Weatherman said yesterday we were to receive between 1.5 and 3 inch's of rain overnight and today. We got a 1/10th. Like Coop I is so dry you can see a cow fart.

Had some kind of a windy, rainy "stormburst" or sumpin'... Went out to get the paper, and the flag light is shining in the swale, juuust out of the water.

The flagpole was slightly bent, but of the 3 lag bolts that held the brace on -- only one was still in place, although it was bent right over.

Couldn't fix it right away because a duck-drowner was coming down.

Holy hot damb. Started sprinkling type rain at 11 last night and the gauge says we have just over 1 inch right now. I'm betting there is a lot of farm women getting lucky this morning. I swear the grass grew an inch over night too.

What would be your optimum compatible climate?

In Puerto Montt, the summers are comfortable and partly cloudy and the winters are cold, wet, and mostly cloudy. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 39°F to 68°F and is rarely below 29°F or above 75°F.

To balance out all of those high temp reports, last night in central Oregon our garden crops were killed by freezing. Time for the SECOND replanting.

both sides of the superstorm sandyish (not a hurricane), east/west, reporting hot misery

any amateur weather geeks care to venture a guess why both sides of the superstorm cristobal are getting grilled/boiled?

I just know all the bad words like Pendejo

this is getting on my nerves

TodayShowers, mainly before 5pm. High near 56. Strong and damaging winds, with a north wind 40 to 45 mph increasing to 50 to 55 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 75 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

70-80 mph winds...a fecking prairiecane , category 1

We are in the middle and getting rain all day. It has been hot lately but not like is normal. The corn has been in for a month but it just isn't growing like normal, at least from an amateur perspective. The west looks very cool.

This all has to do with the solar cycle. This is causing the jet streams to weaken. Therefore you get "stuck" with whatever weather for long periods of time.

Expected to get 1 to 2 inches of rain here today. Gardens should be happy if it doesn't come too fast. Plants love real rain.

Was 91 for a high yesterday.
Now @ 92 and not even noon yet.
Supposed to rain later or tomorrow. We'll see!
I filled my water buckets I keep by my fig plants.
Sure sign for a goose drowner soon to come.
Chickens sure drink a lot of water, it gets hot like this.

If ya all do not here from me for awhile it’s cause I’ve found some composition 4 and I’ve nuked the place

DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

A High Wind Warning is in effect for the Tri-State area through 8 PM
MDT (9 PM CDT). Northwest winds of 35 to 55 mph with hurricane force
wind gusts of 75 to 80 mph are expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...

A return to hot, dry, and windy conditions is likely for Friday
through Sunday. Hazardous fire weather conditions are possible
each day across eastern Colorado, perhaps extending east across the
Kansas border.

Dang! and I thought it was bad here yesterday at 97 degrees and ~35 MPH winds. Wishing you calmer wind and a slow soaking rain (doubt any quick rains would soak in much at all there).

That lack of water has got to be brutal for you guys out west. Don't be flicked your roaches out the window.
Beautiful morning here. watered everything really well.. I figured this was going to be a good gardening year. Just felt like it back in May.
90's here today. but then we back off to more perfect gardening weather. Cool nights and warm days. Perfect for me too since I like to get shit done in the morning when it's cool then nap in the afternoon when it's hot. Except for today. Power washing the deck today and trying get that stained before fathers day.

I'm in the tail of the smaller spiral on the right. Back to muggy after a great day yesterday, 86 F but windy and sporadic spit showers. Just enough to get you wet, quits, dry out, and get rained on again. That makes me miserable so I'm headed to the barn to be cooler and dry.

Perfect weather here. Sunny, mid 70's during the day, cools off at night. Not night time skinny dipping weather though. Did have to run ac yesterday just to break the humidity after the rain.
