I've owned a 590 since the mid-late '80s. Of course I love it, got its own Korea Era bayonet, with a side saddle that packs extra shells IF the seven + one aint enough, and sling. If TSHTF and buggin'-out is a good strategy I'll look like the ol' Frito Bandito on the move sans a sombrero and mule ( I just might wish I had a mule) :-))

Here is a good article written by a Veteran w/a Combat Proven 590a1. Like H...45 sez not that much difference between a 590 and its a1 brother.
