350 mil vrs 127 mil if they hit the PPV numbers. If Conner pulls this off it could be worth even more in a rematch. So Floyd could essentially walk away with about a billion from 2 fights if he loses this one.

Mayweather is too fast and too skilled. He could counter punch all night and win a 12-0 decision.

Conner can take a pounding.
He has been on the wrong end of a ground and pound more than once.
What's so amazing about Conner is his ability to come back from a sever beating and then knock the crap out of his opponent.
And then there is the left hand of Conner.
No matter where that left hits an opponent , and they will tell you , it hurt.
One left hook to Floyd's temple is all it will take.
I think the fight will be over in Round 10......

Years ago I remember Archie Moore commenting about his bout with Rocky Marciano(sp). Archie said he hit Marciano with the best left hook he had ever thrown in his career, and Rocky just smiled. Archie then new that this fight was over at that point. And it was.

I am wondering how much the 11 years age difference will make.. Conner has also proven he can go 12 rounds and win. Obviously Floyd can do the same.
Both these guys are tough as nails. One difference I see is Conner coming from MMA where he takes punches and kicks and takes it all well and even comes back to hit like a mule afterwards. Even when Conner lost to Diaz he learned and came back and beat him.
Conner is in his prime. Floyd is winding down and although still in great shape, can he take a pounding that Conner can give him for 12 rounds?
Floyd is fast but again at 40, can he maintain that speed and power for 12 rounds? He also hasnt fought for 2 years. I think his best chance is to take out conner early on but Conner can take a beating so that wont be easy to do. Floyd is quick, powerful and accurate though so if anyone can do it he can.

Connor is like Michael Jordan... playing baseball.

If you put money on Connor winning, I have a bridge to sell you.

When you think about it, both fighters already won. Win or lose they walk away laughing to the bank.

mayweather could beat this asshole using only his jab. the shame of the irish had problems with diaz's boxing ability in their 1st fight. i can only hope connor will be horribly shamed, though i doubt his ability to feel that emotion

a great scene from a great movie. what hurt says at 1.03 minutes makes me always think of mcgregor

You guys are overlooking one thing ... this isn't a real fight. It's a show, for money. They'll make it look good.

It's all just one big payday for both fighters. They'll dance around for 3 rounds with Floyd having the upper hand the whole time. Conner will then pull an MMA stunt in the 4th or 5th (headbutt, roundhouse kick) he'll be disqualified and the sports world will have something to talk about for a week.

Both fighter walk away into retirement with 30 or 40 million with huge smiles on their faces.

I think the last unscripted boxing match I saw was when an unknown southpaw out of Philadelphia named Rocky Balboa fought Apollo Creed for the heavyweight championship back in the late 70's.

The longer the fight (show) goes, the worse it is for McGregor. Hard to call maybe. Connor could get lucky, and get a big punch in. You can't keep punching when the guy goes down though in boxing. My money would be on Floyd in 7 rounds. Connor might look like Medusa when this one is over.

30 or 40 million? McGregor is basically guaranteed 100 million, Floyd up to 300 million! Pay per view is $100.00, $110.00 for HD. They are expecting up to 50 million viewers.

Connors is {what they call in boxing parlance} A 4 ROUNDER. That's it, folks. Show is OVER starting ROUND 5.

Don't take my word for it, the greatest {in my opinion} trainer, owner of the Wildcard Gym {Freddie Roach} recently had Conner in his gym, sparring and agrees.

Roach matched his two LOWEST ranked boxers vs Big Mouth in the ring and afterwards they laughed outloud at Conner's Big Zip boxing ability, "We could cut this guy down in two rounds."

Listen to it from A PRO,

There'ssssssss FREDDIE. Maybe the only honest guy left in Boxing.

whatever....

That shows you how much I'm into it. I'm from Chicago, if I wanna see a good brawl I'll just walk down to 59th and Michigan and throw a dollar bill on the ground.

Floyd needs all that money, doesn't he owe the IRS like 20 million which is why he agreed to "fight" in the first place?

Floyd has went too far. I heard him say he would fight Connor in the octagon.

Floyd must not understand UFC ain't boxing.

I have no doubt Floyd is gonna prolly win a boxing match with him, but I think he would get F'd up in the octagon.

Floyd has the first dollar he ever made. Dude has hundreds of millions in cash in the bank, literally! This fight will put him over a billion dollars. He hasn't pissed away his money like most Boxers do. Saw a video of him after his fight with Pacquiao. He was depositing millions of dollars in cash at a bank in Vegas, after the fight. It wasn't his fight purse, it was the money he won by betting on himself! Just saw a commercial on tv for the fight. They have lowered the pay per view fee by 10 bucks. Smart. They want as many viewers as possible. Like Hotels.com or something. A room rented for less, is better than an empty room.

I would give Floyd about 20 seconds before he gets knocked out if it were an MMA fight.

I've seen a lot of mayweather fights and the guy never gets hit. In his entire career he has probably been hit hard less than a dozen times. He's quick and he's a smart boxer. I think Conner assumes he will be able to hit the guy and if he does then he has a chance but if Mayweather can continue to avoid the hits he has this in the bag. Easy 300 mil plus..

For sure. McGregor has to chase him down quickly, and try to smother him up against the ropes. Barrage of punches. Only chance he has really. Tyson's specialty was the phone booth uppercut. A devastating punch when done properly.

I agree.. He can take a pounding so he needs to find out if Mayweather can as well. At 40 years old mayweather probably hits like a girl now anyway LMAO!!.

That is his only option and it's a suicide tactic given his skill level.

A world retired champion undefeated professional boxer vs an amateure boxer. This whole thing is lol.

The odds are interesting. Certainly pointing to a floyd win but they seem to be giving Conner some credit as well. Conner started at +900 and is only +325 now.. So 100 bet wins 325. you would think they would bump that up to +900 or even +1200 for conner to get some money flow over that way. Mayweather I think is -450 now. so you have to put up 450 to win 100.

actually "the professor" dropped rocky hard in the second. he feels he was robbed. of any fighter i could ever meet, moore would have been my choice

No wonder boxing viewership has fallen so much, and MMA is just the opposite. Boxing is boxing. MMA is Fighting. Most people want to see a fight, brawl, beat down. At least something that leaves no questions when it's over. I've seen plenty of boring MMA matches, but nowhere near the amount of boxing matches that were yawners.

Mayweather is an A level athlete.

Conner is F level at best.

Money would dominate the UFC with 2 days grappling prep time.

It's incredible what a bottom feeder "sport" the ufc is. I can't even take it seriously. At least MMA had entertainment value, like a decade or more ago, but now even that's gone with the watered down product they're putting out. Sad.

Conner is in better shape than most of the boxers that Mayweather fought. Pacquiao kicked Mayweathers ass, it was pretty clear. If Conner goes after him like Pacquiao did he has a chance. Conner is bigger and stronger than Manny.

You guys are going to be so disappointed. I bet half of you stayed up late to watch that Olympic swimmer race a shark.

The only thing on tv that the law says has to be legit are gameshows. Everything else can and is scripted ...(NBA and storage wars I'm looking at you). This has the potential to be a remake of that classic overhyped pay per view event 20 years ago where Don King hyped up some white guy to fight Tyson and 20 seconds into the first round (and $75 ppv charge) the white guy takes a fall the moment Tyson threw a punch (that didn't even connect).

As soon as the bell rings both fighters are officially paid. This isn't going to be a battle of guts and stamina like the first Balboa vs Creed fight I saw in Philly.

It's fake if....

Floyds people bet millions on Connor, Floyd loses on purpose... and then the EPIC PPV REMATCH!!!

Video surfaces of Connor making a racial slur, and Floyd beats his wife or something...

They will make even more millions!!!
