Hoping for clear skies here.

It is well placed for anyone in the US, Canada and Mexico. For most of the US the moon will be visible for the entire partial eclipse. The only exception being along the East coast where the eclipse will be just starting as the moon rises.

Spaceweather.com has details here: https://www.spaceweather.com/archive.php?view=1&day=11&month=11&year=2021

And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

Luke 21:25-26 KJV

Less than 12 hours until the eclipse begins.

Weather looks kind of iffy here. Good luck everyone.

From the Astrological point of view this is very significant. We have a lunar eclipse Nov 19 and a total solar eclipse Dec 4. Things are suppose to really heat up during this time frame. The lineup of the solar eclipse has aspects for war and violence. Astrologers are warning people not to get caught in the potential violence that could be happening.
Very interesting listen

And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars;

Something else to consider along those lines, is the fact that the paths of the two American Solar eclipses (2017 & 2024) will make a big X across America.

Is that another sign?

I thought I would mention a few things for anyone planning to take a look.

The partial eclipse starts at 1:19 AM central time. However, max eclipse is not until 3:03 AM central. If you plan on just getting up and having a quick look 3 AM central would be a good time. Partial eclipse ends at 4:47 AM central time. (adjust for your time zone).

No telescope needed. It should look cool naked eye. If you have binoculars they should offer a very nice view. If you have trouble holding the binoculars steady (and don't have a compatible tripod), be sure to grip the binoculars closer to the objectives. It makes a huge difference for getting a steady view.

One of my telescopes is just about ready. Still a few clouds but I am doing my best to scare them away:

It is raining like crazy.
Perhaps it will blow clear before 0400 EST here.
Or I will have to live my viewing through EricTheCat.

Rained the entire time.
Visibility nill.
And when ya go out into the middle of my street and look direct east lined up across 2 manhole covers,
you cansee each and every space shot from 39 straight up or vectored a little for the path.
At least those guys over there will delay for bad weather.
I wanna make a complaint !

Seriously though, looking forward to some pics.
Regards to all, Haystack

I watched a few minutes of famous telescope live feed........the moon was, once again, devoured by a great dragon crossing the sky

we must burn a doob by noon to save the harvest
In some religions its a man that is scarified to save the harvest

I can't complain here. The skies cleared completely until about 30 minutes after peak eclipse. The view was beautiful when the moon was dark enough for the nearby Pleiades to shine. Also saw 4 nice meteors.

Many images to process, despite my anti-dew/frost heater sacrificing its magic smoke. I ended up lugging out my deep cycle marine battery so I could rig it to a 12V blow dryer to periodically warm the dew shield in order to fight the weapons grade frost.

Here is a quick process of a frame during max eclipse.

Here is a frame from before the eclipse started.

I just put together an HDR image from some of my frames. It is a combination of varying exposure times to gather details at different light levels. It more closely represents how your eyes would see the eclipse.

I compiled another HDR image with frames from shortly after max eclipse. I might like this one better but I think I need to look away from the computer for a while before I decide. Ultimately, I should have included a short enough exposure to show details on the bright part. Hind sight.
