1269 bottom of the box, 1287 top of inner box. Perfection would be 1278 bottom of inner box happening now
Overachiever...

The bear view:
potential dead cat bounce in play in the miners. We are sitting on the recent lows, so If the miners go much lower, I think the bear view will be in play.

From the bull side, I would not want this to break below the 200-DMA. If it does, I think any chance of gold breaking above $1400 this summer is completely toast. If we break below, might be best to walk away until the fall when seasonality is in gold's favor.

Damn! That's sad news about ole Bart Chilton.
Bart was one of the good guys. Bart would actually engage you in an email conversation while he was the CFTC commissioner. I personally had a back & forth email session with him and he never tried to duck out on anything or give blow off answers like "well, that's just the way it is".
He was always engaging, polite, and never once gave the air of being pompous, or self important. I always got the impression he was extremely well grounded and sincere.

I also had email exchanges with him and actually believed he was trying to fix things.

We seem to be at an inflection point with gold and the miners. They are either gonna rally from hereabouts...or not.

Its gonna totally depend on the bigger fish to determine whether to throw money at this or keep it in the S&P casino...

I should just move to Australia. I'd probably be stinking rich by now, holding the Aussie miners! :p
:D

Could be...

I can't complain.

Slightly dated Faber fix... $4000 POG. Closer to my expectation than most BTW.

40:10 for gold.

Back up the truck... but make sure you have enough air in the tires first!:inspector:
Odd situation, supply constricted with specific demand exploding against a looming recession. Dr Copper will be wrong if this plays as they think it will.

Current set-up in gold is looking bearish. If it plays out, it's targeting Louky's 1251.
Of course, it would be negated if it rises back above the resistance line (formerly support).

Hmmmmm.... I see a falling wedge.
