Where you live the growing season wouldnt start for a month (last frost) in a good yr. I used to live in wyo, and gardened there, I know these things.

It's hardly worth arguing about; but I'll posit that the wheat and hay yield out this way is gonna be WAY down.
It's not just a frost. It's been seven days with the nighttime temperature below 25 degrees. The ground is literally refreezing; and in even the lower mountain elevations, the snowpack never melted.
We can't solve "what will be" here. I'd just say that in many places, there's a lot of troubles, even over-and-above no fertilizer. Stand by to stand by...

Residents of Cheyenne County, there’s currently a fire burning North of Highway 96 in Kiowa County. We have sent mutual-aid from both Cheyenne Wells and Kit Carson. Rumors going around that the Town of Cheyenne Wells is under a mandatory evacuation order. This is NOT true at this time. If something changes you will receive a code red alert. County Officials and first responders are working diligently to control the situation. Keep our fire fighters and first responders in your thoughts.

The dirt is blowing so bad I can see the mailbox 40 yards from the house. Its the dust bowl man..........high wind gust by my weather station is 82 mph. My greenhouse is rocking and rolling.

Here, we had a social-engineering experiment - mostly to test obedience and to sow mass panic - the worldwide lockdowns. The economic collapse took nearly two years, but it's here, NOW.

They seem to think an abnormally wet period conincided with the start of mechanized farming in the 20's. Then it went back to the 'mean' and caused the dust bowl.
My buddy just called. he just sold his farm a few weeks ago. he cant get to town becuase of zero visibility, so hes sitting in an old barn, looking at real estate in missouri. Its one of those days.

Didja know there has never been a mandatory evacuation around here? True dat. What is amazing to see is the infinite lines of out-of-state cars absolutely filling all northbound lanes of I-95 and Floriduh Turnpike when a hurricane approaches.
I was on my buddy's boat, coming back from a dive trip to the Bahamas when the last big hurricane was approaching (the one that wrecked assholes' private planes by the fargin dozen at Miami Airplane Patch) -- and we could see miles both north and south as we approached shore, the GIANT parking lot represented by I-95. OMIGAWD,
Trying to get several million "me first" Yankees up a total of five lanes (Turnpike plus I-95) in a day is exciting -- and fun -- to watch. A half-million cars on the road... and if ONE -- JUST ONE -- of them runs out of gas, throws a fan belt, whatever... that means you have (did have!) a 60-mile long, non-get-offable, parking lot behind it.
Meanwhile, the folks who live here just follow Hurricane Procedure (everyone has hurricane-proof shutters, stored gas, water, yada.) No big thing.
Last hurricane, I went outside in the middle of it to experience it. The wind was coming directly from the West, so I went walking in the east-side "shadow" of the Chateau until i got the the back corner...
Here is the dangdest thing: I could NOT get my head all the way around with my eyes open or shut <-- If I was facing into the wind. It was like holding your eyes shut if someone had a garden hose spraying your face. Couldn't do it.

yes we did and then the winds came and dried everything up…we watched the clouds on the hill by the restaurant and knew when this system hit Kansas it was Katy bar the door..
