Went to see it last night.

Meh...

WWI action. Period uniforms. War is bloody business.

The set was fantastic if you're into the backside of movie making. I'm sure it was all computer generated.

It reminded me of 'Saving Private Ryan' sort of. Same plot line.

Would I go see it again... no. If it came up on the tellie? No.

I'd go see Mr. Rogers again though....

I will be going perhaps this week.
My fathers father went in during 1918 as part of the Mississippi National Guard and was in France for
a year until the next summer.
Pretty incredible it was as far as men and machinery and logistics and what they did in a short few years.
Brings a dif perspective to the perpetual war we have going.

Should i wear my WWI German Kit when I go see it?
Oddly enough, there's not much mention of the Germans....

It's a pretty thin script IMO. Not too deep. No love scenes. Just a couple of guys, corporals?, tasked with going to the front to stop an attack (to save 1600 Brits) and the trials they experience in getting there. It's a trap set up by the Germans and the British general, thinking he has the Germans on the run, fell for it.

Mr. Rogers was much deeper....

Richard Jewell was way better....

"Hear, hear". Even though I live through the time period Eastwood brought out scenes that LeftStreamMedia seemed to overlook as true NEWS.
