Great video. Big business and big gov't don't like transparency - they would rather everything they do be kept a secret.
Still, I think they're over-doing the "smell" thing. Yes, it does smell really bad through many stretches of the central valley, but it's nothing like the smells you will find in the nation's heartland and Midwest. Try driving through Amarillo area, even putting the AC on recycle won't help you there.
The wife and I were driving through the Mohave on our California trip some years ago and were amazed to pass a number of large dairies out in the desert. All the food and water was trucked in. What an insane way to run cattle. Oh by the way, to a farmer, manure is the smell of money.
2day I wiffed by a dairy farm and some one bitched about the smell...and, of course I stated that bygollie that's fresh milk being made....AND, of course not to be out done...ahahah...the other stated..."Smells like fresh Icecream to me."
