Dick Morris – Huma, Clinton And Weiner Are In Serious Trouble
Posted on October 29, 2016 by Rick Wells

Dick Morris explains the reopening of the Hillary Clinton investigation as he understands it, saying, “What happened here was that, the Congressional Committee subpoenaed and the FBI requested Huma Abedin, her chief aide, to turn over any emails she had that might be relevant to the investigation; and she did.”

Morris continues, “But then the FBI was investigating Weiner, her husband, the former Congressman, to see if his sexting involved soliciting minors across state lines, which would trigger federal jurisdiction. And in the course of that investigation they took the computers belonging to both of them, Huma and Anthony, they’re married. And it turned out that Huma’s computer contained, according to one source, at least a thousand emails that should have been turned over and were not turned over.”

Mr. Morris points out that her failure to do so constituted her “breaking the law about the subpoena and breaking her commitment to the FBI voluntarily to turn them over. So this is pretty serious. Her chief aide and Hillary’s main confidant sat on a thousand or more emails that were relevant to their investigation.”

Morris makes the point that “even if the FBI goes down the same road it did before, which is to say yeah there were emails, yeah they should have been turned over, yeah they contained some classified material but no, we’re not going to recommend an indictment, it’s nine days before the election. And the very fact that they’re doing this, which is not their policy, their policy is to stay away from the period before an election, that’s why they wrapped up the investigation in early July, for them to do this really changes this whole game.”

“And it comes at a time when Hillary is really in serious trouble,” says Morris. “Two days ago Doug Band had a memo released by WikiLeaks where he brags about how he brought sixty million dollars of revenue into Bill Clinton’s pocket by using the Clinton Foundation and its consulting firm Teneo to line up what are in effect bribes.”

He makes the counter point that it comes at a time when Trump is really hitting his stride, particularly with blue collar voters, by focusing on the Obamacare premium increases that are really roiling the electorate.

He recalls how Bill Clinton won the presidency in 1992 under a dubious indictment of Caspar Weinberger, Bush’s Defense Secretary. That indictment was filed on the Friday before the election and stopped a surging Bush from overtaking Clinton.

Morris notes the irony that it is now a late criminal proceeding that may have the reverse effect on another Clinton, precluding her from manipulating her way into the White House.

Computer seized in Weiner probe prompts FBI to take new steps in Clinton email inquiry

By Rosalind S. Helderman, Matt Zapotosky and Sari Horwitz October 28 at 9:32 PM
Newly discovered emails found on a computer seized during an investigation of disgraced former congressman Anthony Weiner thrust the controversy over Hillary Clinton’s use of a private server back into the presidential campaign less than two weeks before the election.

Officials said the discovery prompted a surprise announcement Friday by FBI Director James B. Comey that the agency would once again be examining emails related to Clinton’s time as secretary of state.

In a letter to lawmakers, Comey said the FBI would take “appropriate investigative steps” to determine whether the newly discovered emails contain classified information and to assess whether they are relevant to the Clinton server probe.

The emails, numbering more than 1,000, were found on a computer used by both Weiner (D-N.Y.) and his wife, top Clinton aide Huma Abedin, according to law enforcement officials with knowledge of the inquiry who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

The correspondence included emails between Abedin and Clinton, according to a law enforcement official.

What you need to know about the FBI review of new Clinton emails

On Oct. 28, the FBI announced new inquiries related to Hillary Clinton’s private email server. The Fix's Aaron Blake breaks down reactions to the announcement and explains why it matters to her presidential campaign. (Sarah Parnass/The Washington Post)

Federal officials have been examining sexually suggestive online messages that Weiner allegedly exchanged with a teenage girl. The link to the Weiner investigation was first reported by the New York Times.

Comey’s announcement appears to resume the FBI’s probe of Clinton’s server, which previously ended in July with no charges.

The announcement could reshape a presidential race that Clinton, the Democratic nominee, has been leading in most public polls. It was immediately hailed by Republican nominee Donald Trump, who told supporters at a New Hampshire rally that “perhaps, finally, justice will be done.” The crowd responded with pumped fists and chants of “Lock her up! Lock her up!”

Clinton told reporters Friday night in Iowa that she learned of the newly discovered emails only after the letter to Congress was made public.

“I’m confident whatever [the emails] are will not change the conclusion reached in July,” she said. “Therefore, it’s imperative that the bureau explain this issue in question, whatever it is, without any delay.”

Asked about the connection to Weiner, Clinton said: “We’ve heard these rumors. We don’t know what to believe.”

Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta called it “extraordinary that we would see something like this just 11 days out from a presidential election.”

Officials familiar with the inquiry said it was too early to assess the significance of the newly discovered emails. It is possible, they said, that some or all of the correspondence is duplicative of the emails that were already turned over and examined by the FBI.

Comey made a similar point in his letter, sent to congressional committee chairmen, saying that the FBI “cannot yet assess whether or not this material may be significant.”

The letter, which was three paragraphs long, contained few details.

He wrote that the FBI, in connection with an “unrelated case,” had recently “learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the Clinton investigation.”

Comey wrote that he was briefed on the new material Thursday. “I agreed that the FBI should take appropriate investigative steps designed to allow investigators to review these emails to determine whether they contain classified information, as well as to assess their importance to our investigation,” he wrote.

An FBI spokesman on Friday declined to elaborate, and a spokesman for Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch declined to comment.

Comey provided no details about the unrelated case that resulted in the discovery of the new emails.

The official said that Comey, once told about the find, felt an obligation to inform Congress, since he had previously told lawmakers that the investigation had been completed.

Abedin, who has worked for Clinton since the 1990s, is vice chairman of Clinton’s presidential campaign. She exchanged thousands of emails with Clinton while serving as her deputy chief of staff at the State Department. She, like Clinton, used an email address routed through the private server.

Neither Weiner nor an attorney for Abedin responded to requests for comment.

Weiner, who represented a New York City congressional district, resigned from his House seat in 2011 after he accidentally tweeted an explicit photo of himself that he had intended to send to a supporter.

Abedin and Weiner were married in 2010, with former president Bill Clinton officiating. Abedin announced this past August that she was separating from Weiner following a report in the New York Post about another sexting incident.

The federal inquiry into Weiner’s contact with the teenager was sparked by a September report in the Daily Mail tabloid.

When Comey announced the FBI’s findings in July, he said that Clinton had been “extremely careless” in her handling of classified material, which was found among the emails exchanged on her private server.

He said then that his investigators had found evidence of potential violation of laws governing the handling of classified information.

But he said “no reasonable prosecutor” would bring charges because investigators had not found evidence that there had been intentional mishandling of classified material, or indications of disloyalty to the United States or efforts to obstruct justice.

Comey had come under enormous pressure from Republicans for his recommendation to bring no case against Clinton. Trump has repeatedly cited the decision as a sign of corruption endemic to Washington institutions and has promised that, if elected, he would reopen the investigation.

Podesta on Friday cited the political pressure on Comey in questioning the director’s actions, saying that Republicans had been “browbeating” career FBI officials “to revisit their conclusion in a desperate attempt to harm Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.”

Democrats said Friday that the lack of detail from the FBI allowed Republicans to mischaracterize its actions. Clinton campaign spokesman Brian Fallon told CNN that Comey was “unleashing a wildfire of innuendo.”

Polls show that the issue has hurt Clinton politically. A Washington Post-ABC News poll last month found that more than 6 in 10 Americans did not approve of the way Clinton had been handling questions about her email setup.

The State Department’s deputy spokesman, Mark Toner, said the FBI has not notified the department of the new emails, and he referred all questions to the bureau.

“We stand ready to cooperate if we’re asked to do so,” he told reporters. “But I don’t have any additional details at this point.”

It's been nearly a decade since many of us (including me) were wrong about Wiener. Many can probably recall that we felt Wiener was being set up by the banksters way back then because, we thought he may have been ready to expose fraud in the monetary system. Fact is, he really is a creep. In this instance I sure am satisfied that creeps walk amongst us.

I think Huma and Weiner were supposed to create some sort of half radical Muslim/half Jew Manchurian candidate for the TPTB.

Stupid people do stupid things. Does Carlos Danger really think his bug-eyed shirtless photo will turn on any women? No self-awareness whatsoever while Clinton thinks she can do whatever she pleases which is more sinister.

One comment on the NYTimes site, most of them were calling this a "witch hunt" against their goddess Hillionaire Klit.

At this initial stages, one can only make reasonable inferences. As a former Main Justice public corruption prosecutor (with the Public Integrity Section), one can reasonably infer that the emails on their face appear pertinent, as otherwise the FBI wouldn't have reopened the investigation (in other words, in DOJ speak, they provide "predication," that is, cause for reopening the investigation). In that these emails weren't produced by Clintons' team of lawyers, this calls into broad question whether Clinton's attorneys selectively produced emails and selectively disclosed information or otherwise intentionally failed to inform the FBI of limitations on their disclosure and thus committed obstruction of justice. This calls into question the thoroughness and integrity of the investigation. There is no doubt in my mind that that initial investigation was conducted in a tepid manner (as evidenced by the lack of the use of a grand jury and side agreement that were struck with Clinton's lawyers that would not have been entered into if a lower-level public official was being investigated). The FBI has a duty to the public to now conduct a vigorous and swift investigation.http://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/29/u...72E5BE9AC5943FE6673&gwt=pay#commentsContainer

I saw Judge Andrew Napolitano on TV last night. He thinks the whole Weiner Sexting, Clinton Foundation, State Department email, members of the FBI, DoJ, etc. is being rolled up into a RICO case.

My guess is they found an email from Weiner trying to peddle influence (or sell secrets) via Huma to Clinton (either/or) with some specifics on it that they just can't look the other way (and maybe it was still in the works too with corroberating evidence in HRC's emails.).

Anyway the bar is set really, really low for proving guilt in RICO cases too and it allows prosecutors to cast a very wide net (Gee! Maybe Barry gets sucked in too?) along with very liberal evidence gathering guidelines (easy to get warrants, etc.).

Personally, I think the Clinton and Obama cabals had something on Comey and now this is the way for him to break free of the chains, save his career and his pension too. I wouldn't be surprised that Comey recuses himself from the case and then is named a government witness.

Again, this is just my supposition but the way this mess has unfolded, anything is possible.

I bet Hillary is just livid at the idea of yet another out of control penis having such a negative effect on her political aspirations.

While they are at it, they might look into the election irregularities that were non-optimal for Bernie...

They probably are. It's to establish a pattern of wrong doing, part of the core of RICO prosecution. Like I said, RICO allows the prosecution to bring in non-related or semi-related cases involving the defendants to prove a pattern of behavior / conspiracy.

One can hope that there are a few, good, moral, and incorruptible people within fed.gov who could see it through.

This may be a project for private contractors with no fascist strings attached.

That relationship is a real head scratcher. A Jew married to basically an Iranian? Or am I wrong about her ethnicity? What's wrong with this picture, and why is this even happening?

Huma is of Muslim Indian descent on her father's side and Pakistani (formerly British India now Pakistan) descent on her mother's side.

These are foul creatures and how they got into respected positions of power is a head scratcher.
Ultimately speaking, they were able to get there due to the cumulative effects of the apathy and complacency exhibited towards government by most of society for many generations now.
Our so-called leaders came to take that apathy for granted, and then began to act accordingly.

They also cleverly used political correctness and social justice to manipulate the dumb voting blocs. I agree with Podesta when he said just that.

I hope Trump wins because the entire cluster fuck will be illuminated to many people who have been asleep for generations. Some will still live in denial while others might finally take the necessary steps to think for themselves. I am hoping for a new American Renaissance.
