Following the court’s decision Whitmer revoked Karl Menke’s license.
A license is permission to do what would otherwise be illegal. The real question should be, why do we put up with government telling us we need a license to cut hair at all? Where's the justification for allowing OUR REPRESENTATIVES to tell us we cannot engage in commerce unless we jump through their stupid hoops and then have that CONSTITUTIONALLY protected right taken away because some goobermint tyrant is unhappy with a peasant that exercises his rights?

If anything good comes out of this plandemic it'll be that it has caused goobermint to show themselves for the tyrants they really are. Whitmer's handlers should be screaming at her..."governor wicked witch of the midwest, the optics here are AWFUL! Stop this!"

Michigan Gov Extends 'Stay At Home' Order 2 Weeks

Update (1800ET): Get ready for another round of "reopen now" protests in Lansing.

Roughly 24 hours after announcing a relaxation of the state's stay at home order to permit appointment-only shopping and gatherings of under 10 people, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer extended the state's stay at home order for another two weeks, giving the stock market something to panic about when it reopens on Tuesday.

Many had expected Whitmer to extend the order, albeit with fewer restrictions. During a press briefing, she insisted that while the data are moving in the right direction, "We are not out of the woods yet." The order, which was set to expire on May 28, will instead expire on June 12.

Notably, Whitmer is making this decision - which will lead to more economic devastation and destroyed livelihoods in a critical midwestern swing state that President Trump narrowly won in 2016 - one day after President Trump, who has repeatedly lambasted the governor on twitter, paid a visit to a Ford Factory in the state, where he again refused to wear a mask (something he insists would be "un-presidential"), arousing the anger of the state's attorney general.

The order has been partially relaxed in the northern part of the state, and manufacturing has also been allowed to resume on a limited basis.

Here's more from the Detroit Free Press:

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer on Friday extended her stay-at-home order past its scheduled May 28 expiration to June 12, adding that public venues such as theaters, gyms and casinos would remain closed.

She said while coronavirus cases and deaths are clearly declining, "we are not out of the woods yet."

"If we’re going to lower the chance of a second wave and continue to protect our neighbors and loved ones from the spread of this virus, we must continue to do our part by staying safer at home," she said in a statement first reported by the Free Press.

Whitmer's announcement comes a day after she made several changes to further relax a sweeping stay-at-home order that has been in place since March, allowing social gatherings of 10 people or less immediately and telling retail businesses that sell goods they can reopen to customers for appointment-only shopping Tuesday.

That change also allows for nonemergency dental and doctor services to resume next Friday and Whitmer said Thursday that she would continue to relax the order as warranted by the data. She had previously allowed some retail businesses, such as garden stores and bicycle repair shops to reopen, and at 12:01 a.m. Friday, bars, restaurants and other businesses and offices on the Upper Peninsula and in northern Michigan around Traverse City, could open to customers, provided they limited their customers, made sure people stayed 6 feet apart and required masks.

Manufacturing and construction have resumed as well, under strict regulations. But many parts of Whitmer's rules — which have been challenged in court and led to protests at the state Capitol — continue to disrupt the lives of Michiganders.

Time to get mad folks........

THIS IS ON WHITMER! Black Man Seen Beating Elderly Senior in the Face Was a ‘Patient’ Sent to Nursing Home with Coronavirus

On Friday FOX 2 Detroit in Michigan spoke with the father of the Jaydon Hayden after his arrest.
The father said his son is not vicious, but that he just has health issues.
And the father then said this, “He said his son called 911 and was taken to a mental health facility in Ann Arbor. Last Wednesday, he was diagnosed with COVID-19 and said he was supposed to be taken to another facility to be quarantined.
The father added, “It should’ve never happened because he should’ve never been put in that environment.”

Nothing will happen.

NOTHING.

If you're sick of hearing me say it...well, I'm even sicker to have to say it.
Time to put up or shut up.

“Back of the Line!” – Karma Hits After Gretchen Whitmer’s Husband Tries to Cut in Line Before Michigan Boaters After His Wife Banned Motor Boating for Weeks!
May 23, 2020, 4:16pmby Jim Hoft 347 Comments

And in her latest unexplainable move the far left governor banned motorboats and jet skis but canoes and sailboats were acceptable.

This woman is a crackpot.

On Friday an employee at a dock in northern Michigan shared an interesting story about a phone call with Gretchen Whitmer’s husband.
This was just days after Whitmer finally lifted her nonsensical ban on motorboating.

Via 100% Fed Up:

Yesterday, an employee of North Shore Dock, in northern MI, a company that provides boat and dock services in northern Michigan, including the Birch Lake area, shared an interesting story about a phone call the North Shore Dock company received, allegedly from Governor Whitmer’s husband, Dr. Mark Mallory.

So today put a smile on my face, as most of your know we install docks, store boats etc. This morning I was out working when the office called me, there was a gentleman on hold who wanted his boat in the water before the weekend. Being memorial weekend and the fact that we started working 3 weeks late means there is no chance this is going to happen.

Well, our office personnel had explained this to the man and he replied: “I am the husband to the governor, will this make a difference?”
The employee (his name has been blacked out to protect his privacy) continued:
As you can imagine, that does make a difference, that would put you at the back of the line!!! Needless to say, our Governor and her husband will not be getting their boat for memorial day.

He added:
Too good not to share, I love it when karma comes around, even in small doses.

How To Sue Your Governor

Over the past month of advocating for civil disobedience against the corona ban, I’ve received many requests on how a person goes about suing the government.

A wonderful and fitting article about being civilly disobedient ran at the American Institute for Economic Research entitled “Why Aren’t Americans Suing Their Way Out Of Lockdown?”

That article, by Robert E. Wright, presents a legal framework for why more lawsuits should take place. Below, I’m going to offer a framework for HOW to make that happen. If the courts were inundated with 30 million lawsuits tomorrow, it would be a great thing. I once had the joy of suing the government in a manner similar to this one. Alternately, if even just one key test case is brought before the courts successfully, as Wright describes in his piece, it could have a tremendous impact that ripples through the country.

I’m not deluding myself into thinking that the government judiciary will free America from government tyranny, but once in a while they require a tyrant to explain himself, allow a citizen to redress grievances, and occasionally act as a tool to help right wrongs.

If you think you have been harmed by the corona bans, below are some first steps that can be taken to help set that lawsuit into motion.
Step 1: Decide: Pro Se, Public Interest & Pro Bono, Or Your Own Private Attorney

“Pro se” means you represent yourself. A lot of people have a lot of fun doing that. You learn a lot about the process. Though I think it’s a great education, I’m not convinced it is right for this pressing, emergency topic.

If you decide you’d like to do this pro se, the rest of the article is irrelevant, so please get to work on that and Godspeed. May you have the greatest of success. For the rest of you, I’ll continue.

Public interest lawyers seek cases that have a benefit that goes beyond just one person. They tend to seek a grave government injustice that needs overturning. Sometimes they work free of charge to their client, or “pro bono.” I believe on this topic, there are many lawyers out there who will take a case pro bono if asked.

Many more attorneys will take this case for money. There may be a lower level of philosophical commitment in that situation and a higher level of economic commitment.

I would suggest starting by seeking a pro bono attorney and keeping track of the paid attorneys you encounter along the way with a noted interest in your specific case, in case you decide to reach back out to them and fund the case yourself.
Step 2: Keep Organized

Simple spreadsheets are good for this. Pads of paper are useful, but not great, because URLs can be long. You’ll want columns for the lawyer name, URL, phone number, dates you’ve reached out, and responses. Everything you learn during your search should end up in your spreadsheet, because having everything in one place will make the succeeding steps easier.
Step 3: Identify Potential Lawyers

During this next step, you are aiming to find a broad selection of lawyers. Like brainstorming, you are adding anyone who might take the case to your list, regardless of whatever downsides there might be to working with them. The longer the list made in this step, the better.

In reversal, appeals court orders shutdown of Owosso barbershop

Karl Manke, a barber in Owosso, Mich., cuts Brandon Lamrouex's hair, while answering non-stop phone calls at his barbershop on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, defying Michigan Gov. Whitmer's order for non-essential businesses to be closed. (Photo: Kimberly P. Mitchell, Detroit Free Press)

LANSING – The Michigan Court of Appeals overturned a lower court on Thursday and said the state of Michigan has the authority to shut down an Owosso barber who opened in defiance of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's stay-at-home order.
In an order based on a 2-1 decision, a three-judge panel overturned a May 21 refusal by the Shiawassee County Circuit Court to issue a preliminary injunction that would have stopped Karl Manke from cutting hair.
Judge Matthew Stewart said the state had failed to demonstrate that Manke — who has become something akin to a folk hero among opponents of the stay-home order — posed an imminent threat to public health or safety by continuing to give haircuts.
But the Michigan Court of Appeals sent the case back to Stewart to issue a preliminary injunction against Manke "to immediately cease all operations."
David Kallman, Manke's Lansing attorney, said he filed an appeal with the Michigan Supreme Court Thursday afternoon that resulted in an automatic stay of the order. Manke, who is also fighting state removal of his business license, continued to give haircuts Thursday.

"Uncontroverted evidence clearly revealed that COVID-19 is a highly communicable illness," said the order signed by Judge Stephen Borrello, who was joined by Judge Amy Ronayne Krause.
"Uncontroverted evidence revealed that COVID-19 is spread by infected persons showing no symptoms that could serve to warn others of the possibility of infection," and "clearly revealed that COVID-19 can be spread from person-to-person quickly and reach people separate from an area of contamination."

Borrello was appointed to the court by former Democratic Gov. Jennifer Granholm in 2003. Krause was also a Granholm appointee, in 2010.
Judge Brock Swartzle, a 2017 appointee of former Republican Gov. Rick Snyder, agreed with part of the majority opinion but dissented on a key issue.
Instead of ordering an immediate preliminary injunction, the appeals court should have ordered an expedited hearing on the merits of the dispute, Swartzle wrote. An interim step is required under Michigan court rules in cases where there is a split decision to reverse a trial judge, he said.
Also, "the validity of the (governor's) executive orders is a key question in this and related cases," he said.
Kollman said Swartzle is correct and the panel did not comply with court rules in ordering an immediate injunction. "I'm astounded," he said.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to take 10% pay cut during COVID-19 pandemic

Published April 20

LANSING, Mich. (FOX 2) - Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced on Monday she will take a 10% pay cut during the COVID-19 pandemic and has asked her executive staff to take a 5% cut as well.

The governor made the announcement saying she knows people are suffering and wants to help wherever possible. According to Business Insider, Whitmer made $159,300 in 2019, which would be a cut of more than $15,000 for the year.

Whitmer spoke during a 3 p.m. press conference and you can watch it fox2detroit.com/live or in the embed below.
Gov. Whitmer also addressed the impending end of her Stay Home, Stay Safe order on April 30. She said the next ten days will determine what will happen on April 30.
The speech comes after Michigan reported it's fewest new cases in a single day since March 26. On Monday, 576 new cases were reported with 77 new deaths. The last time Michigan reported fewer than 600 cases in a day was on March 26.

Whitmer's speech is following a cadence of regular press conferences held by the governor and Khaldun on Monday afternoons.
Chief Medical Executive and Chief Deputy Director for Health, Dr. Joneigh Khaldun, also announced expanded testing for all essential workers in Michigan, including first responders. Even if they don't have symptoms, they can get tested for the virus.

During last Monday's press conference, Whitmer and Khaldun said cases were starting plateau but cautioned against reopening the state as it could be disastrous and set Michigan up for a resurgence in cases.

Michigan has been under a Stay Home, Stay Safe initiative since March 23 and it was extended to the end of April That extension also brought an increase of state restrictions on the previous order.
During a press conference on Friday, Whitmer said she would start releasing details about her plan to reopen the economy next week.
Whitmer said reopening the economy will be based on facts, science and the best medical advice the state can get. She said she plans to start putting information out by end of next week and more details the week after. The Stay Home, Stay Safe order expires at the end of April.
“Social distancing is still crucial. When we start returning to work, we will begin with low-risk sectors. As a state, we may re-engage our strategy by region, depending on what the data tells us,” Whitmer said.

Federalism.

The Central Government does not have Plenary Power. The States have all powers not expressly granted to the central government.

So, in many cases, the only (lawful) thing the DOJ can do, is send in notice: We're Interested In This.

Now, of course, if you're a Kenyan named Hussein and you become the American President...law is something you wipe your ass with. So, he just directs his former Black Panther AG, to just go and do stuff.

Do we want to be as lawless as they? And if we are, are we just not fighting for who has all the power?

No, the answer is not to sit there and take it. The answer is to break up this nation; and put THOSE shitbirds on the far side of that new, guarded wall.

...the states and the people. Yet the state regimes lack the Constitutional authority to steal the rights of the people. Something they've clearly done via executive dictate. Due to a completely blown out of proportion "emergency", numerous state executives, with the blessings of their respective legislatures, have simply suspended the Constitutional rights of their people.

What is transpiring is little different than King George III telling the colonists they'll pay crown taxes and disarm because...reasons. The principle difference here is that these state executives tyrants were allegedly elected. All state executives that believe they can simply...unilaterally...suspend the Constitutionally protected rights of their people should be removed from office immediately. Legally if possible, illegally if necessary. Michiganders have already attempted to remove governess whitless legally. She should now be removed by force. Same for Illinois, Maine, Oregon, etc.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer Suggests People ‘Google’ How To Cut Their Own Hair, Faces Swift Backlash

During her Monday press conference, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) appeared to insult barbers and hairstylists when she suggested people who wanted their haircut should just “Google” how to cut their own hair.

Whitmer, whose own hair looks perfectly maintained despite the state’s coronavirus lockdown orders (which were lifted this month), had been asked during her press conference about Michigan residents traveling to Ohio to get their hair cut, since most other businesses were allowed to open in The Great Lake State.

“If you’re one of those people that’s going to Ohio I hope and pray that you are doing your part not to bring COVID-19 home. If you haven’t resorted to that, Google how to do a haircut, or throw your hair in a ponytail or curl it and get through the next couple of weeks so we can resume some of these things,” Whitmer said, according to MLive.

Whitmer was already facing criticism from salons and barbershops for leaving them out of Phase 4 of Michigan’s reopening, which allowed bars and restaurants to begin inviting guests inside.

In a press release, Mike Sarafa of the Alline Group and Kevin Lent of BAMF X2 expressed their dismay over Whitmer’s reopening plan.

“We are extremely frustrated by Governor Whitmer’s decision to open most of Michigan’s economy while keeping salons and barber shops closed,” the two wrote, adding that Safe Salons for Michigan had created a plan to allow salons and barbershops to reopen safely.

“Not only is this gutting the salon industry, but we are also losing business to neighboring states every day. We firmly believe we are safer open than closed. We urge Governor Whitmer to review our plan and allow licensed salons and barber shops to open immediately,” the press release said.

Sarafa was further insulted by Whitmer’s comments suggesting people could simply look up how to cut their own hair.

“I want to take this opportunity on behalf of the entire industry and the over 100,000 licensed cosmetologists and barbers in the state of Michigan, to ask the governor to apologize for this remark. She is speaking about the jobs of tens of thousands of Michigan voters that are either furloughed or unemployed,” Sarafa said while briefing state lawmakers on the Joint Select Committee on the COVID-19 Pandemic in Lansing on Tuesday. “It is insulting and degrading and a slap in the face to an industry already reeling from forced closures and shutdowns, and it is tone-deaf in the height of arrogance.”

Rachel and Scott Harned were also at the briefing, MLived reported, and explained to lawmakers just how many hours stylists spend learning proper sanitation techniques.

“They actually spend 130 hours devoted to sanitation, equipment safety, personal hygiene, we teach them not only hygiene in the salon but their own personal hygiene,” Scott Harned told the lawmakers.

So far, Whitmer has not apologized for her remarks.

COMMENTS!

There's the problem. She obviously Googled: "How to be a Governer".

Ikr? How many versions of "let them eat cake" do they have to hear?
"Learn to code"
"Get an essential job"
"Let them eat ice cream"
"Google how to cut hair"

Maybe somebody should tell her husband to google how to put your boat in the water

Gretchen Whitmer Violates Own Social Distancing Order During Protest, Chants ‘Hands Up Don’t Shoot’
1591334613396.png

On Thursday morning, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer told protesters to wear a mask and stay six feet apart. Later in the day, she appeared to violate her own rules.

“I encourage everyone who is protesting, if you are out demonstrating or out congregating at all, please wear a mask and please try to stay six feet away from others,” she said on Mojo In The Morning.

Whitmer, who is angling to be Joe Biden’s vice presidential running mate, participated in a protest in downtown Detroit over the death of George Floyd.

She marched along as the closely packed large group chanted, “Hands up, don’t shoot,” and “This is what democracy looks like.”

Whitmer, wearing a cloth mask, was standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Bishop Charles Ellis and Lt. Gov. Garland Gilchrist.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, who enforced some of the most strict lockdown orders in the nation, was seen protesting the death of George Floyd in police custody on Thursday, disregarding social distancing guidelines and surrounded by people who were not wearing masks.

Yes, that is the Governor of Michigan in a very un-socially distanced situation yesterday with people who are not wearing masks.

Just last month she criticized those protesting her stay-at-home orders, saying their actions made it more likely that the lockdown would continue even longer.

Whitmer's spokeswoman Tiffany Brown defended the governor’s actions.

"The governor took precautions for engaging in an outdoor activity, including wearing a mask even though it is not required outdoors under the order," Brown said.

According to the governor’s website explaining the order, protests are protected under the First Amendment but participants “must adhere to social distancing measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, including remaining at least six feet from people from outside the person’s household."

Republican state Rep. Lynn Afenoudlis blasted Whitmer over her hypocrisy.

"Social distancing is critical to stop the spread of COVID-19 — unless you have a great photo op," she tweeted. “And control.”

The issue is not that @GovWhitmer attended a (justified) protest.

It's that for months, she targeted her own citizens who tried to open their businesses & survive.

She broke her OWN RULES.

It's almost like tyrants think they can get away with anything.https://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/local/michigan/2020/06/04/whitmer-appears-break-social-distance-rules-highland-park-march/3146244001/ …

With little social distancing, Whitmer marches with protesters
Gov. Whitmer, who's voiced concerns about other protests potentially spreading COVID-19, participated in a march where social distance rules were ignored

Indeed, just days ago, though the stay-at-home order had been lifted, she said hair salons couldn't open.

What’s happened with the lockdown and then the sudden reversal for political reasons is by far one of the worst injustices perpetrated by our government in modern times. It’s almost unfathomable. I’m seething over it. Any decent, freedom loving American should be.

Why do democrats hate restaurants so much?
Could it be because they have no taste?

Democrats hate Christian churches also.
Could it be because they are godless heathen baby killers?

MI Governor DimWhit is keeping barber shops and hair salons closed, along with gyms and other exercise facilities closed until July 4 because they submitted their own safety plans to DimWhit and then filed suit against her orders. Dog groomer are already open for business though.

his tone-deaf, so-called, governor has the political instincts of a gnat!
As a Conservative Republican, I say: Keep it up, Gretchen; keep Michigan closed; stand with the rioters, arsonists, and thieves, really pizz off all rational residents of your state.
You are in the process of delivering Michigan's Electoral Votes to President Trump--works for me!

So what if there is no huge spike in Covid cases among the protesters/rioters/looters across the country? Does that mean the draconian lock downs weren't needed other than for the destruction of the economy?

I thought the Governor was supposed to be in charge. So what the hell is she protesting? Her own ineptitude?

Even this pathetic - and unhealthy - pandering won't now suffice to get the Reichsfuhrerin on the national ticket.
So people can't buy seeds or get their hair cut - but looting the store and burning the shops down are just fine.
Gathering to shop or worship presents a health risk; gathering to riot somehow does not.
Message received, Wretched Witless.

Even politicians have given up on the fake pandemic...they’ve moved onto some other cockamamie scheme to stop Trump. We’ve seen through it all...let’s vote!
