spoken and Drudge appears to be in serious trouble with these numbers. He is bleeding former loyalists and often, regaining them is an elusive and expensive task.

Obviously. Drudge — if he is even still running the site himself at this point — remains uninterested in slowing th bleeding. And the site isn’t just bleeding out, it is hemmoraging.

Drudge’s lost traffic, added up since August, is tetering on 30 percent. In Nov. 2019, I wrote about the signifigance of that number. Here is a recap:

I have used the Enron model — specifically the schematics of its plummeting stock index — as a barometer for pinpointing problematic corporate warning signs, trap doors, and wayward executives and it rarely fails.

That type of rapid slide, even though it is web traffic compared to stock price, is beginning to parallel Enron’s stock model.

He lost me awhile back when the articles seem to get further left slants.
I say he sold out when the going was good, but kept it quiet. I haven't went back. FWIW

It may be worse than is being reported. Wouldn't be surprised if some high percentage of Drudge traffic is confirmation bias, not new seekers. Long time advocates checking in to confirm his about-face. I am guilty.

Another one I've also given up on is yahoo news. The lead headline right now is "Voter puzzled after odd exchange with Trump". A voter is puzzled after talking to a politician? This is news? This is the usual situation! The majority of the yahoo stories are Trump hit pieces trying to be disguised as something else.

Almost everything that Biden says is odd. We'll never see stories about that in the left media.

Same with "The Hill". They don't even pretend anymore. Every story they run has an anti-Trump slant of some sort.

Slowly but surely the masks are coming off and the real identities of these so called conservative sites are exposed. All part of the master long term plan but we're not that dumb. Like the stock market, past performance does not guarantee future results. Conservative articles from the past will hold no water once they change their colors to blue

The problem is, these sites are bought and sold - often on the low-down. And conservatives are like anyone else - they like a payoff for their work. It's not even criminal - people sell businesses all the time; and if you own a dry-cleaner, and a competitor offers you a price that is entirely fair...you take it, and he then just closes your shop down...that's his watch. You got paid for what it was worth to you.

In Drudge's case, he was of marginal talents - he just got astoundingly lucky, in hitting on the idea to put up the news tips he would learn at work from important people around him, and then being able to cultivate more-normal sources. Keep in mind, he was a low-level Disneyland employee, with no direction. His first computer was a gift from his parents. His first newsletter was just a compilation of news-oriented gossip and rumor, that was mostly proven correct.

Since then he failed at talk radio and wasn't able to branch out in media, the way so many others were. Now, he's probably in his fifties; what he had done first, a dozen others are doing as well or better. Time to cash out and start looking for that retirement in Thailand.

His site changed with ownership - and will probably close early next year, or be sold again.

Face it, we find news or articles, post them here and have an open discussion about them. If not for Scorp's hard work we might be as lost as a lot of the rest of the sheeple. I believe our discussions make us look at issues from many angles and give us a great advantage and insight few others have access to.
