As scofield posted in his thread "been waiting a long time for this", gold stocks are low right now.
Actually, commodity stocks in general are at lows right now.
Also, it's the end of the year and mutual funds and other big money are exiting positions; so I think Q1 of 2015 will see stocks climb back up a bit as Jan/Feb is when money managers start putting money back to work again.

I have my eye on several miners and drillers such as BHP and SDRL.

Any other good companies in the commodity sector (oil & gas, or miners) that y'all like?

FWIW, my general rule is when a commodity is "on sale" when priced for under 1/3 to 1/4 of all time highs.

Anything under 1/2 all time highs and you won't stand to lose much.

As for gold stocks? Not entirely certain but given the additional leverage involved in these instruments it can be
difficult to discern fair valuations.
