I don't love the design, but I stacked some...that have shipped. Going boating next Wednesday and taking them with...sure hope nothing happens to them...

Absolutely hideous compared to this beauty, particularly considering the obverse...the queen...yuck. The Austrian mint has the best designs across their product lines imo.

For silver, I think the Kruggerand @ provident is probably the best deal around.

Provident has also rand gold bars for 60 over spot.

Is this ummm...a deal? Seems they put the decimal in the wrong place.

1614626629886.png

Even says in the description:
Consists of One Troy ounce of actual gold content.
Really? You mean it's not 3% silver and 5.33% copper? ...like usual? WOW. ...and all for only TEN TIMES the price of a 1oz gold coin from other mints.

At that price, I'd hope to be shipped an ounce of electrum plated rhodium. They can keep their privy and mint marks.

An interesting email from eBay. No more eBucks for me since I no longer get any bonus eBuck offers any more. Perhaps its because I sent PayPal packing last week. I felt like I just took a huge dump once PP was kicked to the curb.

Hello shootist,
Thank you for being a Bucks member, and a valuable part of our eBay community. We’re reaching out to tell you about upcoming changes to the eBay Bucks program.
After careful consideration, we’ve decided to retire the 1% earnings reward on everyday purchases starting April 1st, 2021. The good news is, you will continue to receive bonus Bucks offers, so you can keep earning.
And, beginning April 1st, the Bucks you earn will have a 12-month redemption window, so there’s even more time to score those big savings.

We’re working to create more valuable benefits and evolve the Bucks program. As a valued member, you’ll be the first to hear of new rewards in the future.
Sincerely,
The eBay Bucks Team

Yeah, some asshole stacked them all while the bankster dickheads put them on sale. ...sorry? I did tell y'all though.

1615135557076.png

The JMB deal is the best around for those stacking < 20 at a time. For those stacking in quantity, the best deal I've found currently is over at SDB.

https://sdbullion.com/2021-1-oz-austrian-silver-philharmonic-coin-bu

Wait times for shipment at SDB are longer than the JMB companies. Likely because they have better prices. Fair warning, but they do eventually get them out the door. My oldest orders currently at SDB were from 2/25 and shipped on Friday. Silver.com shipped two days after I ordered. Likely because they've very little to sell and seem to be caught up.

JMB just swapped out their "sale" on 2020 silver eagles @ 8.99? over spot for 2021 maples @ 6.49 over spot.

https://www.jmbullion.com/2021-1-oz-canadian-silver-maple-leaf-coin/

Personally, I still like 2021 phillys @ 4.99 over in volume at SDB better, but that's just me. I tend to favor coins without the nasty queen's mug on them. Only stacking the Britannia in quantity when deals can be had...cuz damn...at least one side is stunningly gorgeous.

The 2016 Silverback tubes were supposed to be live for another week if not more. Went OOS yesterday. Don't know if sold out or just got replaced with the 2018 tubes. The 2017 promo I didn't even know about. These are pretty cool bullion coins.

Noted as a public service: Scottsdale's Silverbacks are $2 a coin cheaper than these Maples but the Maple will likely show up weeks before the Silverbacks do

so, with 'dropping premiums':

it appears things are 'slowing down' to the point they have to drop their profits to keep the product moving

considering last month there wasn't much available for less than $35, $31 seems like a discount

on a major mint's products to boot

i won't be buying any...

They're just adjusting their price gouging to increase volume

Scottsdales is an actual mint right? Can't they simply mint more new 2016 coins, offer them up for sale and claim they found them stashed away in a closet? Who would know? Getting porked up the bum has become the norm for most vendors these days. As long as each coin is an ounce of silver who will care if they're authentic or not

there are a few mints that have actually done this

Mexico re-issued their circulating Peso, iirc, with old dates on them

One of the Southern Islands Aus or NZ have reissued older series bullion coins with the original dates

Yes, these Congo coins are minted by Scottsdale. I don't think that restriking old stuff would be all that profitable comparing to making 2021-dated or 2022-dated coinage. Collectors want fresh goodies so I imagine that they are running on all cylinders trying to pump out the hottest new thing. Heck, they probably have that Silverback equipment tied up in striking 2021 or 2022 coins as we speak. :)

The code must have a strike price of spot at $25+ or else it won't work. :)

Makes sense seeing what newspapers have been engaged in for the last 20 years. I trust all media as far as I trust the government

Geez I have thrown silver out my window that is better than they want $5 over spot for.
