poo poo on the 380 in a 1911. Go big or go home. This aint little league or kids soccer. The 1911 is a 45. If you can't shoot the 1911 in a 45 that doesn't mean that the gun should be dumbed down to a wussy round just so you can get a 1911 (ie participation trophy). Plenty of 380 options out there so no need to degrade the 1911. Go shoot a glock g42

Godalmighty, Rusty, that isn't the point of this piece. If you want a .45 caliber 1911 there are a multitude of options. This is a downsized 1911 in .380 and I'll bet it would be fun to shoot.

I'd bet he would have a couple made up special for himself. His pistol design, his cartridge design melded together. Browning calls it "the right .380," I believe. I might get one myself. I have a couple of the 1911-22's and they're great little guns. A pile of fun to shoot, accurate and reliable. I bet the .380 will be just as good.

.380 is very underrated and eclipsed only by .38 special as my all time favorite round.
