Now, for some casual study, I'm going to go back to that Ultimate RSI Low of 20 and build a bottom uptrend line to see where it goes.

Putting that Uptrend Line atop of those highs, let's see where it takes us.

What all does it mean?

*shrug*

It does seem interesting and rather fascinating to watch this all unfold.

Maybe I'm merely getting lucky and seeing shadows where the sun isn't shining (some Confirmation Biasing perhaps?).

At least I'm enjoying doing this bit of charting.

Thanks for coming along for the ride.

Some more Bin Gottle scribblins...

Decided to go over how I look for a downtrend. Looking short term left (not an exact science):

I'll build off of that out-of-band low.

I like that I have my 3 bottom line (somehow that sounds a bit...)...

It would have been good to have the RSI breach 40 to show a solid oversold position, but...

Battery life is almost gone... so just going to post what I did up last night (nothing much, just some scribbles).

Maybe I can get more going later today (work always gets in the way...)

Silverbuck - I like your work...
Thank you for the kind praise.

I have always been fascinated with technical analysis of all kinds (I'm a bit of a nerd - I love doing spreadsheets for fun), but I never thought about applying it to stock analysis until I found this place. I started delving into this nearly 3 years ago, but it wasn't until about a year ago that I began to get a grasp of things.

I still have much to learn, but like all art forms, I suppose that everything is always a work in progress.

Rough day. I'm waiting to see if the price is going to pop out of your band going the other way? :afraid:
It will pop out the other way.

We just don't know when...

In the mean time, here's a morning shot for your coffee.

No, they wouldn't get it. Most of them would call it a ponzi scheme or chain letter scam. But you get it!

I see we are down below your RSI 40 threshold. RSI will really need to take a beating this go 'round to challenge the summer low.

I'm expecting an upturn, if not now, soon. How long and how far?

*shrug*

Perhaps I'll try some Gin Bottling with the weekly and monthly.

In the mean time, here's an evening nip.

And remember folks, I simply do this for fun.

DYODD and GLTA.

Thanks for the well thought out call SB.
Not like some people on this board who's name starts with a G .:D

Hey Buck, where are we with the RSI? That bad boy must surely be scraping the bottom?

I did up a shot of Gin this morning, but had to dash off to work before posting.

Since we've crashed through 40, I'm looking at 20 for a bottom. It is not unusual for the price on the Daily to break out through the bottom, recover for a sip, then tank.

I need to go back to looking at the Weekly (which is where I started this at some time ago).

Now excuse me, but my glass is all empty.

Great thread! I rated it 5 stars!!
Thank you for the kind praise. I'm having fun with charting and hope that some day I can put the years of practice to good use. In the mean time, I'll continue to have my Gin and scribble a bit on charts.

Remember folks, I'm a my Gin Bottling with a squeeze of Lime and DYODD.

In the mean time...

Do I fall on my sword if it breaks $18.75 SB?

If falling on your sword means converting available fiat into a larger stack then I say yes. 2c

I'm going to wait and see if we "double bottom" on that June low. I'm no Guru but, I'm cautious. I was actually thinking and called a low in the $16s back then. Bought the bounce and am now even on that trade. Gunna tread softly for a bit. We may not be there(the bottom) yet. :afraid:
