I love "Street Dogs" wrapped in bacon with crazy toppings on them. They were born in Sonora Mexico and made their way up to Hollywood, where street venders serve them up as the sun goes down. The Junkyard Dog Burger was inspired by these over-the-top hotdogs. Enjoy!

We’re taking the chill off in the kitchen today with our Chili recipe. What’s great about chili is you can substitute any kind of meat whether is ground beef, wild game or even chunk meat. We’re giving you a great seasoning base and some ideas for your chili and from there you can customize to suit your tastes. Beans- no beans… hey I like a bean to give it an even heartier feel. So we hope you enjoy our chili recipe!

8- 10 servings

Cowboy Chili


2 pounds ground beef (wild game, chunk meat, etc.)
1 large yellow onion, chopped
2 (10 oz.) can Rotel (we used chunky), drained
1 Rotel can water
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
1 (16 oz) can kidney beans, drained (or your bean choice)
Green Chile Chipotle Relish (available https://kentrollins.com/shop-1 or 3 - 4 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, chopped or to taste
1/3 cup chile powder
½ tsp cumin
2 tsp oregano powder
2 tsp paprika or smoked paprika
2 tsp salt
3 tsp minced garlic

1. In a large pot or 12” Dutch oven brown the hamburger over medium high heat. Season with salt and pepper or seasoning of your choice, to taste. As the meat begins to brown, stir in the onions. Continue cooking until the meat has fully browned and onions are tender. If there is a lot of excess grease, drain.

2. Stir in the Rotel, water, tomato sauce, beans, chipotle peppers or relish. Stir in the seasonings. Adjust taste, if needed.

3. Cover and cook over medium-high heat until it reaches a boil. Boil a couple minutes. Reduce heat and simmer for about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4. Serve warm with cheese, onions, sour cream, etc.

In this final episode, Halaigh heads back to Oslo and starts the day with a cup of coffee at cult barista Tim Wendelboe’s cafe. Tim has long queues of coffee lovers from all over the world lining up to try his famous light-roasted brews, and Halaigh learns why coffee is considered Norway’s national drink. Refuelled on trendy brews, Halaigh joins up with his boss Esben at Maaemo, who cooks waffles and takes Halaigh on a night out on the town in Oslo. They start off at Pjoltergeist, a restaurant located in an old Hell’s Angels clubhouse, where the chefs serve some of the most progressive cooking in the Norwegian capital: from pig’s heads to cod’s tongue. Halaigh wraps up the night at Kniven, a bar dedicated to all things black metal and quality beer.

Today was an amazing day of traveling in Athens, Greece. We ate some incredibly delicious Greek food and saw some of the most famous attractions, including the Acropolis (Parthenon) in Athens.

Here’s what you’ll find in this video:

Diporto Restaurant - This is an amazing hidden gem of a restaurant serving traditional Greek food in a downstairs basement tavern. They only have a few dishes per day, and you order whatever they have - everything is delicious.
Total price - 25 EUR for everything

Souvlaki Lefteris o Politis - This is another famous souvlaki, Greek street food, hole in the wall that I was excited to try because they are known for their spicy souvlaki. It was awesomely delicious and something you shouldn't miss if you love Greek food.
Price - 1.90 EUR per piece

Plaka Neighborhood - In the afternoon, I walked around the Plaka Neighborhood for a while and also saw the National Garden.

Panathenaic Stadium - In order to fulfill my inner Olympian, I entered into the Panathenaic Stadium, walked around this amazing marble stadium, and took a victory lap. It was awesome, it’s a must see when you’re in Athens.
Entrance price - 5 EUR

Dio Dekares i Oka Restaurant - We had an early Greek food dinner at Dio Dekares i Oka Restaurant that serves home-style Greek food. The lamb with dill and celery was the highlight dish for me.
Total price - 33 EUR for everything

Acropolis of Athens - There’s no doubt that the Acropolis of Athens, which includes the Parthenon is the most famous attraction to see in Athens. It was at the center of Athens and the center of Western civilization at its peak. It’s an amazing sight to see, even though it’s high damaged. But it’s truly breathtaking to admire the columns.
Combined attractions ticket - 30 EUR

2 (15.5-ounce) cans yellow hominy, drained
1 (4-ounce) can green chilies
4 - 6 slices thick-cut bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 medium yellow onion, chopped
1 1⁄2 cups sour cream
Salt and black pepper or Red River Ranch Seasoning, to taste
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

For indoor cooking:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease an 8-x-11- inch casserole dish, 10" or 12" Dutch oven.
2. In a large bowl, combine the hominy and green chilies. Set aside.
3. Place the bacon in a medium cast iron skillet and begin cooking over medium heat. When the bacon begins to brown, add the onion and cook until the bacon is three-quarters done, about 5 minutes. Remove the skillet from the heat and spoon out and discard about half of the bacon grease.
4. Pour the contents of the skillet into the hominy mixture and stir together. Stir in the sour cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
5. Scrape the mixture into the casserole dish. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, or until the mixture is bubbly and the hominy softens slightly.
6. About 5 minutes before the casserole is finished cooking, sprinkle on the cheese and continue cooking until the cheese melts. Serve hot.

In this installment of Chef’s Night Out, we head to Copenhagen for a night on the town with the team from Cicchetti. Along with sommelier Luna and chefs Nina and Rikke we visit some of their favourite restaurants while indulging in an impressive amount of alcohol.

We start out in the kitchen at Cicchetti where Nina cooks some spinach and ricotta balls before we move on to restaurant Palægade for smørrebrød and akvavit. From there the group return to Nørrebro and restaurant Gaarden & Gaden and a sinful combination of croque madame and negroni.

After a quick pitstop at the local cemetery, the party moves on to restaurant La Buca, where an abundance of italian food and wine almost knocks out the three women before they head back to Cicchetti and fry up some italian treats for their friends and colleagues.

Heels or no heels, this was a night out to remember.
