time can only go one direction
if one could travel in time you could only go back in time
you cannot visit the 'future' because it does not exist yet
the 'now' exists right now, the past is the past, but the future is not there yet
if you could go back in time and remove (destroy) something in the past you could not return to your time because it would not exist anymore - you changed it. You are now in the 'now'

THE METAPHYSICS OF LIGHT

Over the past century, quantum physicists have discovered properties of light that are revolutionizing our view of reality. Traditional (Newtonian) physics assumed that the universe has an objective existence, independent of our subjective consciousness. However, recent discoveries have called this assumption into question, leading to conclusions that are remarkably consistent with ancient spiritual teachings.

1. Nonlocality

Photons can be split into pairs spinning away from each other in opposite directions. When one member of the pair changes direction the other shifts its direction in an equivalent manner, even at great distances. This is called quantum entanglement.

Interestingly, photons respond to each other at a speed far greater than light, even though nothing can move faster than light. Therefore, a nonphysical form communication must be connecting the photons, such as thought.

Everything Is Connected Beyond Time And Space!

2. Wave-Particle Duality

While studying photoelectrons, Einstein discovered that light waves become particles when in contact with each other. It was later discovered, in the ‘double-slit’ experiment, that photons of light appear as waves when not being observed and as particles when being observed. This was also found to be true for atoms and molecules, leading to the realization that all physical reality manifests to us in response to our focused attention.

Consciousness Causes All Things To Exist!

3. Speed of Light

It was discovered that light is always measured at the same speed, no matter how fast one is moving. Ordinarily, objects appear faster when moving towards them. This was a shocking discovery that perplexed physicists and led to Einstein’s theory of relativity. His hypothesis was that time measuring devices must compensate for their own movement in such a way that they measure exactly the same speed of light. This led to the idea that a person in a fast moving object would experience time more slowly and that a person moving at the speed of light would experience no time at all. However, this has never been proven.

The more probable reason that light is always measured to move at the same speed is that light waves emanate from the mind, forming the matrix of space.*

For explanation: If you are moving in a car (mind), the only things that move at the same speed, no matter how fast or in what direction you go, is the car itself and anything in the car (light). Time (moving light) is not experienced as slowing down for the driver, no matter how fast, and would continue for him or her at the same rate as anyone else on earth. Thus, there is no such thing as time travel, since time is experienced at the same rate to all individuals everywhere in the universe.

There Is Only The Eternal Present!

*Light waves occupy all points of space, but are only seen when willed into manifestation by consciousness. Sunlight is a projection of the Self, experienced as a projection of the Sun. The subjective origin of light also explains why the universe appears to be expanding away from us in all directions. Light begins with us and dissolves into the black holes of distant projected space.

Is our future set in stone?
Makes me think of sandstone. Made of distinct layers but the individual grains of sand make their own choices as to alignment.

But, about the "strings" connection. I just came across this:

The Hidden Magnetic Universe Begins to Come Into View
Quanta Magazine

These force fields surround Earth, the sun and all galaxies. Astronomers detect magnetism permeating entire galaxy clusters, including the space between one galaxy and the next. Invisible field lines swoop through intergalactic space like the grooves of a fingerprint.

Last year, astronomers finally managed to examine a far sparser region of space — the expanse between galaxy clusters. There, they discovered the largest magnetic field yet: 10 million light-years of magnetized space spanning the entire length of this “filament” of the cosmic web. A second magnetized filament has already been spotted elsewhere in the cosmos by means of the same techniques.

CosmicWeb.jpg

The question is: Where did these enormous magnetic fields come from?

One possibility is that cosmic magnetism is primordial, tracing all the way back to the birth of the universe. In that case, weak magnetism should exist everywhere, even in the “voids” of the cosmic web — the very darkest, emptiest regions of the universe. The omnipresent magnetism would have seeded the stronger fields that blossomed in galaxies and clusters.

Primordial magnetism might also help resolve another cosmological conundrum known as the Hubble tension. The problem at the heart of the Hubble tension is that the universe seems to be expanding significantly faster than expected based on its known ingredients. Cosmologists Karsten Jedamzik and Levon Pogosian argue that weak magnetic fields in the early universe would lead to the faster cosmic expansion rate seen today.

"A scientist doesn’t call an atom of oxygen, or one of any other element, alive, let alone conscious. Yet a collection of certain atoms assembled into a human form calls itself alive — and vehemently denies the same status to identical atoms that have the misfortune to exist outside of that human framework." ~ Robert Butts Jr.

“Reality is a language that is talking to itself about itself”

A Theory of Everything (TOE) is not a theory that "explains everything" down to the smallest detail. Due to problems like undecidability and Heisenberg uncertainty, it can't be exhaustively predictive. A TOE is a theory that explains reality in the large, comprehensively but with reasonable limits on specificity.
The CTMU is the only theory that comprehensively explains reality - i.e., that excludes nothing real. Hence, it is the only possible TOE. (When physicists write of a TOE, on the other hand, they're usually talking about a unified field theory that merges the four fundamental forces of nature - strong nuclear, weak nuclear, electromagnetism, and gravity - into one, with everything else swept under the rug. If they had one, it would be a mere subtheory of the real TOE.)
There are several simple overall descriptions of the CTMU, from a language that talks to itself about itself, to a self-simulation, to a system of identity operators. Those who deny the intelligibility of any of them are either deceitful, or dummies plain and simple.

The Universe Might Have a Fundamental Clock
Science News

In physics, time is typically thought of as a fourth dimension. But some physicists have speculated that time may be the result of a physical process, like the ticking of a built-in clock.

If the universe does have a fundamental clock, it must tick faster than a billion trillion trillion times per second, according to a theoretical study published June 19 in Physical Review Letters.

============================
Reading this article led me to the Higgs field.
Something that definitely needs more of my investigation.

One can get lost in the minutiae. God has given us all the information we need about this life in scripture and via the holy spirit.

Does it matter how the universe truly works? I guess it could be interesting to learn... but then what? There will always be something else under the surface. An endless pursuit.

Our lives on earth are finite, this is not our home. The only thing that really matters is how we respond to the gnawing of our consciousness. Do we choose a never ending, futile pursuit of earthly wisdom or do we trust in Gods promises?

The only thing that is certain is we will all die. We have the opportunity to enter into God's presence (and learn truths and joys beyond our present comprehension) or be eternally separated from God, lost and suffering forever.

All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particle of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together.

We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind.

This mind is the matrix of all matter.

- Max Planck
