My mom just left from a visit and she was telling me that she has been taking black seed oil. I have never heard of it, but it is supposed to have many health benefits.

Does anyone here have any experience with it?

Do you take the liquid or the capsules? My mom uses the liquid and the taste is horrid.. It tastes like gasoline smells, lol.

I take the liquid form.

I don't think it's that bad of flavor.it's earthy/metallic tasting.but mild.

But hey....I've been healthy for about 3 months.and I always come down with something during these months.so I'll just keep taking it.

Its said that it's 'the cure for everything but death'.

Yep. Good stuff! I take the oil. Good for what ails you. Good for prevention of ailments. Just all around good.

Another good one for cold & flu season is elderberry. Commercially offered under the brand name Sambucol. Generic (non-brand name) as Sambuco. Depending on where you live elderberry may be growing wild alongside the road. You harvest the berries and make a tincture using vodka.

If you can stand the taste of black seed oil it's also good for "oil pulling". http://www.oilpulling.com/

Had a gum infection starting so I figured I would try the oil pulling using the black seed oil. I will NOT describe to you what I spit out when I was done but the gum infection never developed and I felt much better afterward. Not only that my teeth were much more clean than after a standard brushing and remained much cleaner looking much longer. Makes me question the validity of toothpastes for cleaning your teeth.
