Fight starts at about 6:50 in.. You can get a good look at the power of that left that Conner has.
If Floyd decides to fight him and not run around like a little girl then we can finally get a look at what Mayweather can take. At 40 years old though he should probably stick to the running around and trying to avoid getting hit.

It's fake if....

Floyds people bet millions on Connor, Floyd loses on purpose... and then the EPIC PPV REMATCH!!!

Video surfaces of Connor making a racial slur, and Floyd beats his wife or something...

They will make even more millions!!!
Rematch would be worth 350 for both of them.. They are estimating that PPV numbers will be around 50 mil.. Thats 5 bil just in PPV money for showtime. You can bet they would love to see this run twice. :).

This is also huge money for a UFC fighter. UFC you take a beating and get paid shit. If Conner can make a good showing here he can leave the UFC behind and make some serious cash. I'd get in the ring with either of them for 25 mil. Wouldn't be much of a fight though. :fighting:

Thank you for that link mispillion. I really respected Archie a lot, a good man also quite unlike the others in the boxing game in that era. I was rooting hard for him against Sugar Ray, but like what was said in the article, Sugar Ray was too fast, and Archie a bit too old. Again thanks.

Mayweather is a real asshole. lol
from wiki-
Mayweather was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on February 24, 1977, into a family of boxers. His father, Floyd Mayweather Sr., was a former welterweight contender who fought Hall of Famer Sugar Ray Leonard. His uncles (Jeff Mayweather and Roger Mayweather) were professional boxers, with Roger – Floyd's former trainer – winning two world championships, fought Hall of Famers Julio César Chávez, Pernell Whitaker and Kostya Tszyu. Mayweather was born with his mother's last name,[22] but his last name would change to Mayweather shortly thereafter. Mayweather attended Ottawa Hills High School before he dropped out.

Boxing has been a part of Mayweather's life since his childhood and he never seriously considered any other profession. "I think my grandmother saw my potential first," Mayweather said. "When I was young, I told her 'I think I should get a job.' She said, 'No, just keep boxing'."[23] "When I was about eight or nine, I lived in New Jersey with my mother and we were seven deep in one bedroom and sometimes we didn't have electricity." Mayweather said. "When people see what I have now, they have no idea of where I came from and how I didn't have anything growing up."

It was not uncommon for young Mayweather to come home from school and find used heroin needles in his front yard.[24] His mother was addicted to drugs, and he had an aunt who died from AIDS because of her drug use. "People don't know the hell I've been through," he says.

The most time that his father spent with him was taking him to the gym to train and work on his boxing, according to Mayweather. "I don't remember him ever taking me anywhere or doing anything that a father would do with a son, going to the park or to the movies or to get ice cream," he says. "I always thought that he liked his daughter (Floyd's older sister) better than he liked me because she never got whippings and I got whippings all the time."

Mayweather's father contends that Floyd is not telling the truth about their early relationship. "Even though his daddy did sell drugs, I didn't deprive my son," the elder Mayweather says. "The drugs I sold, he was a part of it. He had plenty of food. He had the best clothes and I gave him money. He didn't want for anything. Anybody in Grand Rapids can tell you that I took care of my kids".[25] Floyd Sr. says he did all of his hustling at night and spent his days with his son, taking him to the gym and training him to be a boxer. "If it wasn't for me he wouldn't be where he is today," he maintains.

"I basically raised myself," Mayweather says. "My grandmother did what she could. When she got mad at me I'd go to my mom's house. My life was ups and downs." His father says he knows how much pain his incarceration caused his son, but insists he did the best he could. "I sent him to live with his grandmother," he says. "It wasn't like I left him with strangers."

In the absence of his father, boxing became an outlet for Mayweather.[25] As the elder Mayweather served his time, his son – with speed and an uncanny ring sense – put all his energies into boxing and dropped out of high school. "I knew that I was going to have to try to take care of my mom and I made the decision that school wasn't that important at the time and I was going to have to box to earn a living," Mayweather says.[

I don't think mcgregor would be in this position if he weren't a douche bag. This event is a reflection of our society.

It works great for him financially, but man, being a douchebag isn't what MMA is about, its the opposite.

This must drive Dana White insane. He has no control over this crap. Not sure if he has a piece of McGregor or not. Dana bought the UFC for a million or two, and it's worth a thousand times that now. More fighters are going to try this, after seeing how much money Floyd makes. This thing has the possibility of changing all kinds of sports. I guess we are headed to a place similar to Rome. Gladiator fights. Bring on the Lions, and the chariots with razors on the wheels.

There's an interesting article online, about Mayweather, and HBO. Alot of this is Floyd putting the screws to HBO, for ripping him off early in his career. This fight has overshadowed a coupl of HBO's marquis matchups, in a few weeks. He cut this deal with Showtime to rub salt in the wound.

post 41, 8 minutes in and you can see what that left of Conners can do. Alvarez was world champion and didn't stand a chance against that left. That thing is lightning fast. Conner also prefers to punch in the UFC. He has good counters against the wrestling but he prefers to hit hard with that left. Probably because of his reach advantage too so I dont see boxing as being a tough transition for him. That cartoon is a pretty accurate description of how this could go down. I'm pretty sure Floyd doesn't want to exchange blows with Conner. Conner has to go after him the way Pacquiao did and if he does then this is over in less than 6 rounds. If he doesn't than he's just going to be chasing him around the ring all night. My money is going on Conner tonight.

I've seen a lot of mayweather fights and the guy never gets hit. In his entire career he has probably been hit hard less than a dozen times. He's quick and he's a smart boxer. I think Conner assumes he will be able to hit the guy and if he does then he has a chance but if Mayweather can continue to avoid the hits he has this in the bag. Easy 300 mil plus..
Floyd is smart, first and foremost. All about defense. I actually found someone willing to bet on Conor, so I will be watching live. The looser is the pay per view crowd, if you don't have money on it.

Floyd protects his head with his gloves and his body with his quick elbows and his booty with Jewish Bankers.

Can't touch this.....

HAMMER TIME.

Keef's pic: Yeah, Conor will look promising first few rounds? Just to make Floyd looks even BETTER when he drops de hammer. Both fighters laugh all the way to the ATM.

Those not giving Conner a chance aren't considering his power

Maywether asked for 8 oz gloves to be macho.

Ok he's faster but Conner only has to hit him once. Conner has the power - we'll see

I'd like see Conner fake some takedowns elbows and leg kicks just to out the thought in Fkoyds head.

I stand corrected. They state that Dana was a business partner of Lorenzo and Frank, and owned 9% of the UFC. He has been president of the organization for quite awhile, and I would imagine the Architect of the company's sucess. 9% of a 4 billion dollar sale price is not bad at all. New owners kept him on as President, which was a smart move. Big egos can ruin any business in short order.

That's it! "We who about to DIE salute you!" This comic book stuff gets old fast.

Only one contender gets paid. Just ONE. The other? In Valhalla he can collect his purse. :alien3:

If this doesnt go conners way I hope he kicks Floyd in the head and knocks him out. LOL. Although I think someone posted that if he does that he loses 90% of his payday..
So other than 8 oz gloves are there any other modifications to this fight to accomodate Conner?

Dana was a jazzerboxing/dance workout "gym" owner and the Paul Bearer of mma (tito/chuck manager, they made crumbs back then). No way he could afford to buy the UFC. He heard it was up for sale and presented the opportunity to the Fertittas. Right place, right time, right friends.

That piece of shit has made more money off the UFC than every fighter in it's history combined. ....

and people wonder why they're still attracting peasant level athletes to the "sport"

Ill give Dana some credit for the innovations. He recognized they'd never go big without state athletic sanction and that meant adding a few reasonable rules

Then his deal with Spike Tv brought them into the big leagues

You grow it and it's you who grows wealthy

This stupid debate has been going on since the glory days of MMA......finally put an end to it tonight......this was K1, but too bad tyson never stepped in against one of them lol

Mike Tyson actually signed a contract with Pride Fighting Championships with plans for a "world tour" featuring the former boxing champ in boxing rules bouts against Fedor Emelianenko and Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic.

I'm not even sure if Floyd trained. In those all access vids, mayweather was doing nothing but jet setting, hanging in strip clubs, roller skating etc, while caner was grinding his ass off in every clip.

Doesn't take a brain surgeon to know he was going to gas in 2 seconds. Floyd just toyed with him like a child and let him punch himself out.

Only problem with that theory is Conner won the first three rounds and started to slow after the 4th round and yet Floyd could only get the win in the 10th round. ... I would have also given the eighth round to McGregor!

It was not as lopsided as you claim!

Yea I guess Conner was looking kinda tired by rnd 5. Threw a lot of wasted punches early on.. Floyd did look good for 40.

Floyd had to walk away from one fight because of the juicing rules. MMA is very strict on the juicing.

Can won rounds because that was Floyd's plan. He threw 3 punches round one
