Perhaps I'm just paranoid but more than $400 below spot, .... if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
No thanks.
Given the seller feedback (or rather lack thereof) and the location, it probably doesn't matter what the price is. You will most likely just be extending a loan that eBay will eventually return.

Agreed, not worth my time and trouble. Good luck to the eventual buyer

Yikes, someone bought it! Oh and this is not the first sale this seller has booked. But is there any actual product behind all of the sales? Who knows... but if I were to guess...

1957-1967 Mexican Pesos each contain .0514 oz of Silver minted on .100 fine Silver planchets.
750 X .0514 = 38.55 total ounces
38.55 X 17.71 = 683.11 melt value

161 year old gold at close to spot! Awesome.
Yeah if you have the time to cherry-pick deals on eBay you can still get stuff, although I do have to thank bmac for the suggestion of looking into foreign gold. I typically only buy slabbed stuff, ideally during the eBay bucks promo, luckily they don't charge tax at least in my state on coins and paper money category

You certainly can but it's very hard at the moment. (You did great on that 20 Franc piece by the way.) I read that right now dealers are having issues getting new product with US Mint, RCM shut down and with supply from Europe suspended. And yet their sales are really strong. So that leads to high premiums. In looking at eBay over the course of last week, I'd say that gold coins are selling for $1600-1650 per ounce; higher when it comes to fractionals, small bars, etc. Silver prices are actually higher now than last time I made an eBay purchase. I bought some 90% from a relatively small seller for 12x face early in the month. Came back to him and he said that his stuff has been selling for 13-14.5x as of late. I saw that with other listings too. Silver Eagles and other bullion is going for $19-22 per ounce easily. Really interesting times.

Way back in the day, shortly after I first joined the forum, I made one of my first gold purchases. It was a 1987 commemorative set from the US Mint. Very common, not very popular anymore. But a nice set from my point of view. Easy to recognize/identify which is a nice bonus.

Anyway, I got the BU set that time for $449 shipped. Somehow never got around to purchasing the proof flavor... until last week! Paid under melt ($380 shipped) for it which was really nice. So now I got them both... sort of came full circle. :)

P.S. The proof set I received came with a copy of a 1987 NY Times article announcing the pre-sale of these sets! The proof set (two coins) was priced at $220 and the uncirculated set was priced at $217! (PoG was between $400 and $500 per ozt in 1987 so quite the premium!)

You have to wonder why they bother to post ......you have to assume they have some level of success?
Well, it's free to post up to 50 listings even if you are an eBay nobody (like me and most users)... and based on his feedback... success has been very limited. :) Probably thinking, "there will be that one unique buyer that will buy from me, a unique seller!" :)

A 1 oz gold bar for $250 plus a nominal shipping fee of $1250.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/274360856791
As a special bonus, this is going to come to you in a gold plated format as opposed to the useless archaic .9999 fine gold type!
As has been mentioned numerous times by members of this forum and elsewhere, Perth Mint bars have so many counterfeits, esp. the 1 oz bars. Really sad. :(
Not long ago I purchased a fake bar from a reputable seller. The refund is in progress but while I had suspicion, I needed an XRF machine to validate them. It was a pretty good looking item overall.

So the Shipping Charges do not have to be refunded ? So the seller is only on the hook for $250.00 ?
