Arex ReX Zero 1 Compact 9mm
TFB TV

Published on Jun 12, 2017
Since the Arex ReX Zero 1 showed up on the market, it has been making some pretty big waves. Not only has stolen more consumers from a popular German manufacturer than anyone ever thought it would, but it gave shooters a lower cost choice with some reasonably unique features. In this episode of TFBTV, Patricks takes the reasonably new ReX Zero 1 Compact out to the range to see what all the fuss is about. Is the Slovenian wonder pistol all that it is cracked up to be? Watch the video to find out what Patrick likes about the ReX Zero 1 Compact and what kinda turns him off from the pistol.

New Arex Rex Zero 1 Pistols On The Way! TFBTV First Look
TFB TV

blished on Sep 1, 2017

In this episode of TFBTV, James meets with Walker, the sales director for FIME Group (importer of the Rex Zero 1), and Marin, the head of development at Arex, too discuss two new pistols.

The most significant debut is the Alpha. The Alpha is meant to be an out-of-the-box competition gun: It has a 5 inch barrel and commensurately extended slide, however the slide cuts (pictured) are not for a compensator as it might appear, but, in fact, it's a weight reduction measure incorporated to decrease the overall cycle time of the slide. The sights will be a serrated flat black rear with a red fiber optic front. The frame, unlike the standard Rex Zero 1, will be all-steel construction. The trigger is a little bit lighter and smoother than the standard Rex, but there's not a spec sheet on what the trigger weight will be on the production model, although I glean that it may be marketed as a competition trigger and available to install in the Rex Zero 1. The diamond plate grips are very aggressive, and it also includes an extended beavertail. I should mention, however, that this is still a prototype gun. Arex was generous enough to give us a first look at the Alpha (and I will be shooting it tomorrow), but it will be formally introduced to the public at SHOT Show next year.

Also new is the nickel-plated Rex Zero 1 in both standard/full-size and compact configurations. This gun looks stunning with wood or the factory standard grips as pictured. It is functionally identical to the Rex Zero 1, including use of an aluminum frame. This is a true nickel-plated gun, it is not cerakoted or or otherwise coated, and as you can see from the photos below, it is completely nickel-coated inside and out. MSRP on the Rex Zero 1 standard model is $670, the nickel version should run about and additional 10% over the price for the standard Rex Zero 1. Look for the nickel plated version to drop this fall or winter. Again a big thanks to Arex and to their exclusive U.S. importer, FIME Group, for letting us get this sneak preview. Be sure to check TFBTV for upcoming video content on Slovenia and the Arex pistols.

TFBTV: Arex Rex Zero 1 Pistol Mini-Documentary
TFB TV

Published on Sep 14, 2017
In this episode of TFBTV, James is reporting from Slovenia. Slovenian gun company, Arex, invited TFBTV to tour the Arex factory, where it manufactures virtually every single component of the Rex Zero 1 in house, including the hammer-forged barrels, anodized aluminum frames, and hand assembled chassis. Arex subjects the Rex Zero 1 to rigorous quality control and proofing. James, a rabid classic German 22-series fan, as well as many other TFBTV viewers, has been under the impression that the Rex Zero 1 is a cheap imitator of the Sig 22-series. Arex invited James to test his beliefs, and James then learned that his preconceived notions about this pistol were incorrect. James takes you to the range with Arex to shoot every model of the Rex Zero 1, and then behind the scenes at the factory to see how they are made. Does this video change your opinion too? Is the Rex Zero 1 everything that the Sig is at half the price? Watch and make your own conclusions.

AREX Rex Zero 1S Pistol - Slovenian Factory Tour!
Military Arms Channel

Published on Dec 12, 2017
We pack our bags and meet up with the good folks at FIME Group and AREX in Slovenia for a factory tour! Yup, had the distinct pleasure of taking a tour with some other media folks including our friend James from TFBTV. We take you through the AREX factory, the home of the AREX Rex Zero 1S pistol and show you how these guns are made. We also show you some new products you can expect to see in 2018!

Please visit the Copper Custom home page to find out information on winning one of the two pistols I test shoot and sign in this video! I can't put a direct link because this causes YouTube great anguish (and me an account strike). Look for the "Auctions" link in the top navigation of the Copper Custom website!

In this video we take a look at the Arex Rex Zero 1 and give some first impressions. We borrowed this particular handgun from Moss Pawn, so special thank to them for letting us "break in" their gun. Stay tuned, much more on the way.
