A Doctor can only be as good as his patient! If the patient wont follow doctors orders, it is immoral to blame the Doctor... My Cardiologist said that most of his patients wont follow his recommendations concerning diet, exercise, smoking & excessive alcohol use, etc... his only option for these patients is to treat them with pharma. Cant blame the Doc for that... Another complaint that can be heard from health care providers is that most patients cannot properly communicate with them. This makes a proper diagnosis a crap shoot.... ! Patient ignorance & lack of communication skills cant be blamed on the Doc.

Funny thing, informed patients that have performed due dilligence seem to have much better luck with timely treatments than the uninformed with low communications skills... Do ya think theres a connection???
Oh, my dear lord!! I about spit out my brandy!!

Barn, that is all so true!! And never mentioned. O the stories Scott has told me. Blood pressure stories are the most telling. Some are funny as can be. Some are funny like a Chevy Chase fallover. Some make you really mad.

I never mentioned this side of the story. But it is a big one. I will leave it at that and go back to the difficulty people have in finding a doctor because of the attrition of the over-over-over worked senior (and as a group, by far the best) doctors.

I have learned in this Lyme battle that the average US person fighting Lyme sees 26 doctors before finding one that can help them. Because of my dislike ( or substitute stronger words) of doctors, I only saw 1 before the Doctor that has helped me immensely on my 9 year fight. The first one would only use Pharmaceuticals antibiotics and nothing else. I went with a doctor that would use pharmaceuticals, herbal, vitamins, supplements food etc. Of course my wife and I each spent 7-8 weeks spending 60-70 hours educating ourselves before we even made an appointment with the first doctor. Have 2 daughters that are nurses and they sure wanted us to see Infectious disease doctor x or y. But by then we had learned how little the average doctor or specialist knows about Lyme and how much damage they can cause by trying to Practice on you.

Got to tell you, when you realize what sugars, dairy and grains do to your body it sure is easier not to eat them when they causeere so much pain and inflammation. Bread is no problem to stay away from then.
We have a poster here on GIM that is battling Lyme disease. I believe him and the wife were going to try colloidal silver to rid themselves of the disease. Haven't heard much about it lately.
He is a high strung Aussie going by the screen name of Zed.
Zed is gracious enough to provide us with technical analysis on occasion.
Hey Zed. You have any success with fighting that Lymes disease?

I have been researching colloidal silver but my alternative healthcare workers machine says my body will not tolerate colloidal solver right now. I probably should buy the colloidal silver generator that Abeland1 sells so that I am ready when my body will tolerate the silver. I would love to have a chat with Zed regarding his battles and outcomes.

BB, absolutely correct re communication. To get the maximum out of the doctors visit, please write down what your main complaint is and then 2 complaint and so on. Also you need to be clear what you expect out of the visit.

More visits may be warranted depending on the condition. If the condition persists you might need to see a tertiary care medical center in a large city so that you can get a second opinion.

Communication, in precise and concisely in chronological order if you have had chronic medical problems and medication and treatments that you have had. JMO

What kind of machine identifies what you can and can not tolerate ?

FYI: Most people the very first time they use EIS/CS may get a low grade headache. I know I got one the first time or two. It is called "Herxheimer Effect". You do not have to believe me GOOGLE it.
Even a healthy person has micro-organisms in the body that the body tolerates at certain levels. Silver and certain antibiotic drugs begin to kill these "micro-orgs". As they die off and the body begins to eliminate the dead waste it can cause the low grade head aches.

One way to test your sensitivity to EIS/CS is to use one teaspoonful of your EIS/CS. I held it under my tongue for a good minute or two before I swallowed it. About an hour or two later I noticed a low grade headache and took two aspirins. The headache went away. Each day I increased the amount of EIS/CS I consumed, 1 - 2 teaspoonsful, a Tablespoonful, two Tablespoons until I got up to an ounce and then a shot glass full when I got a touch of food poisoning.

I had no headaches after the second day, and now I use EIS/CS on a daily basis, Topically, Internally, I inhale it through my CPAP water reservoir of distilled water and a shot of EIS/CS. I clean food prep surfaces and wash stinky socks and athletic gear with two ounces poured in with the detergent.
With flu season working its way in I'll put EIS/CS in my cool-mist vaporizer with distilled water when anybody comes down with the first sniffles or persistent cough.

Veterinary docs have a much easier time diagnosing patients.
