Great stuff man! You are certainly living the life. You must have one hell of a personality, getting a good looking wife like you have for as ugly as you are.

:2 thumbs up:

So cold out tonight I'm thinking of bringing the fire in to warm it up.

You guys who have never had your wheels freeze up are missing the good life. LOL

I am not a sadist, but giving you an opportunity to feel warm vicariously. The water is warm enough to go swimming. It's not chilly, but the wind at night feels cooler than the posted 74* while standing in the ocean.

The warmest it's ever been.

In 130 years of record keeping. How many millennia has Earf been Earf?

Records are always shifting. Land masses shift, thermal currents shift; the Sun changes in intensity and with its cycles. Greenland isn't green...now. It's frozen. But when named, it was green. Vintner's grapes were grown outside Londinium.

Then came the Fall of Rome...and Global Cooling. Co-winky-dink? Perhaps not.

So, I won't get panicked. I grew up in the 1960s and 1970s...the late 1960s were HOT. Triple-digit temperatures in Cleveland....which helped make air-conditioning of private homes a reality. We had, in the Great Lakes, about seven years of minimal winter snow. Since the area is not dependent on melting snowpack for water, it wasn't a crisis - only disconcerting. Plenty of rain to make up for it.

But winter-sports suffered. Snowmobiles had just become a novelty consumer purchase - and they sat in garages. Ski slope operators in New York State were going bust. Deer seasons were harder, because there was little snow to track deer with.

That ended, as these things do, sometimes, dramatically - the Blizzard of 1977. Marking the start of ten years of much-more typical winters.

We were told by the great weather guesstimater's that we would have a white Christmas. They said 97% sure.
For today it was 86% for sure.
We got zero snow yesterday & a foot this morning.

But they know FER SURE that we're all gonna die of Glow Bull Warming...and that trading Carbon Credits with AlGore's clearing house...AND denying you natural gas, gasoline, fuel oil, a warm house, air conditioning or meat...is gonna prevent that Glow Bull Warming.

12 degrees ATM, going to get cold tonight. Last I checked around noon there was 22" of snow on the back deck. Power has been off and on through out the last 2 days (filled the tub full of water just in case). Two snow plows went in the ditch about 5 miles east of my place. Venomous spewing guard ducks aren't very happy about it. Jesse, the ever shedding couch dweller, has put a hold on her squirrel chasing activities for the time being.

Cause they can walk on water??? It does leave them pretty susceptible to predators though.

Nice place

Weather wise it is fine. I moved down here to get away from the Libs in NJ only to find myself in a similar situation.

"They" lied again. It is warmer today than when I posted about what the temps were to do today. It's only -17F out side with no wind, feels almost balmy.

The temperature is never the same and will not be until we all live under glass domes.

When temperatures were warmer in the 19th century there was no Climate Change religion. They simply called it summer.

Mother f****r it's cool out now at -43F . Can cool a drink in a minute and freeze it in two. Times like this that I love the wood stove I put in when we built the house and am kinda/sorta glad we gathered wood again this year.

So -43F is what it takes for you to feel cold?

Makes my skin burn when I go outside to urinate in my shorts it does. When I was a younger man it was just a reason to work a mite harder but now it is a reason to enjoy a fire and a plump lady.

All week, ain't been above freezing except for a few hours. Just enough to make the roads slick.
I know it snows and freezes other places too, but people around here are special type of lunatic when it comes to driving in the snow.

You have to have experience to drive in the snow. Recent experience - the first snowfall, anywhere, is wild. But where there's a real winter, drivers re-learn fast, and life goes on.

You need experience, patience, maturity, to apply the necessary caution to drive through snow. And all of those things, most Seattle residents do not have.

What you do is eat one duck and the rest will clear that pond in no time

At -43 you don't feel cold. You just feel dead

Read this response to the missus and she laughed fair hard and said,"Has he ever felt alive?"
-43 just makes ya clean an elk a mite faster than 0. Can't think of much I ain't done outside at -43 except talk a lady onto her back in a snow bank. In a car, yes.
