Are we looking at a 50% market correction?

I've been thinking as much for a while now and I keep being wrong. So either inflation is kicking in and propping up the prices or it's about to get medieval.

One that's not circled in red. Beginning of Reagan's term, end of Carter.
Looks to be 40% -45% correction from 1977.

At these levels, I wouldn't doubt a 20% correction....but only a correction. It will come back.

I would not be surprised at all.
Some of these so-called tech companies are so overvalued it is criminal.

Before 401k's became fashionable, the stock market was on its own. Now it has billions going into it monthly. Hard to crash it when so much money flows into it.

No
This is to prevent a black swan event due to the election.
So they flood the market with paper'digital gold.
So they drop it enough and long enough for some people to doubt their calculations.
More time for the rest of us.

Unless someone creates another crypto currency like bitnuts, similar to bit coin, except you adopt a squirrel to mine your nuts for you( makes as much sense)
There will be no other place to store wealth.

If you look at the historical charts for the dow you can see from the early 60's to the late 800's the dow didnt do shit.. Then along comes the 401k's and its off the the races.
I think the main reason it didn't do anything is because so many were wiped out in 1929. That generation didnt forget nor did their children.
I don't know how much goes into 401k's every month but I'm sure its in the billions. Hard to crash a market when so much is pouring into it.
