Many of you guys may remember when the corrupt government and Even worse banking system of Zimbabwe screwed things up so badly that they experienced probably (fact check needed) the worst hyperinflation known.
Creating notes in the size up MULTI MILLION
BILLIONS
And The PRIZE 100 TRILLION Blue note with a stack of three rocks (unfortunately -trying not to laugh-) the stones were worth more than this Fantastic note!
In any case, I remember when even Apmex had them for a few bucks literally, I think a note was anywhere from 3-5 USD.
Now the currency has been rendered obsolete - it is no longer used and has been replaced by mainly the USD and SA Rand.
To get to the point these puppies are now selling for anywhere from 66-250 -
Luckily- and generously a family member, knowing my interest in PMs and classic Paper Notes from the early US snagged me one! In the PMG sleeve!
====================================================
Wondering did anyone snag up a stack of these back then? And if so and you are still sitting on them I might consider re-releasing some to the public! They are now a collectors item (HA! like they weren't sought after soon after mintage!) but averaging 100 give or take out of sleeve.
================================================
In theory one could have bought 100 at say 5 a piece for $500. My initial goal.
(Don't ask why I never pulled the trigger, I just thought it would get worse)
So if you average 100 x 100 per note you have a cool
LESS 500 - so profit of 9500 tax (not fee) free!
DANG - #^$&%!!! WHY!!!!
But I am a trillionaire finally! last pic is my coveted 100 trilly!
can't seem to load the file ATM...
Thanks!
