Hi Everyone,

I go by txlizard, lived most of my life in Texas and spent countless hours in the creeks around home looking for fossils. I always loved being outdoors, spent most of my adult life working outside.

Now I find myself semiretired and want to prospect for gold and new adventures. I looked around, on-line, for a spot in South America and have pretty much decided on Chile. It's pretty hard to find info on small dredging down there though so I'm hoping I can find someone here that has had experience down there or maybe heard of anyone else that has tried their luck there.

Thanks for reading my post - Ron

Yo Lizard,
Welcome to the forum.
Good to see you.
Hey, there is a guy or two here who have some experience.
MeCo and Sampson are the first who come to mind.
You might look them up and drop.them a PM.
Regards, and hey, if you have any cool fossil finds to share please upload some pics for us.
I , for one, would be keen to see them.

Are you renouncing US citizenship? If so, please let us know how that process goes - all the hoops you have to jump through, the tax implications, etc.

Chile and Argentina are two of my favorite countries that I have visited. Chile is a fantastic place to setup and prospect. Keep us informed of your adventures. Welcome.
