Here are some street self defense variations to the traditional Muay Thai clinch. Some leagues actually allow headbutts, and you can see in the video by @kingleduc how effective they can be. Additionally, eye gauging, head control, elbows, and knees are all viable options in a self defense scenario.

I had the honor of training and filming with Faze Sensei, where we did a bit of light sparring (modified, as I'm healing from a broken rib). In this video, we talk about a specific fight strategy that works great for Muay Thai: "the probe". Your probes are your jab, lead teep, and lead leg kick, which are safe strikes to keep your distance, look for opening, and figure out patterns in your opponent's game.

Mexico is an emerging player in world judo and after successfully hosting the world masters last year in Guadalajara, the nation eagerly awaited judo's return to its shores for the penultimate event before 2017s show piece, the Suzuki world judo championships in Budapest.

There were many new names and young up and comers on show and we'll see how all of them got on as well as seeing some familiar faces doing their thing.

We'll bring you Hashimoto Soichi's thoughts ahead of his first world championship appearance this year.

And we'll see if Luz Olvera could become Mexico's FIRST world judo tour gold medallist.

In this video I discuss some unique aspects of 'old time strongman' training and discuss the different methods that guys like Arthur Saxon, Eugen Sandow and Maxick would use to develop incredible strength. These guys could perform feats such as pulling cars using just their teeth, lifting immense amounts of weight with single fingers, driving nails into wood with their hands and much more.
I look at a few principles in particular:

* Overcoming isometrics/static contraction
* Unusual lifts (bent press, side press, anyhow lift)
* Progressive overload
* Grip training
* Muscle control
