Those commemorative CC Morgan Dollars originally sold, I believe? for $89 direct from the US Mint back in the late-80s post-Hunt Bros.

Now they want $300+.

They will never be gold.

Looks like a couple thousand bucks, maybe five at most? Unless the comic books are worth something. Doubt it.

EDIT: I'm not knocking the find. It probably took off some the despair of dealing with the rest of the trash.

Free money is free money.....but honestly, that doesnt look like much money to me.

Wheres the gold nigga?

Gold was not as popular back then. It was $300 an ounce for awhile, but everybody loved silver. They would reminisce about it being in regular pocket change. Gold was unattainable to most.

There was also not the instantaneous information available back when the old lady hoarded everything. The currency was only wounded by the Vietnam War and rejection of the gold standard.

Now, in the middle of an intentional currency collapse or in other words, "The Great Reset", Gold has not been this popular since 1896.

The comic books aren't worth much. For instance, the first book on the top left is Howard the Duck issue #30, which is currently selling on eBay for $5 - $10.

I heard of a story recently where the kids were cleaning up a basement of a relative and after throwing out half of the news papers something fell out of one.
Stocks and bonds...
Half had already gone to the landfill.

That a story that I had heard before, but this person was talking about one of their relation 40 years ago.
Could be the same story as folklore.

Either way the lesson to learn is make sure you go through everything that your relatives have interest in...NOT just trash the stuff.

I've heard a few local stories over the years.

I know a guy that found rings inside of pill bottles mixed in with prescription pills from a delinquent storage locker.
Had he not looked at everything he could have very well just thrown them out.

Sounds like someone looking for attention.
Nice score, but so what.
We don't need to know.
He'd be better served keeping it to himself, some people gotta tell.

Idiot. Why is he telling everyone?

You keep stuff like this to yourself.

.
Did you answer your own question?
When I find a cent or dime on the ground, I don't call attention to myself.

Rhetorical question. When folks do something like that, the stupidity irritates me.
