Hate to say it because my heritage is Italian but forget about it they are out numbered and i doubt they know even the cops are not on their side. Time to move out and let it burn.
How do i know the cops are not on their side? Again go try and participate in this statue destroying fad with your friends on a Martin Luther King statue.
No, they need to stay in their shithole and fix it. It's their problem. We don't need them moving into other areas of the country and putting their liberal ideas in place. It's their cesspool, they created it, let them swim in it and leave the rest of us out of it!

FYI, I'm Italian too but just being of Italian descent doesn't get a pass from me. There are lots of Guidos I wouldn't take a piss on because they're such liberal c*nts

150 feds divided up by 3 8hr shifts. Now subtract the brass that will be in an air conditioned office staring at a map of Illinois eating Chicago style pizza and that would put about 40 feds on the street at any given time. In a city of a few million people that won’t even put a dent in the number of shooting incidents.

Chicago Mayor Agrees to Allow Deployment of Federal Police to Chicago after Call with Trump

Lightfoot.jpg

Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot expressed agreement with President Trump’s plan to deploy federal police to the city during a Wednesday evening phone call with the president, according to the mayor’s office.
Trump has ordered the Department of Homeland Security to send 200 officers to Chicago, which recorded an abnormally high number of shootings over the past two months, to quell the surging. The unrest in Chicago differs in kind from that in Portland, Ore., which has seen continuous rioting and destruction of city and federal property over the same period.
Lightfoot had previously rejected the deployment of federal police in Chicago, writing on Twitter on Tuesday, “Under no circumstances will I allow Donald Trump’s troops to come to Chicago and terrorize our residents.”
Trump “reached out to Mayor Lightfoot this evening to confirm that he plans to send federal resources to Chicago to supplement ongoing federal investigations pertaining to violent crime,” the mayor’s office said on Wednesday in a statement to the Chicago Sun-Times. “Mayor Lightfoot maintains that all resources will be investigatory in nature and be coordinated through the U.S. Attorney’s office. The Mayor has made clear that if there is any deviation from what has been announced, we will pursue all available legal options to protect Chicagoans.”
Federal officers drew media criticism after demonstrators in Portland reported being grabbed off the street by unidentified federal law enforcement and brought to other locations. DHS head Chad Wolf has said the officers were in fact identifiable and has criticized demonstrators as “rioters” and “anarchists.”
The deployment of federal police in the city will be overseen by U.S. Attorney John Lausch, whom Lightfoot knows from her tenure as a former federal prosecutor.
“This is not patrol. This is not against civil unrest,” Lausch said. “This is working with the Chicago Police Department to do what we can to reduce the staggering violent crime we’re facing right now.”
Even after the announcement, Lightfoot said on Thursday that “The president has been on a campaign now for some time against Democratic mayors across the country.”
During riots that followed the death of George Floyd during his arrest by Minneapolis police officers, Chicago city council members criticized Lightfoot for refusing to deploy the National Guard outside the city’s business district.
“My ward is a s–t show,” complained Alderwoman Susan Sadlowski-Garza in a conference call. “They are shooting at the police. I have never seen the likes of this. I’m scared.”
Alderman Raymond Lopez, a frequent critic of Lightfoot, said his district was ‘“a virtual war zone,” to which Lightfoot responded Lopez was “100 percent full of s–t.”
“Well, f–k you then,” Lopez shot back. “Mayor you need to check your f—–g attitude.”

Chicago Mayor Lightfoot Deploys Police to Guard Her Home on Night She Orders Removal of Columbus Statue

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot deployed dozens of police officers on Thursday to form a human barricade around the block where she lives. This was the same day she ordered the removal of a Christopher Columbus statue in Grant Park in the overnight hours.

Now: CPD estimating 1000 to 1500 people marching toward the home of @LoriLightfoot. Some wearing gloves and googles. All per internal CPD communication. #Chicago

— CWBChicago (@CWBChicago) July 24, 2020

The local CBS affiliate reported on the scene in Chicago, where the Trump administration is sending federal police to help quell the ongoing violence, as shooting deaths occur on a daily basis:

About 1,000 protesters gathered in Logan Square Thursday night calling for racial justice and police reform. The protesters were gathered at Kimball and Wrightwood avenues, close to where Mayor Lori Lightfoot lives, as of 9:15 p.m.

The group included representatives of Black Lives Matter and Good Kids Mad City, and they are also calling for the defunding of police.

The protest began at the actual Logan Square at Milwaukee and Kedzie avenues. It grew considerably as it moved through the neighborhood.

Folks are manning the barricade with umbrellas as a organizer encourages protesters to "put hands on" any agitators they see.

At the same time protesters were pressing in on Lightfoot, the mayor, who is in her first term, ordered that a statue of Christopher Columbus be removed in the dead of night.

The Chicago Tribune reported on the statue removal:

Hoping to avoid another high-profile confrontation between police and protesters like the clash that happened last week, Mayor Lori Lightfoot ordered the statues of Christopher Columbus removed from Chicago’s Grant and Arrigo parks overnight.

Lightfoot’s abrupt move in the dark of night was an about-face for the mayor, who has opposed taking down statues of the Italian explorer on the grounds that it would be erasing history. The mayor’s office statement Friday morning said that the city would soon announce “a formal process to assess each of the monuments, memorials, and murals across Chicago’s communities, and develop a framework for creating a public dialogue to determine how we elevate our city’s history and diversity.”

Not all Italian American leaders in Chicago are on board with the decision, but it has received the blessing of some groups, sources said. By taking the statues down, Lightfoot may draw criticism from those who believe she caved to activist demands.

“What has become of Chicago? We have a mayor forced into submission by anarchy & mob-rule? No more public process, official discourse, or on-the-record debate. The lesson learned is that if you want action from Lightfoot, show up en mass at her house & she will cave every time,” Alderman Raymond Lopez tweeted:

— Ald. Raymond Lopez (@RLopez15thWard) July 24, 2020

“This step is about an effort to protect public safety and to preserve a safe space for an inclusive and democratic public dialogue about our city’s symbols,” Lightfoot said the statement. “In addition, our public safety resources must be concentrated where they are most needed throughout the city, and particularly in our South and West Side communities.”

CHICAGO POLICE INVOLVED SHOOTING
3 Chicago Cops, Suspect Shot at 25th District Police Station on NW Side during Arrest; 2 other Cops Injured

(ABC) Three Chicago police officers and a carjacking suspect were shot and two others injured while arresting the suspect in the Hanson Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side Thursday morning, police said.
Police said the officers were arresting a carjacking suspect at the 25th District station at 5555 West Grand Avenue when at about 9:40 a.m. during the arrest process, the suspect was able to fire several shots at the officers.
One officer was shot in the neck and transported to Illinois Masonic Hospital and is in the Intensive Care Unit.
“He sustained a gunshot wound to the left side of his neck,” said Dr. Samuel Kingsley, Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital. “It was necessary to put a breathing tube in, in order to protect his airway and allow him to breathe safely. We are working to stabilize him at this point.”
A second officer was shot in the hip and transported to Loyola University Medical Center. A third officer was shot in a protective vest and the bullet did not penetrate through. That officer was also taken to Loyola Medical Center.
Two other officers suffered chest pains and one was taken to Loyola Medical Center and the other to Illinois Masonic Medical Center for treatment.
Chicago police said as of 8:20 p.m. the officers taken to Loyola have been treated and released. The officer taken to Illinois Masonic is still hospitalized, and his condition has been stabilized.
The carjacking suspect was also wounded and transported to Stroger Hospital. The suspect’s condition is not known.
Superintendent David Brown said the suspect was wanted in connection with a carjacking downtown on June 26.
“Officers got behind the car. Identified it as that car, from the carjacking vehicle, stopped the car, put the suspect into custody, and the rest transpired after,” Brown said.
The gun used by the carjacking suspect has been traced by ATF agents who responded to the scene, agency officials told the I-Team. The weapon will undergo a ballistics comparison to see if it has been used in a previous shooting.
Speaking outside Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Superintendent Brown asked for prayers for the officers and the whole department.
“I want to strongly emphasize the inherent danger that these and all Chicago police officers experience every day protecting the residents of Chicago,” he said. “When they leave home, they leave their loved ones and put these stars on and risk everything, they risk everything protecting all of us.”
Mayor Lori Lightfoot chimed in on Twitter, posting, “Today is a searing reminder of the danger our men and women of our Police Department face every day they put on their uniforms and leave their homes. This is the sacrifice they make in order to serve and protect our city and fellow residents.”
The Civilian Office of Police Accountability is investigating the shooting. Officers involved will be placed on routine administrative duty for 30 days.

Where's the reporting on downtown Chicago havoc? - Quicktake
Videos and pictures don’t lie. They were easily found on the internet again late Saturday night in another round of vandalism and hatred for cops in downtown Chicago.

But if you saw those videos then surveyed the news Sunday morning you’d think you woke up in a different city.

Some of Saturday night’s vandalism.
Take a look at a few of the videos and pictures linked here:

Street completely vandalized in the heart of downtown at State and Jackson Streets.

Singing, dancing and an Antifa shirt.

Cop car smashed.

Huge contingent of police needed.

Black Lives Matter Chicago proudly displaying the vandalism, saying “streets of Chicago looking really beautiful” and calling cops pigs.
https://twitter.com/BLMChi/status/1289772812060811264

But nothing of that in the regular media. The only reports so far from NBC Chicago, ABC Chicago and CBS Chicago mostly say it was another peaceful “protest.” It may have started that way but that’s not what it became later — anything but safe.

Among the cries from the mob was “Free Palastine.” That’s no surprise since BLM Chicago recently went on a Twitter binge against Israel and its connections to Chicago, likening the BLM’s mission to the Palestinians’. BLM has a long history with anti-Semitism, summarized here. The Chicago Tribune union recently tried to display its abhorrence of anti-Semitism, but have they ever once written on that? Nah.

Saturday night was not unusual. As reported by CWB Chicago, the alderman representing much of downtown has requested more police officers to combat increasing lawlessness that occurs downtown overnight.

He blames curbside parties where hundreds of people congregate between midnight and 4:00 a.m., “when literally nothing is open downtown.” Overnight crime downtown is “totally unacceptable,” the alderman says, and deserves immediate attention.

And it deserves immediate press attention, he might have added.
