there is talk about how it seems the soviet states are happy about the election,

kind of stands to reason,

this gal was born in Slovenia, a ex soviet state, and the location of one of the worst civil wars in history. If we remember the bloody Bosnia and Herzegovina war. The stories coming out of there were crazy.

there is now a person in the oval office that comes from that area, has seen major strife in her lifetime.

the massive attempts at independence, eventually morphing into states of the whole.

regardless, a different view will be offered, and no different than if the wife were to be asian or from mehico'

not a bad thing or a good thing, just is at this point

Meet the Future First Lady
Melania Trump

Future First Lady of the United States Melania Trump is the wife of President Elect Donald J. Trump, and was born in Novo Mesto, Slovenia, and grew up in a modest home with her younger sister (and later learned of a half brother). Her father was a car dealer and her mother a designer of children’s clothing.

Mrs. Trump began a modeling career at age 16 and signed with a modeling agency in Milan. She would pursue a degree at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia, but paused her studies to advance her modeling career in Milan and Paris, before moving to New York in 1996. She has appeared on the covers of a host of prominent magazines including the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, Vanity Fair, GQ, and others. She has appeared in television commercials for large corporate brands, and on popular television shows such as The View and The Celebrity Apprentice. She also runs her own jewelry line called Melania Timepieces & Fashion Jewelry and sells on QVC.

She met Donald Trump in 1998 and they were engaged in 2004. Mrs. Trump is the stepmother of the Trump children – Donald Trump, Jr., Ivanka, Eric, and Tiffany – and gave birth to Barron Trump in 2006.

Mrs. Trump is fluent in English, Slovenian, French, Serbian, and German, and, in 2006, proudly became a citizen of the United States of America. She will be only the second foreign born first lady, and the first since Louisa Adams (1825-1829), wife to John Quincy Adams, the nation’s sixth president.

Mrs. Trump cares deeply about issues impacting women and children, and she has focused her platform on the problem of cyber bullying among our youth.

Tom Ford refused to dress Melania Trump when asked in the past and says his clothes are 'too expensive' for her to wear as First Lady (despite making a custom gown for Michelle Obama)
  • Tom Ford said in an interview on Wednesday that he was asked to dress Melania Trump in the past but turned down the request
  • When pressed as to why he did not want to work with the former model Ford said: 'Well, she's not necessarily my image'
  • Ford said he would not dress her now either because his clothes are 'too expensive' for a first lady to wear
  • The designer, who had been a vocal supporter of Hillary Clinton during the election, said he would not dress her either if she had taken office
  • Ford, 55, did dress Michelle Obama in a custom-made gown for a dinner with the royal family at Buckingham Palace back in 2011
  • No price was given for the one-of-a-kind look, but Ford's evening wear tends to cost at least $5,000, with most priced in the five-figure range

Tom Ford specializes in transgender Wookies. He wouldn't know what to do with an actual beautiful female human being. I'm sure they'll be no shortage of designers that will step forward for Melania.

Put Ford on the list with Kellogg's. He also has a line of eyewear that people bring into my office to have lenses inserted. Perhaps I'll decline to put lenses into his frames because "they're not necessarily your image".
What a maroon. These so called "ar-teests" belong with HiLIARy and D. Glover...go away.
Heh. I got my first set of eye glasses in October. I wanted basic but good looking metal half frame glasses.
I typed in what I was after with choices @ the store and one was Donald Trump 012 in black.
I got them, very nice!

WTF??????????????

'Melania was slut-shamed': Megyn Kelly slams critics of Donald's wife and is then BOOED when she tells Women in Hollywood audience that there are things to admire about Trump
  • Megyn Kelly delivered the opening remarks at The Hollywood Reporter's annual Women in Entertainment breakfast
  • The Fox News host spoke about sexism during the recent election
  • She said: 'Melania Trump was slut-shamed and called a trophy wife'
  • She then told the crowd there was 'much to admire' about Donald Trump, leading to boos from a few including Kathy Griffin
  • When Kelly asked Griffin to stop she responded by shouting out: 'F*** him'
  • Kelly also applauded the 'women of Fox News' who 'brought down a serial sexual harasser', referring to Roger Ailes

Wife unit here , similar to Gringott, is from Eastern Europe and thinks the whole American woman thing is a whining sack of smelly b.s.
And dont start us on the current 1st lady or Hillary.
Subset of above.

Read up on Melanias childhood and how she got into modeling in the first place.
Lady worked her ass off.
Speaks at least 4, maybe 5 languages.
Further, she filed all the paperwork, paid every due and fee for her citizenship..AND...shes proud of it.
First class unit.

From a Small Town to the Top of the World: What Shaped Melania Trump
VOA News

Published on Dec 22, 2016
On January 20, former model Melania Trump becomes the first foreign-born woman to become first lady of the United States in almost 200 years. Before this year, most Americans knew little of Melania Trump or her country of origin, the former Yugoslav republic of Slovenia. VOA Europe Correspondent Luis Ramirez takes us there for a glimpse of her origins and the factors that shaped the woman who will soon be America’s first lady.

Back in the day I worked in a State Office building with a lady who escaped the bloody civil war in Bosnia in 1996.

"I came home one day and my kitchen was gone", she told me in her thick Russian sounding accent. A RPG had left rubble where the sink once was.

She moves to USA and it is my job to train her to collect money.

She was tough as nails and more intelligent than our CEO.

Beautiful with the figure of an 18 year old at 45.

Her only handicap was she taught herself English from a book and had problems with Yankee slang.

"You are pulling my tooth", she would say in that Natasha voice, instead of, "pulling my leg."

One day she crashed our State Intranet system and had to call the main help desk in Frankfort. She explains in her deep ruskie English to the IT tech downtown, "This is IVANKA, I just blew up Kentucky Net!"

Needless to say our small office erupts in laughter (this was right after 911)..

I commented once on her 'Russian sounding accent' and she gave me the hardest meanest look I ever got from a woman. "I'm not Russian you geocentric yank." her eyes said. Absolutely HATED russians would not tell me why.

Hot smart woman. But I still like Finn girls better, they are like Nordic Filipinas.

...and the current First Wookie only has a revoked lawyer's license (that seems to run in the family) and a trail of racist remarks (again, apparently a family trait) on (allegedly) 'her' resume. I'd say Melania is a tremendous upgrade!

Macy's publicly boycotted Trump products. Now they are closing stores by the hundreds. There is more of us than there is of them.

Flawless First Lady: Melania Trump is a vision in baby-blue Ralph Lauren as she channels Jackie Kennedy in an elegant dress and gloves for the inauguration
  • Melania Trump has selected a baby blue dress and jacket for her husband's swearing in ceremony
  • The look was designed by Ralph Lauren and is double-faced cashmere mock-turtleneck dress that is being worn under a short jacket with a bold collar
  • She accessorized her outfit with a pair of heels, clutch and elbow-length gloves that were all the same hue of blue
  • The 46-year-old made the decision to keep everything else simple, choosing to play up her natural beauty by sweeping her hair into a loose undo
  • Melania's decision to wear a pale blue and her choice of gloves made it immediately clear that she was channeling Jacqueline Kennedy
  • The incoming First Lady also carried Tiffany blue with her on Friday, presenting a gift from the jeweler to Michelle Obama when they met at the White House

She sure doesn't act very affectionate toward him. I don't think she likes him at all. She was a purchase he made, and she might be regretting selling out.
