For me currently the add-on that will break when I upgrade will be the Youtube downloader.
I found that out........... to late. However there are other downloaders for youtube that are not affected. Video DownloadHelper is one. Also, another is Video Downloader Professional.

Get AVC (any video converter) and you won't need to wait.

I use it all the time.

You drop the url into the window and it pulls it down for you. You can then convert it to anything you like.

Best of all it's FREE!

Thanks. I will keep that in mind, but I'm 99% of the time on a linux OS.
I'm 100% of the online time on a Linux machine. I do have windows on a laptop, but have it set so that it won't connect if I happen to be in windows.

hooktube.com works for me. If I want a 1080p video, I can download the mp4 file and the m4a and use ffmpeg to merge them together.
