I never could put the Eagles into a category. Rock? Almost. Country? Almost. Folk? Maybe some. Pop? Not sure. If that whats-his-name was "king of pop", then probably not. But there's no need to put them in a category. They were solid good writers, musicians, and singers. Maybe life was good to them, but they made life good for us, too.

Since we are talking music, and this is the joke thread...

I have a trailer in town that I rent out with AirBNB. It doesn't throw out a lot of nickles, but it pays the bills. After a guest leaves, I go to do the usual cleanup so it is ready for the next guest.

I often like to start my cleaning with a Kansas CD. It gets me in the "get-r-done" mood, starting with "Carry on wayward son." I never get tired of that song. I have a usual order of doing the cleanup, and noticed several times that I am vacuuming when "Dust in the wind" comes on. I really like that song, and I am missing part of it.

Then it occurred to me. Isn't it funny that this song is playing when I am vacuuming?

I am confused. There is a wiener dog, and now there is a wiener bird? Every turkey neck I have cooked was mostly bone. (But there was some meat, good for stews.) Is this some tragic accident from the boneless chicken ranch?
