If this belongs in a more appropriate area, please move Mods. From the department of useless and irrelevant info, my 2004 Pontiac Vibe hit 299,999 miles today. Just like my retired GM mechanic Dad said would happen, the odometer stopped spinning at that milestone.

Vibes were built from 2002-2010, as were their cousins, the Toyota Matrix in similar years. There is still a ton of these cars on the road, a tribute to their quality and longevity. They were a GM-Toyota Co-op project, made in CA. I wish they still produced these, as I would gladly purchase another as these were arguably 2 of the best smaller cars ever built in the modern era. The crash of 2008, the restructuring and bailout that transformed General Motors into Government Motors ended that under Zerobama. Off my soapbox now, good luck out there folks.

Pyramid, nothing against you personally, but I've always thought they were one of the ugliest cars on the road.

On the bright side, you got 300K miles outta her - congrats! She obviously served you well.

Great cars and you certainly are getting your moneys worth. Can you get a new unit, or will you just keep on trucking?

I've always liked the GM assembled(?) Geo prism's(Toyota Corrola), and the Trackers and Metro's(Isuzu's?). All well known to go into the 300k's. Thinking about pulling the trigger on this BA 93 Geo Metro 3 cylinder 5 speed right now lol.

Curiously, the odometer stopped on our Ford Focus as well. A bunch of warning lights came on as well. We have it in the shop.

Didn't your salesman teach you that when the speedometer stops, that's all the mileage that car has in it, and you MUST trade it in?

:don't know:
