I like JM Bullion. I have ordered from them over a dozen times with no major hiccups. The first few orders almost made it to my house but ended up on a neighbors
porch and the second in another neighbors mail box. This has been corrected and was the the fault of the mail carrier not JM Bullion.

I always pay by check and figure 3 weeks until delivery. (I'm patient:)

With the new free shipping and recent ham handed marketing of my old favorite online dealer,
JM bullion will be getting the bulk of my orders from now on.

So far so good with my first JM Bullion order.

I paid by check, and was glad to see an email update today that they have received the check and will ship when it clears in 5 business days, and they promise another email then.

While I saw some of the comments that shipping could take some time, so far I appreciate that they seem to send updates at each stage of the process. That really helps to inspire confidence that things are moving along, even if it will be another week or two before I actually receive my order. I will come back then to update the whole process, shipping speed, the condition of the order when it arrives, etc.

One thing I would like to be critical of. When I visit your website I see the prices initially and they look good but if I click on the item I find out that is not the price but the price for mass quantities.

Guess I would suggest flipping it around and showing the cost for a single piece and then getting the discount listing after I click on the part. That seems to be how others do it and it makes sense to me.
+1

I was annoyed by this too. I agree the single price should be first, multiple quantities later.

1st order from JMBullion, went the speed a check payment is declared to take.
Did not know of JMB until Gainesville sent the WRONG year of China pandas.
Ordered 2013's and received 2014's. WTF?
Gainesville offered return/refund or free shipping next order.
No refund of difference in price when kept.
Overwhelming suspicions in regards to "mistake".

Found JMBullion had 2013 pandas available and ordered.
Additional decorative coins for younger ones gifts and PM encouragement.
Came wrapped for battle and of course, free shipping.
Free shipping significantly reduces per coin cost for small purchases.
I greatly appreciate this price reduction when purchasing only 12 coins.
The little underlings won't know I kept two for myself!

Will follow through with upcoming order report, another gift acquisition.
Recommending JMBullion to friends who are active non credit card purchasers.
Thank you JMBullion for Free shipping, diverse payment options(no credit poison), and competitive prices.
Please do not expand beyond capability to remain pro customer.
LLBeans has not miraculously so. A great example.

Looks like their prices are higher than APMEX and other competitors for the smaller stuff to compensate for the free shipping, but they still have better prices for anything above 1/4 oz. I think.

I wish their list prices listings were for a single item and not the 100+ discount.

I ordered some ASEs from JM ten days ago by check, and was sent the USPS tracking number today. Not bad - well within my other experiences with Gainesville and Provident. There seems to be a wide range of experiences on this thread - some favorable and some not so. I wonder if it has to do with their inventory on hand? At the time I ordered, their premium on ASEs was just a tiny bit higher than for generics - a good deal. The margin has opened up a bit now. Assuming the silver arrives early next week, I'll order from JM again.

Today ( May 3 ) I received my 2 orders

Both packages were intact

The package with the roll of eagles was turned into a maraca ( too much room in the box for the tube to bang around in)

The coins were & are fine.

The package with the smaller specialty items was fine no problem.
But it did not weigh as much as the roll of eagles.

I would rate them a 4

They need to work on how to ship the coin rolls better so nosy post office tellers dont get so nosy because the package jingles.

just my.02 & YMMV

Small order (7 ounces of assorted silver coins) placed 4/22, received today 5/5. Paid by personal check; time frame a little longer than APMEX, but with no history with JM, I can understand the caution. Coins were well packed, arrived safely and in beautiful condition. I did appreciate the communication - when the check was received and when the order was shipped. If they keep offering good prices with free shipping, I'll be buying again.

After ordering on 4/21, I received my silver yesterday, 5/9 (18 days).

I did appreciate the email update when my check arrived, and when it cleared and the item was shipped.

They did say it shipped Monday by 2-day USPS Priority Mail, but it did not arrive until Friday. Not sure if that's their fault, or USPS.

As others have mentioned, the coin rolls were loose in the box, and banged around, causing one end of the box to partially tear open. A simple fix if they just stuff it with air packets or packing peanuts or even just crumpled paper, and hopefully one they will listen to customers and implement.

That said, the coins arrived taped up in mint tubes and seem to be in good shape. So 4 stars from me, deducting 1/2 star for shipping speed and 1/2 star for poor packing.

I will give them an a plus on communication. In fact, entertaining. I don't remember the specifics but I got email notices like, 'processing downstairs'. An hour later it was upstairs (I assume) being packaged, then preparing for shipping etc. Got a kick out of it. Only thing missing was 'guy carrying it upstairs' or 'went to the can, will be back in fifteeneen minutes to finish wrapping'. How about 'messing around with Tricia in packaging while waiting for Larry to get out another pallet of one ounce generics'.

Giving JM a try. Just placed an order with JM and APMEX at the same time, same product, and same payment method. We'll see how it goes.

Placed an order on 5/27 with JM, received the package in the mail today (6/2). Plain brown box with a return address/name that none would suspect was a coin/bullion dealer. PM's were double warped in bubble wrap and did not move when I shook the package. It could have been a heavy car part for all the mail carrier knew (I order car/truck stuff a lot). Very happy with both the service and communication. Will do business with again.

I have ordered from JM quite a few times and have been very pleased with their service. The prices are competitive, the products are pristine, the customer service is excellent, and the delivery time is reasonable. I really don't care if my order takes 10 days or 4 weeks. I'm not flipping, just stacking. They will continue to be my online PM provider.

I have ordered from JMbullion last weekend, two orders. I mailed two paper checks, which have been in the mail for 4 full days. Definitely they would have gotten there by now, but my account still says, "waiting for checks". I'll be adding a vote to this thread........hopefully soon.

Louky - can you PM me your order number? I'd like to check into this for you. We recently rolled out regional lockboxes and I know there have been a few bumps with the reporting that we are sorting out now.

Received my order today and it was a excellent transaction. Ordered on 5/28 and sent a personal check the same day, received payment confirmation 6/3, and the order shipped on 6/11. Packaging was good and it didn't have JM Bullion in the return address ;] I was surprised to receive San Fransisco mint SAE's, pleasantly surprised. Will order again. Hope you start a buyback program - gonna need someone to sell it back to when it reaches $100 :]

To date, all my JM orders have gone through trouble free, I'm not missing Provident a bit! I like the PayPal option and have taken good advantage of the SAE deal. Overall, I'm very pleased with the order and shipment process, keep up the good work and thanks for your sponsorship of GIM!

QWAK,I decided to test drive an order with JM Bullion after using Apmex for many years --- I placed my order 5/31 and payed with personal check.

The check cleared my bank 6/4 JM Bullion notified me they got my check 6/6 and it would take 5 or less to clear then ship my order.:hmmmm2:

I was notified my order shipped 6/13 and UPS says I can expect delivery 6/20

That would be about twice as long as my usual orders with Apmex.

The shiping was FREE so I saved $10.00 and what I ordered was very slightly :dontknow: cheeper than Apmex.

I will let you know Friday how the packaging turns out in comparison of the two companies.:cheerful:

Thanks for the feedback. We recently rolled out regional lockboxes for paper checks to speed up the in-transit time, and unfortunately the first week was a little bumpy with the reporting, resulting in a few day delay like you experienced. We believe we have this sorted out now so the reporting is prompt/same day. Thanks for your patience.

If you look at my 2 reviews on orders I placed, I had the same issue where my bank clears the check and it takes 2 to 3 days for JM to acknowledge that they received the check. So hopefully they have all the kinks worked out the regional lockboxes, and this speeds up the notification process.
