Today, we'll take a look inside a very weird, but pretty compelling, little knife, and muse on the many things that I as a reviewer (rather than a knifemaker) just don't understand.

I like my Ruike P801 similar I would buy this knife in a second. Both knifes are $100 off the market price...

My carry knife(s) is a SPYDERCO Manix 2 special purple CPMS110V axis lock similar blade only with super large hole thumb flip...

I bought a pretty beefy Gerber knife when I started climbing. The guy said it was a "knife for life".
It's still kicking butt and looking good almost 30 years later.

The Mcusta Katana is undoubtedly attractive, but also, 100%, a festival of KnifeGripes. The end result is a knife that some might love, but which drives me absolutely nuts.

Thanks to your posts SEARCHER - I purchased a good set of TORX individual drivers and started to take apart my many collector knives.

I started with my Kisers, Spydercos, and Benchmades...

YOU made it fun with gabby Nick which I need because he gives me the time (Yada Yada) to catch-up
with him...

Thanks again...

Today, we'll take a look at the BladeHQ Exclusive Spyderco Shaman in M4 steel, and you'll experience one of my very favorite ways of completely voiding a new knife's warranty: modifications to make the scales non-ugly and make the knife 'mine'. When they become more widely available, it'll be here: https://www.bladehq.com/item--Spyderc...

(Sorry about the first version, got cut off for some reason! Thanks YouTube.)

I have both (my APEX has some 20 stones) and I love the Spyderco with the extra stones...
I use a couple of "4 inch quick wood clamps" ($4.00 ea. Amazon or Ebay) to the workbench
with the Spyderco (similar system for the Apex too) and I go UP & DOWN
with two hands on each side with the Spydeco... works great even with
CPM S110V steel even with the EXTRA FINE stones...

BTW I have some 9 STROPS (3 Horsehide and 6 others for my finishing) for my straight razors
which are for learning and BOY! are DEM THINGS sharp! The knives are really sharp too. My
wife's Japanese kitchen knives are dangerous...

just ole HS just saying..

If you want something for sharpening anything...

This is really worth watching if you have anything that is dull - even a potato peeler - or nail clipper!
Or a shop tool!

Remember "two 4 inch wood clamps to hold it down and two hands for steady
sharpening" like holding your .357 on target! And BOY when you are my age I need two hands!

I have three of these! One is really an old 201 version - and THESE two 203 are the new ones.
I bought the XFine stones and the 220 knock off which are the
diamond stones...

For $62 bucks Amazon Prime ish... it is a no brainer if you toe nail clippers are dull!

I use 40 degrees on Sharpmaker and 20 degrees each side (40 total on the Apex EdgePro... just saying...)
