Buying paydirt to practice Gold panning is big business, unfortunately 99% of the time the amount of raw Gold you get in your paydirt is pretty dam dismal.
Not anymore! Dave @ Goldbay is sick of the ripoff sellers too so he started Goldbay in 1999. You are buying Gold at damn near spot price with some dirt added.

Paydirt for sale - Selling paydirt online since 1999.

Goldbay has had paydirt for sale online since 1999 and we are one of the first online companies to do so. We have hundreds of 5 star reviews on Google and ALL PURCHASES are 100% money back guarantee (including shipping). Our paydirt comes in a variety of sizes and varieties of gold added.

I bought a 1 gram build a bag and added 1 more gram to it. Total cost was approx $4 over melt per gram plus shipping.

https://www.goldbay.com/paydirt-store/1-gram-Build-a-Bag-Chunky-paydirt-Approx-3lbs-p97476911

Now I can practice panning over a plastic bin and never lose anything, I can pan it over and over as often as I want, and I can add the Gold to stream gravel from my area and get used to panning in my own local conditions.

When you are done playing with it it's still 2 grams of Gold you can sell.

My bag will be here Saturday! . .

Good question, I think it will depend on how chunky it is. They won't hit on flour Gold.

Should hit on it. If it can detect a nugget in the ground it will detect in a pan.

I did some panning years ago and got the technique down pretty well. Just never found much gold to pan out. All the claims had been worked over pretty heavy.

I don't do the facebook thing.

I panned for gold at Knots Berry Farm in Cali back in '67. I found some. Fun.

Got it Saturday right on time! He gave me a cool sticker to put on my toolbox too. I have like zero free time right now so I'm thinking I might buy a few of these bags here and there and then break out the tub and pan them out in the winter when there's nothing else to do.

Pretty cool and totally risk free. You can buy some fun and you'll get all your money back if you decide to sell the raw Gold.

I can finally answer this one Inigma. No they charge 24k Gold price because you can re sell natural placer Gold for full 24k price.
Natural placer Gold along with nuggets, pickers and specimen Gold especially crystal Gold sells for well over spot.
Big crystal Gold specimens sell for a huge money!

Check out this video, this is Dave the owner of Goldbay showing Shane from kleshguitars on youtube a fortune in crystal Gold specimens.
This video makes my eyes hurt! . . .

I just ordered a 3 gram bag of less than spot paydirt from Goldbay and added one gram to it. I made that 2 gram bag I bought last a couple weekends and was sad when it was all panned out. I find Gold panning at home fun and relaxing, I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would!

You pan over a tub so there's no chance of losing any Gold, and you're getting natural placer Gold so it's not like you're losing any money.

Aaaand my wife thinks I'm crazy so hell that's worth it right there.

Bonus Gold Porn!! Shane pans out the $5000 Goldbay ...... ... .. .. ..

Well ya gotta admit that hearing of a grown man buying a naturally occurring element over the internet only to then repeatedly mimic to the detail his finding it out in nature...... does have a slightly odd tone to it.:mining:

On the plus side, No sore back from working the equipment or flat tires from bouncing off the rocks to get out to the claim.

I do pan the creeks here, Michigan has glacial deposit Gold but it's pretty hard to find. Also the DNR says panning in trout streams is illegal and every trickle of water around here has trout in it so you have to be sneaky. But I do try. It is fun to practice and now I know that if I do find a small Gold deposit I'll actually be able to find the Gold. Panning isn't too hard but you can miss flour Gold if you do it wrong. Flour Gold is all there is here.

We all need practice I guess.
We have friends out west and next time we go out there I plan on hitting a couple of the open panning areas in Colorado.

I just got a 3 pound bag with 4 grams of less than spot Gold in it, and Dave sent me a 5% off code as a reply.
So I went back and got 2 - 3 pound bags with 2 grams of chunky Gold in each!

Working 7 days a week lately so it will be a while before I can enjoy panning it.

Premium placer Gold @ less than spot. Life is good!

Where I live I can only dream of sluicing or panning, and the time, but instead collected some nice river nuggets from out west that came out of the same hole. I'd like to immigrate to a foreign country that is rich in minerals like gold, and just retire into the never doing some kind of mining job.

Gold Porn! I panned out Goldbay's 10 gram chunky paydirt bag and it was frickin' awesome! Big Gold in every pan!
This is more fun than buying coins! . . . :finished:

So far I am 2/3 of the way to getting an oz of placer Gold, but I think I'll keep getting more. This is fun.

https://www.goldbay.com/product/10-grams-gold-chunky-paydirt-5-lbs/

The orange bucket in picture 2 and 3 is where I pour off muddy water. I like to keep my panning water clear so I can see what I'm doing. I'm getting much better at getting the tiny fly poop size flour Gold separated from the black sand. I use an 11 inch Gold Catcher pan I got from the GPAA, it's the perfect size for tub panning. Last 2 pictures is total so far and Bungaman makes an appearance.

chunky paydirt bag
After you placed your order, how long did shipping take? I ordered a couple of those almost two weeks ago, but hadn't received them yet.

Also, in your opinion is panning this stuff something a child could learn to do?

That is really odd about the shipping, I get a shipping confirmation/tracking # within 1 day and have my paydirt in 4 days. If I bought one right now it would be in my mailbox Thursday. I would call Dave with your order number and see what happened, the guy is a man of his word.

As for children panning paydirt from what I have read in the reviews they love it. Lots of folks pan paydirt as a family activity.
And you're panning over a tub so it's stress free.

Ok, that's what I'll do, give him a call.

That's good to know, as I bought them for a couple of 6 year olds I know. So I gotta try to teach 'em how to do it, and I've never even done it myself either, so it'll be a learning experience for all of us. Lol
Also, one of 'em says he wants a metal detector for Christmas. Lol

As long as you are using Gold pans with the riffles on the sides it's pretty easy to learn how to pan. Even tiny specks of Gold are heavy and want to stay in the pan. Separating the Gold from the black sand is the real challenge.

One of the better looking troy ounces of gold that I recall seeing in a good while.
Easy to sell too. I asked my coin guy if he'd buy placer Gold and he said he'll buy it all day long as long as it's pretty, clean and real. Apparently there is fake placer Gold out there, crooks making nuggets out of melted jewelry.

He said it sells pretty quickly by the 1/4, 1/2 or full gram for spot plus. Makes sense, you come in with some $$ but don't have $200 for a 1/10 coin.
You can buy a gram or 2 of placer in a tiny zip lock baggie.

So it's gotten to the point where we're hiding our own Easter eggs?
There's a market for this?

I hereby offer up a jar of my loose change. I've placed a certain amount of Wheaties in there.
Good luck.

Huge market, I was surprised until I gave it a try. I't a fun hobby that pays you back very well.

Keep your loose change unless it has Gold coins in it, thanks anyway.

Did you notice nobody pans for silver? Wonder why that is?
