Beijing to Washington: 'Meet China Halfway' to End Tariff War
August 21
BEIJING — Beijing appealed to Washington on Wednesday to “meet China halfway” and end a tariff war after President Donald Trump said Americans might need to endure economic pain to achieve longer-term benefits.
A foreign ministry spokesman, Geng Shuang, expressed hope Washington can “get along with us” and restore “mutually beneficial” trade.
The United States is pressing China to narrow its trade surplus and roll back plans for government-led development of global competitors in robotics and other technologies. Beijing’s trading partners say those plans violate its market-opening commitments. Some American officials worry they might erode U.S. industrial leadership.
Of course a US-China trade deal is way off. A state of flux works for Trump.
If Trump keeps the future of Chinese trade up in the air less and less investors are going to place their capital in China. Investors and companies want a stable environment. No accord means things are less stable and harder to predict.
Time is on Trump's side. Even if Trump gets a sweetheart of a deal with China the MSM will still home in on any little thing they can and call the deal a failure. By prolonging the negotiations Trump make China less desirable to deal, increasing the risk, and at the same time keeps his detractors in the MSM at bay.
It's all about politics and the upcoming US election.
The global powers are likely to have them make the "oh so Great" trade deal sometime in 2020 or when it will have the most positive impact for his re-election. The deal won't change anything, just like the recent NAFTA2.0, but it will boost wall street and serve as good propaganda.

Would be nice if you'd watch the video before spouting about it.
Just saying.
I think the man is giving America a valid warning from first hand experience about the Chinese Communist Party.
That's just my opinion. You obviously have your own.

After watching this video and hearing this Chinese businessman tell of how the Chinese Communist Party has influence in many places in America, it isn't difficult to believe. We all know so many of our politicians and govenment officials are corrupt ... I imagine the reason is many of them have financially benefited from the Chinese Communist Party. Bribed, bought off, and/or threatened.... whatever you want to call it. Limitless amounts of money can buy an awful lot of people.
I wish Trump well. But he is up against a formidable enemy. May God help him.
And God bless and protect Miles Kwok. He is a brave man to speak out against the CCP.

Holy shit. I did not know that. That is just stupid to the nth degree. There is no more stupid than that fo allow a foreign government effectively control internet traffic. Beyond stupid. Who the hell would allow that. How did it happen? WTF?
Like Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch is pursuing information in an effort to obtain justice in Washington, Kyle Bass seems to be on a tear warning America of the influence of the Chinese Communist Party. I pray his efforts are not in vain.

Because Christianity has made huge inroads in secret in China. It's estimated that they have the largest Christian population of any nation on Earth, so yeah...any body of people who believe that the government is not the all-powerful body that people should answer to poses a huge threat.
Boycotting generally doesn't resolve much, what we need are alternative products
China doesn't need to be crushed, they need to share their share of the market and America needed new leadership
We got one, we only need the other and some writers make it seem like we're close to that end, cooperation from the communists is better than antagonism from them
